Imo, these guys shouldn't be allowed to gain more than 10 lbs from weigh in to fight night.
Ryan came in at 143 lbs. vs Oscar Duarte, the fight before Devin. Maybe Eddie should have clarified about this during negotiations what the 143 lbs. were all about with Ryan before the Duarte fight. Devin made too big a deal about Ryan "quitting" against Tank so he had to take a beating for the entire fight so he wouldn't quit.
The ref should’ve stopped that fight twice where Devon was trying to get up. He paused for like two seconds he was out cold in those two seconds got up, asked the ref what happened I’m good instincts. He was knocked out. Tough to come back from this one, he does Sandor Martin’s a great fight for him.
Haney is used to always being the bigger man. First fight he fights someone the same size as him and Eddie wants to complain about 3lbs. Did he forget Haney was been doing this for years … Devin Haney 5’9 165lbs … Ryan Garcia 5’10 160lbs…. regis 5’7 155lb, lomachenko 5’7 138lbs, kambosos 5’9 142lbs, jojo Diaz 5’6 140lbs, Jorge Linares 5’8 140lbs, Y Gamboa 5’5 138lbs all of these are fight Night weight
The scoring in these fights lately is absurd, these judges are not even close in the score's. New, better realistic judges needed. It can ruin someone's career, not. In this case, but definitely other fights. So far apart, it's incredible!
Eddie is my favorite current promoter but I’m sorry I 💯% disagree with him blaming the loss on the 3 lbs and saying Ryan was way bigger on fight night being the reason Devin lost… especially because he never made that excuse for regis who’s a match room boxer. Devin Haney was 165 lbs on fight night after weighing 140 the day before. Devin has always been the bigger man physically in every fight he’s been in. This was the first fight he fought someone his own size, but the difference is Ryan has speed power and youth!
I've always said that Haney's career was on a short leash, he fought Loma at at least 150lbs and Couldn't KO a 132 lb guy...who in the world thought that moving up would translate to better results....and it's proving to be true, he's about done, he will be a journeyman
THERES ALWAYS A POSSIBILTY THAT HANEY MIGHT DO BETTER NEXT TIME BUT YOU CAN'T PREDICT THAT LIGHTNING FAST LEFT HOOK... ALSO YOU CAN'T FIX A GLASS CHIN THAT HANEY HAS...
Made a comment 16 weeks ago saying if Ryan didn't come in focused it would be an easy fight for Haney... well, he came in focused! Big difference. I agree with Eddie on Haney not looking right. Like look at Haney before even the first knockdown, he was keeping his hand down, even pulling it back during his jab. He hasn't done that in previous fights, so its weird to him do it against someone everyone knew would have a dangerous left hook. He almost came in looking like his amateur days and not like his last couple fights. Eddie saying he had the fight close... people need to differentiate "scoring" and "the fight" and make that a habit. It was a close score on some people's (including mine) scorecard. It was NOT a close fight at all; Garcia demolished Haney. Glad to see despite the bullshit ref bias, that Garcia got the decision.
Haney is going to have to get his chin reinforced. He was rocked from the first flush shot he took. Even older and undersized Linares badly staggered him but Linares was too past it to pull the trigger by then

Did he forget Haney was been doing this for years …
Devin Haney 5’9 165lbs …
Ryan Garcia 5’10 160lbs….
regis 5’7 155lb,
lomachenko 5’7 138lbs,
kambosos 5’9 142lbs,
jojo Diaz 5’6 140lbs,
Jorge Linares 5’8 140lbs,
Y Gamboa 5’5 138lbs
all of these are fight Night weight
Eddie Hurn is a sore loser Devin Haney weighed more on Fight night.
Ryan said he was going to shock the 🌎 and boa did he 😂
The scoring in these fights lately is absurd, these judges are not even close in the score's.
Haney will never be same again
Weight played a huge part that night, they looked like they should of been in 2 different weight classes.
Give us King Ryan vs Connor B-Sample Benn @ 147 nxt please.
U kissed the wrong fighters butt😂
I've always said that Haney's career was on a short leash, he fought Loma at at least 150lbs and Couldn't KO a 132 lb guy...who in the world thought that moving up would translate to better results....and it's proving to be true, he's about done, he will be a journeyman
Whether he made the weight or not, on fight night they’ll go above the 140 weight the reason why Devin still accepted to fight. No excuses
Haney was 151 on fight night let’s keep it pushing guys 😂
Movin forward I don’t think Devin will make that costly mistake again. He will come back better smarter and stronger. This lost won’t define Haney💯
He's not mad they still made money but Eddie now knows that money has slowed down now
Devin bragged about weighing 165 on the night of the prograis fight but now Ryan is “way bigger”
THERES ALWAYS A POSSIBILTY THAT HANEY MIGHT DO BETTER NEXT TIME BUT YOU CAN'T PREDICT THAT LIGHTNING FAST LEFT HOOK... ALSO YOU CAN'T FIX A GLASS CHIN THAT HANEY HAS...
Eddie going to eat his words after Ryan hits boots w that left
😂
We want Haney vs the guy you're not mentioning... VS THE BEST in 140 Gary Atuanne Russel
Where is devin?
If Ryan focus on footwork he can be way better using his regimen
Golden boy is at the top 🥊💨
