1. Sit in the light. 2. Expose for highlights with natural light. Or underexpose ambient. Add a keylight. 3. Set camera white balance to manual / daylight. 4. Set camera Focus to manual, not auto. 5. Aperture around F2.8/f4 wide angle. F4 portrait. 6. Realize eyes gravitate to the lightest part of an image first 7. Composition should not cut subject at wrist, knees, neck or the top of your scalp. 8. Consider reflections if subject wears glasses 9. Just kidding. Good sound is more important than all of the above. 10. Not kidding. Love your content ( sound/words) 🎥🎙️
What about funding? I get all of these steps, but something I haven't heard from various vids like this is where we'd get money to fund even basic business expenses. Out of personal funds?
I can't wait 😀 I'd like to launch the label in the autumn, but I'm not quite sure how to start. I know but I don't know 😅 Thank you for sharing your knowledge, the videos are always spot on 👍👍
@@OtherRecordLabels Initially, I intend to release my own tracks and those of my couple of friends who produce in the same genre. Surprisingly no one has yet set up a label specifically for this genre. There is a chance that this will work😀

Personal funds yes. We talked about finding investors here too: otherrecordlabels.com/investors
I'm keen to see this one. Feels like such a daunting task, especially when it comes to creating a self supporting business at some point.
Hope it helps!!
Genres very important I hate when I'm listening to One John ra and then all the sudden a gospel song comes on because they're on the same label.
They will my voice typing fucking with me again. They knew exactly what I wanted to say because they wrote it right the first
:)

Creating a record label to release your own music , thoughts ??
That’s the way I got started and so many others in our community. The best way to start slow and gradually grow. IMO.
