It’s absolutely ridiculous. I wish the world would stop getting offended by every little thing. It’s a shame this Barricade is going to be extremely rare and overpriced because of it.

So here's the story about Barricade in general; Barricade is a SALEEN S197 (in the 07 incarnation), NOT a Ford Mustang. Yes, the Saleen vehicle is BASED on the Mustang, but when the 07 movie came out, Ford refused the licensing to Bay because they didn't want to be seen as the "bad guys" being pitched against the "Chevy Good Guys" (since BB was a Camaro). So Bay instead got licensing from Saleen, which is a... can't think of the correct word - essentially, there are several aftermarket companies like Saleen, Roush, etc, that will take cars from Ford, Chevy, etc, and upgrade them and re-badge them (in the case of the Mustang, upgrades engine internals, adds supercharger, upgrade suspension, change interior, change exterior, etc). If you'll look closely at Barricade, he has 2-element taillights whereas the Mustangs since 65 have had 3-element taillights.
So in short what it looks like has happened is the Hot Wheels packaging is labelled as a Mustang, NOT the Saleen, so Ford probably had a hissy fit about it.
If ford has a hissy fit about, then how come ford approve the use of the mustang name on the toy packaging?

Actually, Saleen built bumblebee from a Pontiac gto because Chevy couldn’t build one themself. They only had the concept car. So Bay asked Saleen to build him one, and in turn included the Saleen as the bad guy.
The Camaro in the first movie is a Saleen built Pontiac gto custom Camaro concept

I was lucky enough to get one. Who knew that it would possibly be worth stupid money. I only saw one on eBay and it sold for over $500.00. If it is true that it was recalled because of the phrase on the back of the car, this will be one of the most valuable cars in my collection. It could be worth well over $1,000.00 in the future.

There are two versions of barricade, no text version and one with the police text
I think has to came out with hot wheel sized movie cars for the movies. Barricade was an actual Saleen mustang
the vow on the car isn’t the problem, the real problem is that the car isn’t the Saleen mustang s281 supercharged like in the movie
