One of the things I love about DS is the animation. I would watch a show like this, even if it was just noises and no dialogue since the expressions everyone makes need no explanation!
There is obviously an audience for it, but, sadly, no matter how good it was, a decade or so later, they'd screw it up by relaunching it as Don't Starve Go, where all the charters are hateful idiots.
Freshman year of college I downloaded a free PS+ game just to try it out. 5 years later and I've bought this game on so many different systems and recommended it to so many friends that I've lost count. And y'all are STILL putting out amazing DLC all these years later. Best zero dollars I've ever spent.
Love the slight social interactions between the characters! Like how they all actually cared for each other and how wigfrid being the battle ready person she is, was ready and prepared to guard her allies/knew something was up, awesome animation!
Id only wish they make this game harder than it is right now. Game used to be much more difficult couple of years ago. I hope this will return, because game is so easy now and by that - boring

McTreex I actually think that this will cause them to come back as what else could make you come back to your kingdom other than a giant space rocks with aliens. But that’s what I think
chainsawplayin I’m more hoping for single person boats. I built a boat and kitted it out and my friend tried using it and 5 minutes later came back remarking on how we aren’t using that boat again.
The attention to detail is so good! You can see that wigfrid has low sanity and low awakening because of her eye bags and messed up hair, showing why she isn't affected by the Gestalts.
@@jcl6100 Webber is due to being a child, whereas Wigfrid and Willow do have something a bit crazy about them. Willow and her fires, as well as her magical Bernie, and Wigfrid takes her acting too far and even her portrait depicts her as crazy.
Once again Klei proves they're the greatest game developers and actually care about their games and their players. I am so psyched to try this out with friends. Thanks Klei!

This is great I loved shipwrecked so much and played it a lot back in the day. Recently did a couple days of shipwrecked and ended up complaining about how there isn’t something similar to it since the sailing mechanic is so cool and just having to explore different islands adds a lot. Haven’t read any news or whatsoever about don’t starve and here we go! I wake up open my phone see a new video about don’t starve recommended to me and it turns out that all I’ve wanted from this game has come true. Thank you!

that was glorious :D I love seeing the characters in the animations, and as always poor Wilson X) first trying to get his lunch from a hound, then not being able to outrun the incoming tidal wave. All the little bits are so much fun! And Wigfrid just ready to throw down and fight ^_^ so much goes into these animations, it's so cool! I always look forward to the streams on tusdays and thursdays, but especially when people come in to talk about the animations and show the steps and all the work that went into them :) lots of fun.

I’m just imagining the scene afterwards. Winona and Wilson just wake up completely disoriented to see Wigfrid, looking like she’s been dragged backwards through a thorn bush, sitting next to the corpses of the monsters. Wonder how quickly they’d nope off the island?
This animation is so good! There's a lot of things to like in this, but the one that stood out the most for me was certainly the interaction between the characters! Like Wigfrid and Winona helping Wilson after the wave hits, or Wigfrid being ready to protect her friends near the end! This animation has truly shown the "Together" aspect of the game like no other did! It really gives the characters an emotional depth! Also, OMG, they look so cute in this animation! I love their facial expressions (especially Wilson's xD), and Wigfrid looks really cute even when ready for battle! Thanks for all the great content Klei! I'm really excited to play this update!
I'm so happy to see my girl Wigfrid animated again. I love how she stands in defense of her fellow survivors! These animations always manage to capture the personalities of the characters without a single word of dialogue.
The love and care you put in these animations is noteworthy Klei, at 0:26 we can see that Wigfrid is insane and later in the cinematic 1:15 she is not a lunatic, showing how they adapted the mechanic of sanity = lunacy into the animation. truely amazing

More Maxwell please. He's the most interesting character. He used to be evil, he created this world, new antagonist is his lost love etc. He should be the most important part of the team because of his knowlege and Codex Umbra. I'd love to see how others treat him because of his past and the fact that he has changed. Please involve him more often in these animations, whitch are awesome anyway :)

Awesome video! Really builds the hype! I love that you switched between animation and game-play, but kept the characters Wilson, Wigfrid and Winona consistently the ones going through the more 'story-line' aspect. Lovely trailer, excited to try out the new update!
