Hey Chris, I'm interested in starting my own independent agency. I have my P&C license and also my L&H license. Other than that I have no experience in insurance. I was thinking about getting a job with an agency to learn the industry more but I'm a little confused on how to start my own. Should I work with an independent agency or go work for a captive agency like state farm? Any helpful tips on where to start would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your great videos
Hey Chris, I just left what will be the same question on one of your older videos but here it is again. I'm a doctor looking to get into the insurance business. I want to do auto insurance first and then go into health insurance later and try to fix the health care cost issue in the U.S. So, other than a Property and Casualty license and then getting that license approved by the Department of Insurance of my state what else does a guy need to start selling insurance? Also, I want to sell my own polices. I got a million cash to start the pool to draw claims from. I don't want to sell Progressive or all that other annoying stuff advertised on tv. And yeah, I'll probably have a legal team draft the policies or run them by a team to make sure that is good before I try to sell, as I assume that needs to be done since I won't be selling someone else's product.
did you ever find out how to own your own policies? There is no information at all on the internet about how to cover your own claims and keep the policy.
@@homeloanzain Yes, I figured it out for my state of North Dakota. There is an issuance commissioner I have to register with in the state and also the Secretary of State for ND. I have yet to do it but it's on my long list of things to do. You can try calling your state agencies and someone should direct you.

“Full coverage” has been replaced with the term physical damage coverage.
