This chapter was one of the greatest things I ever experienced. Couldn't believe my eyes and ears when this started playing. This dual story arc from chapter 5 to 7 was something really special. I hope Bluepoch keeps this level of writing and quality in the future because this was absolutely brilliant and it made me really emotional.
I can't, I really wished the official channel also uploaded cutscense like these I can't with this game, I'm not crying. When I saw Kakania holding the knot so proud, but yet so lonely, it hurt my heart. Out of everyone there, she was the only the survived. I posted this on reddit and someone said that maybe, the brooch Isolde gave her was a lucky charm that gave her the chance to win the gamble of life
Just finished 1.9 last night. When this played, I saw it coming ('cause I accidentally watched this 4 months ago) and I did not feel much as the chapter was already a roller coaster of stuff. Woke up this morning and rewatched this again and damn, it hits different now. It's just so poignant and sad and the final shot of Kakania got me.
It really shows how much she has changed as well. 4 years ago, her mother died in the exact same way in front of her eyes, but she was happy that her mother became one with the essence. But now, she has the opposite reaction to the same event.
Vertin and 6 holding 37 from saving them knew, there's nothing they can do to stop the emanation(aka the "storm") and seeing 37 trying to save them... Damn where's my heart...😢

Imagine if it is Vertin that is causing the storm. Imagine the distraught and horror that would fall over her. Everyone that suffer and died, every person who's life was irreperably tangled by the storm. Isabella, the Ring, Schneider, 37's friends, Kakania... THIS SEQUENCE. This is what destroyed me. Kakania at the end, all alone in the Storm, tore my soul apart. I love this game viscerally, my life is better with Reverse 1999 in it.
Damn 37 and Kakania getting the child Vertin treatment with the Storm. I think chapter 6's story is better than chapter 7, but this ending alone knocks it out of the park.
My guess is kakania survive the storm partially because of the brooch given by isolde. The brooch basically have that knot shape and it boost the ritual's success. (Also rip 210)
During and after I saw this cutscene I just sat infront of my screen in pure shock. Its almost criminal how emotional this story got me. The parallel between kakania and 37s stories happening simultaneously broke something within me
@@mikukagamine9758 unfortunately this is heavily based on a poem(?) called ode to bacchus or just to bacchus. There are a handful of lines missing but not enough to really lengthen the song. Which is a shame cause i'd also love for this to be longer.
Just wait until they start up with doing the emotional blackmail (making you want to pull for units because you want them to be happy since them in the main story is too sad). I think that is why the Okita Alter banner ended up being FGOs most profitable (was also during their heyday of being the biggest).
Yeah, that’s how I got 37. I was worried that I might not have enough for the units I was saving for but I went through the story, and I wanted her to be happy so I got her (and luckily won the 50/50 and still got 6) :)
Spoiler: I didn't expect Besmir/Martha was willing to die with the Apeirons considering how prominent she was in 1.6, and recurring from 1.7 to 1.9 (she's the opening and ending narrator of 1.8). I wonder how Yenisei would react to know she's dead The chapter also shows how pointless the effort of Marcus and Kakania in 1.7 was since the only people they saved was Kakania and Isolde. At least their contribution bore fruit after the Storm with the Hoffman Knot (the new Storm umbrella)

as far as I understand, all the characters we met in the events starting with the 1.1 update up to 1.8 did not survive the storm? including game characters
melania went to the foundation, pickles was saved somehow and diggers went to manus, jessica jennifer joshua and tooth fairy was pretty obviously saved, kaalaa baunaa shamane and kanjira were saved by matilda, 37 and 6 survived everything on the island, spathodea ulu desert and ezra are also obviously saved, jiu and ge tian were found by foundation and yenisei works there i think isolde and kakania are saved and marcus works at foundation, avgust vila and windsong were saved by leonid, lucy and semmelweiss works at foundation, lorelei uh idk whats her deal
I remember reading somewhere that 1.2 was after the events of the main story but that was a while ago, who knows either way, Horropedia and tf work at the foundation, Jessica was taken in by the foundation, and im assuming blonney went with jessica. Isolde was arrested and taken to Foundation along with Marcus before the storm hits, so they survived
