BIG NEWS! 🚨 We're hosting our very first car event called the: Gnarly Beach Cleanup. It's basically a classic car show/cruise & beach cleanup all wrapped up in one! So get your classic ride out, bring a trash bag and come hit PCH with us for a good time. We will be awarding a prize to the person who collects the most trash!
Date: Sunday October 15, 2023
Time: 9:00AM - 12:00PM
Location: 233 Pacific Coast Hwy, Oxnard, CA 93033 (Large dirt lot by the Santa Monica Mountains sign)
Schedule:
-Meet at the location at 9:00AM
-Car show/meet up till 10:00AM
-Beach cleanup starts at 10:00AM
-Cruise down PCH and cleanup beaches till 12:00PM
-Meet back at the start location at 12:00PM for prizes.
-After Party at Neptune's Net for lunch (optional)
We will be shooting a RUclips video to bring coverage for those who cannot attend the event and featuring other people's classic cars on the channel. We will also be awarding a prize to the person who collects the most trash! We hope you to see you and your ride there. Tell your friends and come have a good time while doing a great thing for the community.

Consider doing poverty caps correctly. Paint rims black and with no trim ring (that's a rally thing) and just poverty cap on black wheel as designed looks great trust me :)
Glad to hear the Charger gets some new sheet metal. Second Gen Chargers are worth so much $, so you can’t go wrong preserving it or putting more $ into it.
So it’s not going to be a General Lee? That’s OK by me! There were lots of cool Mopar colors to choose from-Bronze, Red, B5 Blue, Turquoise and even bright Green.
I like your cruises and seeing the sights of the West Coast. Maybe some day I’ll get out there again!

No not boring at all for me because I live in Lafayette, Louisiana. For ya'll it's just another day in "paradise" so you might say that it could be boring for us. It reminded me of my monumental vacation road trip this past May. I spent the eighth day driving from San Francisco along the coast to my birth place of Monterey in my self-restored 88 Corvette. It all went by so fast I feel like I missed a lot so I plan to make a return trip to that area. I really like the 68 Charger project. There are many wheel/tire combinations that will look good on the Tempest, but I do like the way they look without center caps too.

After living in the Southside of Oxnard for over 50yrs+, the thing I miss the most is Highway 1 coastal route and the old PCH north just past Ventura off the state beaches exit on the 101 freeway. I have plenty of memories of Mugu Rock, the Great Sand Dune, Neptunes Net and Malibu Seafood Inn.
I also miss mountain biking/hiking Sycamore Canyon . Have you ever raced or attended any of the street races on Rice Road and Fifth Street or going way back like in the 80s on Edison Road in Hueneme? Those were the days.
I really enjoyed your drive to the Paradise, i could almost taste the shrimp. The Pontiac is looking better with every video, seems to go down the road really well. Growing up on the east coast i miss the beach, i've lived in Mass & Fla so my light skin has gotten burnt quite a few times. I'm glad you made it back & forth w/o any problems, looking forward to your video's next week.
My opinion on the hubcaps, it looks gnarly with the Caps OFF.
It gives it that Rowdy effect. Thanks for another excellent video keep up the good work

Great video! Haven't been to paradise cove in years! But had some great times there. Also had a killer time at Nobu. I remember driving there and how beautiful it was you could see dolphins jumping out of the water

most amazing time i had was like 88 grafitti weekend in modesto back when cruising was wide open on mc henry blvd modesto in my 72 elco. took an hour to make one block on fri night,3 lanes of cars on each side.
I've caught you a few times on my analytics feed.. been to Oxnard a couple of times. Your cars are sought after by many. I myself owned tri fives, Pontiacs, Olds, Fords, but never Mopars. Mopars have never caught my eye. I sold everything except a 69 impala custom. I bought the 69 back in 1999 as there's less of them. Every car meet I go to you'll find Camaros, chevelles, mustangs, rods, and so forth. Funds ain't what they used to be after certain things in life.. eventually, I'll finish the 69 as strict stock cruiser..

Hi from Oxnard! Yes, the General Lee is soooo over done. I'm excited to see what you all do with the Charger.
The patina match is awesome, the wheels look good either way, but my favorite is deep dish style wheels like Danny was saying.
I had a set of tri spoke deep dish style wheels on my lowered 87 Toyota truck, wish I could find another set. They were like the 5 star wheels but curved in with 3 spokes. Had a 79 Bronco that had the five star wheels.
Thanks for the entertainment. Always enjoy the show. Since you asked what we thought of the wheels I thought I would give my 2 cents. Overall I am not a fan of the wheels. I do like Poverty/Dog dish hub caps but generally GM did them with body color wheels and for sure without trim rings. If you are really wanting to keep those wheels I suggest spraying them blue to match the car and then running the dog dish caps without the trim rings. I think that would look dynamite. My other suggestion would be to swap in some 15x7 Pontiac Rally II wheels. They are common and would look great on that car. Maybe build up a second set of wheels for your drag and drive using some Pontiac Rally II wheels and some drag radials.

Glad to know yall are gonna fix up the charger more then normal. My dad's first car was a 68 dodge charger 440 R/T Blue with the Black R/T strip and it was my first car I worked on when I was 2 years old even have it on tape. before he had to get rid of it. There's time and places for people to build General Lee, Dom's, and The Punisher charger's not everybody has to do them.
I haven't been to Malibu or Camarillo in years. I need to drive north on PCH.

The Charger is fine without the General Lee treatment. It's fine if your into it, but no need it your not.
I'm guessing an Alterkation front suspension. Hopefully a leaning tower of power with a turbo.

When you were at that pier? I think that's where they filmed the rocker files back in the day. They filmed in Pomona once at the courthouse 5 second scene. I seen James Gardner when I lived in Pomona.

That was a cool drive. Cali is going on my bucket list for sure - but not until I have proper wheels!! Quite jazzed about the 3-bbl going on the Charger, even if only temporarily. If it's not a budget-buster, I'd suggest a Gear Vendors overdrive, to help ease the thirst of the carb. The funny thing is that the 950cfm has the same "economy" as the 1150cfm, so I've been told. Ah well, it's all good. Stay safe on the cruise, and KUTGW!😎

Its cooler than dangit to see tall get out and drive around the beach … i live in east Tn and ill never get to be where you are … its beautiful out there … its beautiful here aswell .. i may do what you guys are doung and take me aome videos of around here n put them on youtube .. in a few weeks when the leaves start changing colors would he a perfect time to hit the mountains riding around !!!
Btw both cars are flippen awesome !!!! Im a die hard Ford guy but above all im a gearhead and i like and appreciate all cool cars no matter what make they are !!!

That Tempest is looking tough personally I like poverty caps on the front wheels only I agree with Danny he back wheels look killer without em (and please put some inner fenders in that car) Please fix or replace those poor tired worn out seats in that Camaro and the cracked windshield would drive me bonkers, really cool that ya all drive em though.
Had to add this comment. Yeah I like the Tempest without the poverty caps. It looks “street tough” without them. Olivia’s boots may not be quite right for the beach, but they were sharp from what I could see of them! Lol 😅
Paradise Cove costs close to $100 for a parking place and two cheeseburgers. That's about 96% profit per couple. I'd rather put that money towards a new carb. The Temp st Looks better sans poverty caps.
My own opinion, don't change the Tempest, and it really suits you driving it, you look awesome, when he was beside you in the granny lane, I truly hope you never change the car😊
Great video! like the caps but they’re easy enough to change out for a different look. Did you know that some of the outdoor scenes of the 70’s TV series “The Rockford Files” (Jim Rockford’s trailer) were filmed in the RHS of the parking lot at Paradise Cover?

We worked for a year and half to build my Tempest, so it's nice to finally enjoy it for what we built it for... which is usually going to the beach! Lots of Charger build videos coming up in the next month.
