Stu sucks at gaming I tore 3 ligaments and 3 tendons on my right foot so it’s always tight. Doing seated calf raises helps a ton with my mobility. I usually do mine at the end of the workout so my ankle doesn’t lock up the next day. I’m going to start doing them before like this now. An old powerlifting belief is that seated calf raises help prevent knee pain too.
@@darrellgrant7615 Makes sense. I once heard, that if the ankle is too stiff the knee tries to compensate for that lack of mobility. My ankles are usually pretty stiff too, so let´s see how that could help me.
Mean green is a pros pro just goes about his lifting session like it’s another day at the office. No need for all the hype like you see with so many folks on the you tubes.
Tons of weight and just a huge focus on doing it right and finish all the sets. Just as it should be, no more moaning from the very first set even without touching the bar.
Thanks for the information on the squat bar at 55 poundsIf the plates are 45 pounds than the amounts shown on the are off by 50 poundsIt is still impressive though.
The first set 176lbs. Im from the UK, thats 80kg. How do you get 80kg from 2 plates and the bar? Im no expert, but i make that 25kg x 2 plus bar im presuming is standard 20kg. Please excuse my ignorance. But i was watching that and was quite confused.
These young punks shouting come on Dan and you look at the weight not even heavy. You guys got to learn what's the difference between being a nuisance or actually encouraging someone. It's more annoying than anything else. Heck they should follow him to the hex squat machine and starts shouting as well come on Dan lol.
This is crazy.. increasing reps with increasing weights.. that makes me rethink everything
Alex Day it mostly makes me cry. Brutal
🤯
I was thinking the same thing! I’ve never seen a rep scheme like this before. This man is a beast!
These weights are submaximal for Dan. so the higher rep ranges are doable, and no less impressive
with apnea reps, embolism is coming
Dan Green is the man my favourite powerlifter of all time
I wish I could do Dan greens "deload" day. 523lbs for 13 clean reps. Poweeful!
for a silly moment I thought Dan's legs had gone a bit smaller... Then the hack squat footage confirmed I was in fact, being silly.
legit same thought! its the knee sleeves
@@valhalla.training his legs are huge no tear drop though wonder why
@@Roadglide86 he's had surgery to reattach his patella (quadriceps tendon) back to the knee.
@@valhalla.training that explains it, thanks.
He has gained some weight I think. Good for him :D
Excellent footage, always great to watch videos of Dan training
Geez that’s a good looking squat right there. Simple, elegant
I love the way you talk to the camera. It’s like you’re talking to a friend hahaha 🐐🙌
Calf raises to loosen up the ankles. Never heard that before but seems interesting. Will try that tomorrow.
Same here and the crunches.

Is this dan green who voices viva pinata xbox 360 trailer?
No lol, I can see where the confusion comes from tho.
Definitely not filmed on a Monday.
Trying to add the weight in my head. How much does that bar weigh?
25kg/55lbs
It's a Squat Bar.

I think they are calibrated plates making each plate's weight at 55lbs.
@@roberttaylor8690 They're callibrated competiton plates. each one 25kg/55lbs as well.
Wow!!!!
How much does that bar weight?
55lb / 25kg. It's a Texas Squat Bar
Do you think Dan went?
Crazy D
Faca na caveira!!!!!💀
Numbers for reps I can’t even comprehend and he does it beltless with naked knees at a fairly average RPE 😂
Silly stuff. What a monster
Song name?
Which one?
yeah just a light day 530x13

HE LIVES!! JESUS HAS RISEN.
Why does the video constantly get darker though?

All natural or is he taking supplements(PEDs)?🤔
All the top level powerlifters are on PEDS. But that doesn't take away their hard work.
@@handsomesquidward5160 there are utested and tested orgs. Some untested records where in fact threatened if not broken by tested athletes.
