Took classes for Studio Art-2D, English Lang, and APUSH, and I self-studied Psych! Got a 4 for all my class APs and a 5 for psych. My reaction for psych was the same as yours for Physics! I once wrote on an essay that J K Rowling wrote the Hunger Games series. I got a 3 on it lol (It was the English and Composition test)
A 3’s a 3! I’m not sure how that came up in your essay, but I’m not gonna question it… APLAC essays are a compilation of the most random things ever
I got 3 on calc AB, and 3 on Mech, then I got a 1 on Physics C E&M though, but that was expected, that test this year was absurdly difficult, like, I was getting 3s and 4s on the practice tests lol.

Yeah, i got a five but still thought it was hard. But luckily the the cutoff for a 5 is extremely low compared to other ap tests.
Pop off! In my final year I got a 5 on AP lit, 5 on AP 2D Art, and 5 on AP World History. Definitely felt good to end on a good note (even though Grade 12 scores hardly matter lol). I totally understand these EXTRA af reactions. It really does feel like life and death in the moment lol.

Teachers really make or break these classes. Gov is one of the easiest APs at my school. The average last year was like a 4.5/5 but the teacher was really good
That’s the same with my school, our social studies department as a whole was really good. Having a bad teacher in an ap course is the worst, you fr gotta self study in order to pass

I took APUSH last year and got a 5. This boosted my confidence a little bit so this year, I’m taking AP Lit, Physics 1, Human Geo, Calc AB, and (without a class), World History.
Good luck man, those topics aren’t too difficult to understand, but it’s going to be a lot of work and vocabulary/events/people you’ll need to remember. You got this!
Thanks! I think I’ll do well on physics, calc, and hug, but lit is confusing. I know the format for world is the same as apush, so I won’t have to factor in “how to answer” when studying. Next year, I think I’ll take chem, physics 2 and mech, gov, and BC, so do you have any advice for ones that you have previously taken?
@@ralex810 gov is actually really interesting because it applies to everything.
BC is really hard to keep up with all the concepts, but since you’re taking AB now you should be ok.
Physics is same but if you already know calculus and the basics of physics you’ll be alright.

@@Jake-cc7ie well physics, calc, and human geo are free, so I’ll just have to worry about lit and world history. Maybe later on, calc gets hard, but physics 1 and human geo are just memorization, which I’m good at.

I'm a little late but congrats bro! Starting my first year of high school taking AP comp sci principles. What APs do you think I should take for sophomore year, if you have any recommendations?
Ayy APCSP was a fun class sir good luck! It depends on your school, I’d definitely recommend US History. Then maybe economics if you can handle it. That gives you 10 college credit hours if you pass both micro and macro which is huge depending on your major
Definitely depends on what you are good at. I took a lot of AP science and Math courses in High School as I’m great at those and did well but when it came to AP Lit/Lang and APUSH/Gov I really struggled. If you are moving into your sophomore year then I would probably recommend AP Seminar/Research. AP World, AP Chem, AP Precalc, or business / less broad AP Courses. Don’t take too many AP courses if you don’t have the commitment;

AP physics 2 is pretty fun (and if you dont take physics right now you can take AP physics 1). Also, this year there is a completely new AP pre-calculus course that I recommend if your school offers it. APUSH needs more time commitment (in my opinion) but it’s not too difficult in terms of content. My biggest recommendation though is to not feel pressured to take APs, and explore APs that exist in a topic you like, even if they don’t contribute to your desired future job.

good job, is ap psychology that important? i took normal psych in my sophomore year and i dont want to regret not taking the ap version
If you plan on majoring in psychology at college I would recommend taking the ap version. It would help you with credits, but to be honest for most other majors you wouldn’t benefit much from it credit wise however there’s a bunch of interesting stuff AP would teach you that regular wouldn’t. So it’s really just up to what you want to do

Congrats! How many APs did you take/plan to take in high school? I'm a freshman and I want to do as much as possible but still have some sort of personal time for sports and clubs. So far, I've got 13 APs on my schedule...is it too much?
I think I did 9 APs and 4 CCP classes. If you have good time management and study habits, you’ll have more than enough time for sports and clubs. Just make sure to prioritize your mental health!

is the test curved or something? im a freshman and dont know how the ap tests = gpa/grades like what is a 2/5
So test scores for AP do not correlate to your grade/gpa. My grades were all A’s, but my test scores varied. For AP courses, your test score means how much college credit you will get. 1-2 is failing so no college credit and 3-5 is passing and college credit. The credit you get varies per school, so since I’m going to OSU my 3 in calculus will give me credit for calc 1 & 2 whereas at Harvard you need a 5 to get credit.

“Mclovin series”
MacLauren series, special case of something called a Taylor series.
Taylor series allow you to build an approximation of a function using an infinite number of polynomials and you can build your approximation off of any point on the function (this is known as the center).
The series will converge (settle on a value) within a certain radius of values around this center.
If you are centered around 0 it’s a macLauren series.
The formula for a series like this would be the sum from n= 0 to infinity of (f^n(0) * x^n)/n!
Where f^n(0) is the nth order derivative of the function evaluated at 0 (the zeroth derivative is the function itself).

Junior year I took Psych and APLAC, I think those were great and they gave me credit that I can use. Another one I would recommend is Econ, and then with AP precalc being newly offered maybe try that. It’s all up to whatever you can handle. Good luck in AP World you’re gonna kill it!

@@EE-fm7jk AP courses are really nothing to stress about. If your school doesn’t offer any then just make sure to take whatever challenging classes that are offered at your school. Colleges take this into account in the selection process, so don’t worry if you haven’t taken any yet. The most fun AP that I took that is really easy and applicable to life in general is AP Government and Politics.

Yo! Could you show how you studied for it?
The best way to study is to do it over a long period of time. You gotta start practicing free response questions by December just to become familiar with the format. The biggest things that helped me are RUclips videos: hiemlers history, khan academy, etc. just looked up whatever you’re struggling to figure out and they will always clutch. Best of luck, get a good nights sleep before the test and you’ll do great!
