Nice! The first few times we towed were nerve racking about now it’s a piece of cake! We flat tow a Subaru Crosstrek (5MT). Love running the mountain trails and exploring. Set up looks really good!
Nice setup and Thanks for posting all the info on how to do it. I will be ordering the Roadmaster parts from etrailer also. I just traded in my 5th wheel last week and got a Class A. Signed the paperwork on our Bronco today and will begin the process of making my Bronco flat towable in a few weeks.
Looks great guys, thanks for the walkthrough, really is handy to see first hand on how to setup. you got the whole package going on and it looks like yall are setup for some great traveling ahead!
Nice setup, Here's a few tips, cross the safety cables at the hitch/receiver of course under the Roadmaster stinger, also I recommend installing a towed vehicle battery charger, I like the RVi vehicle battery charger. Even though the Bronco has a very low parasitic battery drain, you don't want the battery voltage to drop below 11.5 volts, if so the BCM could default the TCM into 2-wheel high. Safe Travels.
We did have an issue with the battery after one trip. My charge wire wasn’t working. I resolved that and seems good the past couple trips. Def worried that it would drain and default out of neutral tow mode. Thanks for the info
Great video. Not many people will take on that job. It looked pretty straight forward. (I installed a Blue Ox on our Explorer. I almost croaked when the instructions said remove the front bumper cover) What I am curious about what needs to happen inside to ready the Bronco itself for flat towing. ( I bet a lot of others wonder about the sequence to get the drivetrain ready to flat tow)
@@AlliChuckAdventures they do make a build kit that replaces the Teflon bushings and such. Rebuilt ours at 60,000 miles as it will develop slop over time. When I called for a rebuild kit at 125,000 miles the tech was shocked and said, “we normally recommend replacing them at 75,000 miles”. 😯 Lol! Long story short we did by a new 10,000 lb Roadmaster tow bar recently. We pull an F150 behind a Renegade supper C. Love it!
Oh nice. Thanks for that info. I didn’t know anything about rebuild kits for them but that’s good they make those rather than having to buy whole new setup! 😁
Good job Chuck doing the video. We put our Bronco in our enclosed trailer behind the motor home so I never researched what you do with the transmission to flat tow. What do you actually do with the transmission to tow without causing any damage. Thanks. TP
Do your brake lights on the Bronco light up as red or amber when you press the brakes on your RV? I've ordered the same Curt wiring kit for flat-towing my '23 Bronco and several reviews say the brake lights on the Bronco are amber when using the RV brakes.
Question... I just installed the same Curt harness. When you apply the brakes on the bronco, does it light the brake lights on your RV? In the video you show the end of the harness where maybe the diodes are... Mine does not look the same and I wonder if they forgot to insert the diodes. When I apply the brakes on my Bronco it lights up the brake lights on my RV.
You know I’m not sure but I’ll check this weekend when we hook up again but I really don’t think it does. Because I’ve never noticed the Rv brake light on when I’m getting the bronco in neutral tow mode and putting the brake system in before towing.
@@AlliChuckAdventures I would be curious when you hook up again. I reached out to Curt and they are telling me that the diodes in these harnesses are to protect the towed vehicle and do not prevent feed back to the RV. They further stated I would need to add additional diodes to prevent the feed back. I would imagine once you drive for awhile the electrical system will go to sleep in the bronco so it probably won’t do it after a while but no way to really know, unless you hook it up and let it sit for awhile and then use the remote for the brake controller. I think it would wake everything back up if you open a door on the Bronco.
What a great setup, and nice job installing it! Kudos to Alli for helping you out!
Thanks guys! And I couldn’t have done it without her!!! 😁
Nice install. Good to have a helper! We like you having the Bronco when we camp!
Thanks Jamie! Yeah we need a new off road adventure in camping!!!

Thanks!! no doubt we were very nervous the first time it’s time it’s gotten easier but I still check and double check before taking off. Lol.
I had some PPF put on the front end of my Bronco to help protect from rocks and road debris even though my Renegade has a full length mudflap.
Yup we have a couple rock chips already

That’s awesome!!! CONGRATS! 🥳 we are loving the class and towing the bronco. Hope you will as well.

THAT JEEP SURE IS HANDY AS SLICED BOLOGNA YOU SHOULD PUT A SNOW PLOW ON IT TO
Not a bad idea! If we only had some snow here. I’d actually welcome that as hot as it’s been.
It don’t snow everywhere like Warshington.

You will love the Roadmaster system. We put 125,000 miles over 25 years and four Motorhomes on our first tow bar.
Oh wow!!! That’s good to hear! That’s a lot of miles!!! 😁

Need to install a rock guard on the Precept
I was wondering if would need to do that. Thanks.

Thanks! Yeah I neglected the part of putting it in neutral tow mode. But it’s super easy
Hey thanks for this but what year and model Bronco do you have. Can i hire you two to install? Lol.
Haha it’s not too bad to install. It’s a 2023 outer banks with Sasquatch package
Great setup y’all are y’all able to park your new rv at the same location that your trailer occupied
Yea thank goodness! It’s quite tight but it fits!

No they are red. And turn signals amber. No issues for us. Weird that they would be amber

Towing a vehicle has to be simpler than towing a travel trailer.
Much easier to hook up. 😁
