We tow our Bronco as well. I did lots of research and found RVi for my braking system in the Bronco. Curt Manufacturing makes a plug and play for the lighting so no splicing wires. Great video
I actually read your thread on 6G, that is terrible! Were you able to get a definitive answer from Ford that this is the car's behavior when the battery gets too low?
@@BOOTENWAGEN Yes, from a lead technician in Dearborn. He specifically stated that the Bronco will switch from neutral to park when the battery voltage drops too low.
@@63GBPackerfan wow, that's kind of a huge problem. Can't possibly be difficult to fix this with an over the air update, surely this would be worth the 10 software engineering hours or so over having to honor warranties for destroyed transfer cases. Or you know... a class action lawsuit.
@@BOOTENWAGEN Yep. Mine did get covered under warranty, but others had to pay out of pocket. I suggested a class action lawsuit, which I feel is totally warranted. I am getting the charge line installed next week though.
@@63GBPackerfan right, at least they covered it, and I can't imagine what line of logic they're using to deny people. But man, I feel like I dodged a bullet. I didn't have a charge line the first time I towed AND I forgot to turn ACC off lol.

Thank you! Yes, I would've loved to have known about the Curt plug, would've saved a significant amount of hassle.
I was the guy that made that software update possible. It only took months and months of speaking with ford and its engineers. It was very frustrating
Fascinating! If you care for it, mind telling the story? It sounds interesting.
Do NOT let the voltage on the battery get too low as the vehicle will go from neutral to Park. Ask me how I know.
