Thank you so much for this explanatory video. I am a blind clarinet player and I am a beginner. And I am working on the scale so I can transition to clarinet. I also play flute so I’m getting used to the different keys. Could you do more scale tutorials? They are very helpful
Since this is a Bb clarinet, wouldn't close the back hole and the 3 from holes with your left hand produce a Bb note instead of a Middle C? Because it doesn't match the middle C I play on my piano at home, which is tuned.
Although I do have one suggestion. Could you describe which keys you were talking about for the last two notes? Because for the right hand pink either for different keys to choose from. Are used trial and error until I was able to match your pitch. So describing which key you were talking about will be helpful. Thank you especially since there are four different keys that you can press for the right hand pinky and three different keys you can press with the left hand pinky
Do you know what the b flat long tones are? We play that in band and I don't know what the notes are and kept trying to search it up, but nothing comes up.
@@thecrownedcrimnals7467 its always the finger placement. i always thought my finger placement was fine but i realized long after the hard way that i was wrong. try to really cover it.
Hmm... are you covering all the holes and pressing down your register key? If you still can’t get the note to sound, try asking someone you know who plays the clarinet as well, or if you have a teacher ask him. Thanks for watching! :)
I find it sooo confusing C is actually a concert B FLAT. I wish people would talk in solfeggio. So … Do Re Mi etc. that avoids the confusion, for me anyway. But many thanks for a great lesson.
I have only played clarinet for half a year due to covid and I’m happy that this video helped me with my high notes 🙃

I’m sorry I wasn’t clearer about this. In future tutorials I’ll make sure I clarify which key.
Can you give tips how to play fast I need to play my scales for all region band and tryouts are in 1 day and I can barely play them fast
For “B” you can just press register key and “A”
That key combination is for Bb, B natural is the key combination that she showed
Thanks for the video!
PS: Your voice sounds like Pam Beesly. 😁
Thank you so much! My only question is why do my notes keep sounding so high and squeaky???
