Cant overstate enough how the decision by the drummer to play it straight up impacts the drive of the song. So many metal drummers might want to spice it up with some double bass or fancy 32nd note fills but this dude keeps it slow, right in the pocket. Awesome example of the pocket being applied to metal music.

Caught these guys at Club LA in Destin Florida last Saturday April 29th. THEY WERE AWESOME!! Avatar keeps getting better & better. I love how they experiment with different tones & styles......just f'n awesome. We drove 5 hours to get to the venue.Thank you Avatar for such a great weekend for me and my husband. Also, Club LA was a great venue....hell, Destin Fl, was fun too. Everyone from the city, club, & band were super nice.
I don't know where you're from, but here in SoCal, concerts get kinda dull. Like, Mayhemfest and Knotfest were great. Awesome bands. But there'd only be 2 or 3 people in the pit that got really into it. Kinda killed the mood for me :/

I'm sorry but when I read tags for this band that say Melodic Death Metal and I hear anything but Melodic Death Metal it's hard for me to appreciate them. So I move on and say for me they are not very good at all or what I enjoy or like.
I saw these guys for the first time last year(shame it was on a fest and they played 6 songs only), but this was one of the best rock shows I've ever been. Such energy... Hope to see them live again someday for a full blooded show! :)
