Don’t forget to take iron supplements: when the actual menopause starts, you’ll have some energy (blood loss = lack of oxygen).

What I used this stage of my life was a product by Oscar De La Renta: At the time a whole of this product was so in major department stores. What you will need to purchase is the Women Body Gel or Body Wash, the Oscar antiperspirant deodorant, the body powder. You’ll have to go online because most store only sell the cologne and body lotion. I hope this helps it helped my mom, my self and my daughter’s 50 who located the products through a search process. Ebony it’s always great to see you. Please come back again maybe we can have an open conversation. Be Blessed 👏🏾

Same here… wasn’t terrible - but, it came with a lot of stuff that had to be managed. Before menopause there were the heavy cycles that lead to iron deficiency & hair thinning. I would say nutrition, exercise,a really good multivitamin with trace minerals is going to help. I had to learn I couldn’t eat the foods I would eat before menopause as well. I went from 120 to 140 after menopause. I would say you just have to really be intentional about what you put in your body in order to manage it well.

    • @PI1901
      @PI1901 9 месяцев назад

Same 54 yo. Breezed through it. The only issue I had was heavy AF periods towards the end but that only lasted about 6 to 12 months. They eventually stopped about a year later. Thank GOD. I didn't experience hot flashes. Before menopause I was very intentional about my body --what I ate, worked out several days a week (consistently for years), managed stress, etc. which is probably why it was so easy for me. Also, I think genetics has something to do with it as well.

Everything you said in the video I can identify with. Meditation, prayer, regular exercise, but not too much and eating well are getting me through. The weight gain and blood pressure changes are my biggest culprits right now. Never had to worry about either of those before.

Also, working out and eating clean helps with the flashes, weight gain and other symptoms (for me anyway). I kept popsicles in my freezer, ice water in my cup, and a fan every where I went. I found it to be a state of mind as I was going through it. I still have your song in my playlist! #NaturallyBeautiful

I'm 47 and have been going through menopause since 2019. I had a hysterectomy and immediately went into that phase. My doctor had already prepared me to get ready for menopause before she preformed the surgery. It was difficult for me at first, but I am fine now. I was on hormone therapy in the beginning. I stopped and I have learned my body. I don't get the hot flashes bad like I used to. My emotions were out of whack and everything in the beginning. Not anymore. I prayed a lot and I am continually praying. Eating better helped as well. ❤

Glad to see you here! You are correct...definitely different for everyone. PeriM was rough for me as well...skin issues, hot flashes, mood swings...I think it was hard because I hadn't experienced any of it before and it was new ish. I am 55 and now in menopause and those issues are still here, but, it's almost like you accept it because you've been dealing with it and are used to it. Also, I have done research and spoke to people about their journey and have gotten advice. I cut out all alcohol (I've only had two drinks this year and they were both sugar free drinks - vodka), I have cut out sugar (as much as possible), limited dairy, and work out often to control stress, mood swings and body aches. My hot flashes decreased daily about 85-90% for sure when I cut out the sugar and alcohol. The dry skin on face and body (especially legs and feet - like what?) have been crazy. Use only lotions with ceramides now to help with it. Completely changed all facial skin care products to ones that are more moisturizing.

Perimenopause is a bonafide bih!! Elusive sleep, hot flashes with buckets of sweat, lost libido, heart palpitations that make you feel like you’re about to take a dirt nap, weight gain a gym membership can’t fix….The list goes on!😩
Pleased to see you back on one of my sleepless nights🫶🏾

I haven't experienced any hot flashes... but it's harder to manage weight
and HONEYYYYY, the mood swings & irritability can be likened to Jim Carey in Liar Liar, cuz I can't seem to control my mouth when I'm irritated unless I consistently pray for holy spirit.
I'm STILL in perimenopause & STILL having my period and i'm in my early 50s 😡
My skin was looking like the Crypt Keeper until I got a series of VI Peels... which changed my life!!
that red hair & lip looks great on you girl

Always glad to see a video from you Ebon I would suggest looking into the BioTe Hormone Pellet. I'll be 45 on the 19th of this month. I have been getting this pellet inserted for over 5 yrs. Let me tell you it's a GAME CHANGER. All the symptoms you described this pellet will fix. It's based off cardiac output so it only last 3-4 months. Once it runs out and your symptoms return, you schedule your reinsertion.

Wow! You made your routine look easy. You look awesome!! You’re the first person I’ve found with the same skin tone/hue & blemishes as mine. I’m excited to try the makeup you listed.
Hang in there with the perimenopause. I immediately started primrose oil capsules, sage tea, Estroven Sleep & THC to remain asleep and cool. I previously changed my diet, to 90% whole foods, because of chronic inflammation and illnesses. Once you find what’s right for you, it will get better.

I'm 54 and on Lupron for fibroids. I had the nerve to think I had my perimenopause/menopause symptoms under control. Lupron dropped me in it full force. The fibroids are shrinking without having to get a hysterectomy, praise God! And my bone density is still good, but I still eat foods high in calcium and magnesium because osteoporosis is a concern as well. You're on the right track. Eating as healthy has possible and exercise are key. Self care is so important as well.
I tried going to the gym, but it's hard to find the time or sometimes even a clean gym. I work out with Paul Eugene on RUclips! He covers everything! Definitely worth checking out.

You look fabulous! Power through!! Honestly I don’t know if perimenopause is worse than menopause! Menopause was horrible on me!! It’s ALL terrible. I’ve found older family members are not very honest about how they felt during that time!

Thank you so much for sharing. I have been experiencing the same thing. I’m 51 and I just started getting acne and now when I do my makeup my eyes burn too. I start a weight loss journey. I swear I’m allergic to my sweat. I’m becoming more spiritual but I always have been. I can go on and on. Thank you for sharing.

It’s a true trip! After all these years with advances I would think there would be more to help us as women. I am sure I don’t have it as bad as some, but my God!!! Women have it so different! WHY! I am thankful that I believe in God and I know he gets me through it all. I am so happy to see you again! The insight you have is wonderful.

I’ll be 42 and I can remember watching and following your tutorials more than 10yrs ago.
