      @@MrToxic-xy4vk I feel like classes like ap psych ap calc apush are heavy on memorization so you have to study a lot. I took both physics 1 and c and lemme tell you, I slept in that class EVERY DAY and still got 5’s. Physics was more based on problem solving skills, I studied for the test starting a few days before the exam 😂

    How in the world did you stay sane while taking all of those AP classes, man. Congrats on all of the 5s! I only ever took one AP class and that was US History. Bombed the test. I did do a lot of Dual-Enrolled classes though.

      Haha! Thanks, US History was one of the only AP’s I never took though. Everything eventually becomes your normal, so it became easier throughout the years despite taking more AP’s each time.

      I actually thought calculus was easier than pre-calculus so don't worry too much. Just don't fall behind and try to rely on understanding rather than memory. My understanding for concepts probably made up for my lack of studying. Calculus is new math so go in without an ego and absorb as much as possible and you will be just fine. Good luck!

    i took ap human geography freshman year and i thought i got a 2 or a 3 but somehow i managed to get a 4 by some miracle?? i just finished my sophomore ap exams. i think ap world was pretty easy and i’m hoping for a 5, or 4 at the very least. i didn’t think ap lang was too bad and i think i got a 4 but hoping for a 5. taking that many aps is very impressive, props to you for doing so well on all of them! i’m taking 2 again next year (chem & lit) and then my senior year i think i’m just taking bio and us gov (and possible one of the economics classes). unfortunately my school doesn’t offer a whole lot of ap classes so i’m not able to take 5 at one time like you but maybe that’s for the best because i was super stressed with just 2 aps. good luck with college and your future endeavors!!

      I had the same experience with AP hug my freshman year too LOL. I heard chem is pretty difficult so definitely put some studying into that one! You are also able to take AP exams at nearby high schools if your school does not offer them. You would have to self-study, however I knew people who did this and it looks good to colleges as you did not let your circumstances stop you. I also found that as the years go on, you get used to AP classes and are able to handle taking more. Whatever you do though, good luck on everything and thank you!

    How did you get a 5 on Calc and Stats? I'm taking AB and Stats next year, please save me with some tips

    • @emmettfunston
      @emmettfunston  11 месяцев назад +2

      AB is incredibly slow paced compared to BC. I recommend finding out what you will be learning about. Simply search "ap calculus ab units". The College Board's website should show you what you will be learning throughout the year and start watching videos on these topics. The most important advice is to stay on top of things and never let yourself fall behind. If you never have to play catch up, calculus, statistics, and really any class becomes very easy.

      @@emmettfunston bro im 16 and taking ab caculus, any tips please

    • @emmettfunston
      @emmettfunston  8 месяцев назад +2

      @@Mandq. For sure. First and foremost, make sure you are going to class and completing assignments. I was never scared to ask my teachers or other students questions in and outside of class. If you still need help, I would suggest watching the RUclips videos posted by CollegeBoard themselves by either finding them on AP classroom or searching 'CollegeBoard AP Calculus AB'. Their playlist should pop up near the top. Watch the videos corresponding to the unit you are on. AB is slow enough paced that you have time to really understand everything without relying on memorization too much. Often times I like to just sit and try finding any patterns that make rules easier to understand. Finally, calculus is not like other math, so do not go in with an ego. Pretend you are learning math for the first time again and just be patient. But, also do not think it is too hard to learn. If you believe in yourself and put in the time, you will find the calculus can be very easy. I will also be making videos in the future on how I got high grades in general.

      @@jonathangeorge601 At many schools you can go straight into bc after pre-calculus. However, you should really choose what class you take based on how well you do in math before calculus. If you are not extremely comfortable with math beforehand, it might be safer to take ab first. If you think you can handle bc, I would suggest taking the class. However, when it comes to the AP Exam itself, it is recommended that even those in ab take the bc exam. This is because the bc exam provides an ab sub-score which basically gives you 2 scores in one test. Even if you cannot jump straight into bc at your school, anyone is allowed to take the bc exam whether you are enrolled in the class or not.
