Dude I am so lucky to have met you in person. I’m that one guy that told you I wanted to be a concert pianist. I am lost for words when attempting to describe your amazing playing. I’ve just binge watched about 20 of your videos.
Cameron Cooper no problem at all, you’re a huge inspiration to me. I might even start posting videos of myself playing piano, thanks to you. I’m genuinely happy that you remember me! :)
I just subscribed to you because you play many Charvels, now you also have an SL4X, I bought the Daphne Blue one six months ago and love it! I'm really glad I found this channel.
I think the opposite. Drastic drop in quality last decade. I am an owner of a mid-end Jackson and played 2 high end Jacksons -- all had tons of problems and for the money you pay the built quality is horrifying.
Just found you by accident man. I love that guitar. Thank you for showing it to us and doing the nice review, and wonderful playing by the way, as well. I can tell that you might be a little bit of a Def Leppard fan...🤘
These play amazing and sound great, which you did a amazing demonstrated for us! But there's a Charvel version of these called the spectrum, made In Japan and are amazing. You can get them on the cheap and suggest trying one out one day. Great playing as well Cam!
I remember seeing the lead guitarist from the Cars, Elliot Easton playing one of these back in the mid to late 80's. I checked one out at Guitar Center in San Diego back then. It had stacked single coils instead of Hot Rails. It was a bolt on neck. Pink. It could shred and it could clean up and sound like a Strat with quiet single coils. It was probably a dealer one off. Kramer and BC Rich dominated the market in those days. Good times. Great demo Cam. I have been wanting to see what Laurel fretboards look like. Seems a decent replacement for rosewood.
I own the orange colored version of this guitar!!!! I was going to buy the pink, bubble gum colored soloist , but at the last minute, I went with bright orange because I wanted that guitar that Jeff Beck played on that Ambitious music video!!! 🎶 😊 😃 😊 😀 😄 😁 Well it looks kind of the same guitar!!!! LOL 😆 Cameron can make any guitar sound and play good !!!!😂
Have you ever played the SL3X? If so, how do they compare? Also being a Charvel guy, how do those compare? I'm looking to be able to play everything from stoner/doom to crossover/thrash to blues.
Hey Cooper, can you help me? Did you recieved that guitar with the hand tag of inspection, or instead, only had those stickers in the black (about quality control)? Thanks🍺
@@johncooper6265 Yeah, I imagine the shipping from the USA is expensive too! Grover Jackson is like one of my hero's! Along with Wayne Charvel. And of course, we all know the history. The two of them have made some of the greatest guitars of all time!
@@DetroitWrecker666 it's a shame you don't see them more available in Europe... Only seen them at one chain, but not had a chance to try them as yet... They do look great
Nope most jacksons have wider necks looked it up adrian smith model doesnt and cameron said sl4x isnt wide ether so not all of them are i was wrong im glad thats good

Nice video man! Jackson Forever!!! Lynch Mob riff opening!!!
Greetings from Brazil
If a Stormtrooper played in a band, this is what he would choose!
He wouldn’t be able to hit any notes….

Just picked up a mint neon orange one of these 2nd hand. Amazing value for money. Really nice to play.

Dude, that sounded great! Love the sounds you were producing with the guitar. Thank you for the review
Jackson makes great stuff these days; Pro series or American Jacksons are the greatest guitars in production right now.
I love my dinky pro
I think ibanez makes the best guitars and esp.But for sure, american Jacksons are gems!
I think the opposite. Drastic drop in quality last decade. I am an owner of a mid-end Jackson and played 2 high end Jacksons -- all had tons of problems and for the money you pay the built quality is horrifying.
I agree with you buddy they do make the best guitars all around and the original custom shop guitar makers
Indonesian ones are lacking however
I always loved the look black pickguard on a white body. Wish the guard was a bit bigger put to your point it is very distinctive!
I have the Daphne Blue version and I wish the pickguard was larger as well. I think they went for a "different" aesthetic.
@@DBSG1976 I remember a similar model in the 80s and I think it is also intended to mirror that.
@@PDXguitarfreak Same model without the pickguard, Jeff Beck was playing it back in the 80s.
@@DBSG1976 Yep that's what I recall now too :)
That pick guard stying is of a 1950s Fender Precision or Esquire bass design which gives the Jackson a cool little retro vibe .
Everyone pointing out Gods of War, but that tasty treat of Ring of Fire before was fantastic \m/
Loved the Gods of War riff Cam!!
Just found you by accident man. I love that guitar. Thank you for showing it to us and doing the nice review, and wonderful playing by the way, as well. I can tell that you might be a little bit of a Def Leppard fan...🤘
Great song , & finally a Jackson! Yessiree 😃
Love the 'Gods of War' riffs you slipped in there!
Great video! Thanks for sharing
That's marvellous, looks great and sounds perfect.. I have a Jackson Dinky.
I've got a Jackson Dinky as well. Love the guitar but the name is silly to me. 🤘😀👍
About time we got some Def Leppard on this channel! What are your thought on Phil Collen and the late Steve Clark?
Neat guitar, awsome playing as always
Hey dude... I'm from Indonesia, that's awesome 🤘🔥
Def Leppard's "Ring of Fire" intro riff nicely done there! Their Retroactive album is their best work ever in my opinion.
Some George Lynch in the beginning, hell yeah.
what song is that?
@@yonikup2865 All I want by Lynch Mob!
Sounds great 😎 . Along with ring of fire riff 🔥 awesome 🤘
All I Want! great guitar for the price not crazy about the looks but really plays nice for the price range.
Cool looking guitar.
Love that George Lynch riff

It was a Charvel Jeff Beck used one aswell
Charvel Spectrum.
Great review Cam, loved the def leppard riffs 🤘
That riff at the beginning sounds like it could have been a Dokken tune that got cut from an album....killer!
Lynch Mob "All I Want".
Would you mind telling me what effects you have going? That def Leppard tone is pretty much spot on. I've been trying to get it figured out and can't
I'm using a Yamaha THR10X amp. That's it
I'm on a mission to own one of these now.
Checkout the Jackson DK made in Mexico with the JB and 59 and floyed rose I think you would really enjoy it. That’s what I have

A little Lynch Mob and gods of War in the morning, eh? 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Dude what was the name of the song at the begining?
Ring of Fire by Def Leppard. Best band ever.
Poncho Alfaro All I Want by Lynch Mob! That whole album kicks ass!
Have you ever played the SL3X? If so, how do they compare? Also being a Charvel guy, how do those compare? I'm looking to be able to play everything from stoner/doom to crossover/thrash to blues.
If you can play all of those well, all of them will suit you
4:12 Def Leppard "Gods of War"?
Ñisssssssssce 🎸
Hotrails sound right!
Nice guitar but gotta ask what is your signal chain? What are you using to bump it up? Sounds like its about to go off the rails! I like!
Just into a yamaha thr10x
Def Leppard Ring of Fire. THat's an obscure song. Nice.
Bro played the shhhhhhhieeettt out of it
Poplar is like basswood but a little denser.

You play really good!
The guitar is fuckin awesome!
Thrash'n'beer from Portugal 🍺🤘
Was that a bit of Lynch Mob I was hearing?
That's right:)
I know type correct ion pick guard STYLING you get the gist, anyway it's a cool guitar .
How does this compare with the Charvel Dk24 guitars? Just watched your review of the DK24s and loved them, really in-depth!
Whats the name of the song of 4:12???🎸🎸🎸
That laurel fretboard looks quite hardy.
What amp and effects did u use here? Sounds amazing
Como suena esa guitarra
Is there an older model of jackson or charvel back from the 80s that inspired this one?
Yes the Charvel Spectrum
Hey Cooper, can you help me?
Did you recieved that guitar with the hand tag of inspection, or instead, only had those stickers in the black (about quality control)?
Thanks🍺
incredible playing control and great sounds. what is your rig?
Thanks very much! I have been a happy user of the Yamaha THR amps for many years, I absolutely love them!

for anybody that knows, any chance for a song list?
Are you self learn on guitar??
ACTION JACKSON! It always seems they have the lowest possible action. Have you played any of the GJ2 stuff, Grover Jackson is currently building?
Not tried them... Barely any dealers in UK

What amp are you using in this video Cameron? this guitar sounds quite amazing =]
I'm using a Yamaha THR10X.
Great soun, but the black pickguard top in front not pretty.
Is the neck wider like most jacksons? Thats my only problem with jacksons i dont know why they always make them like that
Its quite a thin neck
yeah my PC-1 has wide(r) neck than all of my other guitars, and I just thought it was because Phil has large hands.
Nope most jacksons have wider necks looked it up adrian smith model doesnt and cameron said sl4x isnt wide ether so not all of them are i was wrong im glad thats good
Are these pickups microphonic
That's a beaut...
What are you using for guitar tone?
Yamaha THR10X in this video
does it have a coil split?
No, it's a 5 way switch
Which pedal is it??
No pedals. I'm playing a Yamaha THR10X
Def Leppard!!!!!!
Nice guitar, but that scratch guard would have to go.
@5:32 just spanked Father Vai =]
I didn’t know rick astley played guitar!
That fretboard is dying of thirst
🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩👏👏👏
Sounds alright but it looks awful.
