Love 💕 your front yard that way I do may front yard when I see how you do it I say to my husband look see some one do the yard like me I mom that love flowers and nature 🇯🇲 keep up the good work god bless you and family
I think I’m going to keep them too! They’ve grown on me a lot and yes I watered really good to get everything in. This was work but I’m so glad I got it done!
I like having the tree and it's going to be huge eventually which might change my mind. Our HOA requires two trees so I have to keep either it or another one, but now that the leaves are in and it's not as mature as it will be its really pretty. The bright green leaves add some pretty interest. I'll have to take a pic and post it on my community tab.
I’m loving your home. We finally moved in our last home 3 months ago after breaking ground 8/20. So many setbacks as we too had custom built. Be careful with planting near utility box. My neighbor in our last neighborhood did this and ATT billed her $8,000 because of the shrub she used. Some shrubs have thick and long root system. She planted them 3 years prior but some homeowners were having problems with internet. When ATT came to dig and find problem they noticed the roots of her shrub intertwined with the underground cables. To add injury from that GA power came to “inspect ATT “ around the transformer and too noticed the roots were growing under concrete transformer sat on. Just a heads up for anyone. Oh yeah she got fined by city and county $740. In total she paid out almost $9000. Because of her and other cases the county updated the codes where we can’t have any shrubs or plants within 5 ft of any utility.
Thank you and geesh That’s expensive! The saving grace for us is the shrubs are mandatory around the boxes we have to have them so I’m hoping they prepared for the requirements to have the shrubs. I only replaced what was there with shrubs I prefer. That’s terrible though my nerves would be so bad
You did such an amazing job! At our old house, I did the garden and when I was digging, I found a worm snake. I said NEVER AGAIN! lol!!! I am traumatized. 😂
Hi, did you discard the holly bushes? Holly bushes can take full sun, specifically 6+ hours/ day. They were placed in front of the utility box because eventually it will block it. They usually bloom in late spring and grow up to 6ft tall. If you have them you could transplant elsewhere. You have a beautiful home.
Hey hey! No I gave them to a neighbor down the street. I know why they placed them there but they were struggling, I’m not sure if it was transplant shock or what but they did not like that spot. I may adjust the irrigation in this area to get better water to the shrubs period but they were not happy there at all.
I'm loving the garden work mama. Send some of that Texas heat to Germany please... Went to start working on my patio the other day, because the weather was so nice and warm for the past few days. Woke up, ready to work, and it's ice cold with reports of snow. Like wth... Just because I made plans to work in the yard. Lol
Girl I’d die if I saw snow this time of year lol I can’t!!!! We get down to the 50s at night and that’s all I need. I’ll send some warm Sun your way friend! I didn’t raise you were in Germany!!!
It will be beautiful when it matures...Friend I'm glad you have a green thumb 👍🏼 because I would have hired a landscape/flower type company to see my vision and execute it...Part of the budget check ✔️ 🤭😊
New to the channel, everything is Beautiful. Word of caution, be careful when digging around flag markings or buried cables, you don't want to hit a gas, electric or utility line. Otherwise, Beautiful!!
Thank you!!! We just replaced what was already there we didn’t dig any deeper. I do plan to do some other planting around that area but I’m hiring someone to professionals do it for that reason
Hi Kae👋🏽👋🏽 I love your front porch your furniture goes with your home I love your door mats beautiful. And I love all of your flowers that you have planted the colors are epic. You have inspired me honey but you know I love your home🥰🥰🥰
I love rosemary bushes. Pretty and functional. Smokers can rub in their fingers to remove smoke smell. The hibiscus are so beautiful... and love your glasses.
My majesty palms seems to be in shock after the winter. I'm trying to save them as we speak. I have no idea what to do, but if they die, I guess I'll just have to find a different plant.😔
Love your porch & plant colors. I’m in north Texas. My neighbor failed to check with utility company before she placed plants next to utility box. The workers pulled up and tossed them aside when they needed access (3 times).
Omg that’s so frustrating I’m sure. It’s mandatory for us in our community to have shrubs around the boxes so if they have to remove then they’ll also have to replace them.
I like the chairs on the porch. The color compliments the brick very well. You already know I can’t do real plants but I may just try a little something, something out front. I’m inspired 😝
Thank you friend!! I’m going to send you an easy one that you can practice on lol like a snake plant lol I’m trying to pull that wood color all over. Dis werk lol
These are hardy down to a zone 5 o believe and I’m 8a so they should be fine. I am a little concerned about the soil though it’s rocky and I hope that doesn’t ruin my plans.
Great job! I love to see these types of videos. One suggestion I'd share since you mentioned not wanting to look at the "ugly units" is investing in a privacy fence designed to camouflage A/C units, pool equip. or recycling/garbage bins. There are lots of options to match your aesthetic. Tfs
Thank you! I think that’s a great idea but our HOA doesn’t allow it. It has to be shrubs or a flower bed so I’m hoping once the Hibiscus get root in they’ll do well and help hide the boxes.
Heyyyyy!!! So I hadn’t thought about painting the front, but I was def thinking about what I could do because it doesn’t look as polished as I want it to. So now I’m intrigued… 🤔🤔🤔🤔 what color do you think???
I have four of the holly bushes two of them are on either side of my front porch. And the two that receive full sun are big ,full, and pretty. The two that receive a little s un are puny, sparse, and not nearly as beautiful as the ones that receive full sun. I wish I had them all around my house because they do so well with no maintenance. just a little trim a few times a year.
I wonder if it’s just too early for them since they got planted when it was cold. I see a lot of buds on them I’m going to nurse them this year and see what happens. They were so full when they were planted but they’ve get declining. I know how pretty they can be and that would be so easy!
Keep watering them and add a little liquid plant food to the water. We watered every day for the first week or so and then they just took off from there,.I live in Georgia and the weather here is something serious.
@@KaeWhitaker hey girl!!!! I am just as excited as I wanna be for y’all!! I am planning on a landscaping team to do the initial work. Praying I can keep it up after that! How are the kids enjoying the newness??
Love the porch decor. I am definitely getting that liquid fence. I was so disappointed last year between the deer and raccoons eating EVERYTHING 😫. I've invested in so much and Nothing has worked. Thanks for great video and gardening tips 😊
I didn’t know how had your deer were here until the put the landscaping in and the next time I can’t my poor plants has been pulled up and nibbled on, but this stuff works, so I’m stocking up to keep my flowers safe lol.
A friend has rosemary bushes (my favorite herb) across her front & side of house. She keeps them about 3ft. I always ask for some. I pay $2-$3 dollars for a couple of sprigs at grocery store.

I think I’m going to keep them too! They’ve grown on me a lot and yes I watered really good to get everything in. This was work but I’m so glad I got it done!
Its amazing 👏. If it was me I would dig up the tall tree in front. Inventually grown and cover up view

Hello, I love it❤️
Hi Dee! Thank you so much!
I love the chairs. I think you should get taller plants for the front door - same color as the ones you have.
Thank you I think I’m going to do taller plants in a taller planter by the garage and leave these short. I still haven’t finished this area lol
Texas sun is no joke lol! Im in Dallas so the way our heat hits you is insane
And it’s so unforgiving!!! It’s March and I was sweating bullets this Texas hear just hits differently lol
