Farther N. Cali low inland -- 9.2" in my rain gage over last several days, *1/3 of our seasonal ave.* IDK what's coming for Sierra central but hope it's a lot. Do we figure, say 10" of snow per 1" liquid water?... prior to compaction. Naturally High Sierras wring out a lot more water than we do down here.
The rainbow you saw was most likely ice crystals in the air. One of your last videos had them falling like glitter in the sun. I'm right next to Tacoma and got lucky with the weather. Up north from us got pretty tore up from the wind, I guess they were compared to category 1 hurricane force. Our ski resorts opened on Friday, so that was good.
Sounds like it's going to be a crazy Snow Week after Monday
