Wow I've been in about 12 hurricanes 🌀 starting 85 Florida , then Andrew 92 to Katrina Gulfport & now 5 years in Louisiana & I've yet to ever complain about the power being off 📴 it's called mother nature ,natural disaster, God don't like ugly!! Folks in other countries have no idea what electricity even is .. I'm sure I can go weeks without it .. 🙄🙄😒😒
The United Way is offering help. You might get a voucher to stay in a motel with air- conditioning...
I thought Texas had their act together. Perhaps the governor needs to admit that climate change is real and take action to protect the citizens he represents. If he does not, they would do well to elect a better governor. I am very disappointed that Abbott is still surprised by storms on the gulf coast, and does not take action to protect the infrastructure his citizens depend on.

What are you trying to say? Abbott's effort is kind of late, don't you think? The damage was done last week. He should have picked up a phone then and got the ball rolling in time to do some good before people died from the heat or lost all the food in their freezers/refrigerators. Shoot, Mattress Mac has done more for Texans after a storm than Abbott has.
Same guy who refuses federal help and was on vacation when this occurred and was in no rush to.come back and help out. Hell it's been weeks and abbots done what exactly?
