Heeey guys, coming at you with some Cuphead LOST BITS! In this longest LOST BITS video so far, I go over the unused content that Cuphead has to offer!

Only they never added it, because it's too powerful. (Pit immunity is pretty broken in a platformer).

@@Noob10346GD No it’s not and can only occur as a knockout in the Legacy version when you deal too much damage in simple or regular mode (Probably using weapon swap glitch)

The steganography in the spectogram can be easily done in Adobe Audition but I saw Ableton and some people doing it in Audacity though that might be a little more complicated. A safe spot to hide a message would be to place the images above the range where the music or sounds are playing to avoid overlaps that would distort the original music/sound too much for comfort. I find it a cool way to hide a message or add some white/brownnoise in the background that will fit the overall music good to give some level of creepyness or mystery to your piece.

It's nice to see how some of these lost levels actually manage to make it into the game at the DLC or some just evolved then got into the game like the spider
Well, Cuphead got an update where Radish, the alternate Sally stageplay path and more was REUSED in the game. More of this might come in more DLCs!

Did you know that you can actually play the creepy cursed version of the title theme in the actual game? Here’s how:
1. Get the bad ending.
2. Go to the menu.
3. put in the Konami code.
4. Enjoy the cursed song!
(This set of instructions is completely from memory, so it might not be accurate.)
Fun Fact: That green boss from the light, is actually the original cuphead test, the developers played as him to test him out and he even had boss fights that aren’t in the game

8:20 This was kind of used in a way since if you took the bad ending in the game (AKA giving the contracts to the devil) the opening song in the menu will change to the Cuphead theme but in reverse.

I love when you access the debug mode in your videos.. it's so interesting to see what's going on in a game that we normally don't get to see or appreciate... gives you a better understanding of how games work. Plus in Cuphead the zoomed out levels and boss fights look like they would make really cool posters...

9:50 fun fact: in normal gameplay, if you stand on the angle weights thing, you can still do it, just you can see the nun, and the rulers look like rulers.
The triple shot looks to have been re used in the dlc, in the trailer there is a lightning like shot which looks very similar

I believe Pachi- pachi was removed for not fitting in with the era of the other Casino themed bosses. He was cut late into development and was intended to be used right before the fight with King Dice.
Supposedly, a patch removed his assets and trying to access his fight results in a soft lock.

Not only is this boss unused, but the boss can actually be found in a Guinness world record book for video games, it states that you would have to fight it while in a plane, thus the nickname, flying gentlemen.

Fun fact: the vocal 666? It IS played, but only if you pirated the game. If you pirated the game, the intro song will be replaced with said song.
Another fun fact (this one's rather develish): you know how vocal 666 only plays when you pirate the game, right? Well if you play it in reverse, you can slightly hear the words "you stole" in the background.

I think that the off-key piano sounds that are unused in the game were originally going to be for when a player dies, instead of just the level's theme music slowed down and lower-pitched.
They should actually make a third Cuphead with all the scrapped bosses. That would be fun!

Cuphead did the impossible of being a well drawn cartoon as a video game. It did took a long time to come but still it's amazing.

+PootisBear actually Hollow Knight didn't start development until late 2014 so thats 3 years, Cuphead started in 2010 but you also have to take into account that this was Studio MDHR's first game so they had to learn the animation, game development, etc. while team cherry's developers has had experience before with that type of stuff

The "Completely Unused" path in the Sally Stageplay fight is actually used, the only reason it's Jared is because you used a Debit mode to get it.
That was added long after he made this video.
The classy spider has only 6 legs for a reason! The old Disney classics' spiders always only had 6 legs due to it beeing easier to draw, and with the amount of old cartoon fan service in Cuphead, I think that's the reason!

8:53 if the game had sensed it was pirated, the intro was replace with this sound time stamp. With words that sound like, “you stole” referring to you pirating the game.

7:30 For some reason, when me and my friend were playing Cuphead and we choose to give the Devil the soul contracts, (Just to see what it does) when we got back to the title screen, it played that song and scared both of us, now we never give the soul contracts to the Devil. Did this happen to anybody else?
Yeah it happened to me as well. I wanted to see if the cutscene changed cause they added animation to all the cutscenes. Though this music has a echo and in the game it’s just reversed.

Probably the reason for the unused charm that has been patched may be related to the DLC, same as for some of the weapons possibly.

The light’s design is what cuphead used to look like, not even a trailer was released before that stage.
7:52 In the Final game, after you take the Devil’s offer, when you return to the title screen, it’s just the regular intro backwards (Reminds me of the Intro in Diamond is unbreakable when the visuals go in reverse)

If you push the two Cupid’s as far down as they’ll go the chandelier will fall and you’ll get taken to a nunnery and get crosses thrown at you. The next stage is the husband and wife as normal except for the grapes.

The radish can also be summoned in a secret phase.
If you get past the potato as usual but don’t shoot the onion at all the radish will appear out of the ground and travel from left to right on the screen but not shooting anything.

It seems like that other intro theme was made before the final story line was established. Instead of Cuphead agreeing to collect contracts for the devil because he bet his soul, it seems more like when he loses to the devil, he enters a tournament to pay back the money he owed.
(not to mention it seems more like he was losing from the start, rather than winning until the house eventually won like happened in the final game).
You know, that devil theme might have been for if you chose the bad ending and gave up the contracts and joined him, the choice might've been considered to be permanent at some poiny possibly or this would perhaps play the next time you opened the game after choosing the bad ending
Fun fact: the tripple piercing shot is the new shot in the DLC
Yep Converge is and the wide shot is basically Converge but it’s not as good
Ms Chalice's primary weapon on the airplane is also quite similar to converge without the "converge" and piercing
I swear I remember an image of Cuphead in 2015 where he had a Drinking Cup for a head instead of a tea cup.
There's some concept art for it in the book.

Tip: if you have the chaser unlocked, run and shoot, this way, it will build up and deal more damage to the boss, I recommend trying it in Clip Joint Calamity

most of these got into the game like the light and the giant spider guy are in the same boss battle on DLC island, and with Mrs chalice I think you can access the secret phase by standing on the angels until they click
The devil intro music would replace the normal intro if the game finds out that it's pirated.

If you reverse that file you can hear the final theme pitched down with the words “You Stole” being repeated 10 times in the beginning before the song comes up

Crazy how “The Light” is now a boss fight
its funny watching this after the dlc release and seeing a lot of the scrapped bosses or weapons were either made into secret bosses (like the radish and nun bosses, and the triple shot was remade in the dlc to be a new weapon) now but back then they weren't in the game and were just random bits of code. I wonder if later if they release cuphead 2 if some of these scrapped ideas would in the future be added as new content, kinda like how the scrapped part of the devil fight became a secret boss in the dlc
