    Douglas drives another excellent comparison video between the new and the classic Model 3 base models.

    I'm looking to get my first-ever EV. The '22 seems like the sweet spot. Upgrades , price, processor. I wonder if the refresh makes more sense.

      Refresh could make sense with the tax credit! Excited for you to consider your first EV! We are also loving our Chevrolet Blazer EV! Might be worth taking a look at Chevy Blazer EV and/or Equinox EV. Many great lease deals to be had right now, too (Polestar 2, Kia EV6, etc.)!

    The 2023 base has the 4 A pillers speakers disabled. If you get the hanshow wireharness you can enable them. It's an easy audio upgrade. I wonder how the sound would compare to the new 2024 base audio then.

      We might do an audio upgrade like the Hanshow one in the future! Will be sure to make a video on it if we do! :D

    Great vid! I’m curious since the prices are the same, is the 2024 model 3 cheaper to manufacture compared to the 2023 model?

    • @drive2five
      @drive2five  3 месяца назад

      I figured as much! 2024 Model 3 seems like Tesla was able to take cost out of some areas, invest where it really mattered, keep the price the same, and have an even better vehicle than the outgoing one people will love!

      Glad to year it was useful for ya! :D Thinking we'll have to do more back-to-back videos like this for other vehicles e.g. Blazer EV RS trim vs. Blazer EV LT trim.

    can we plz have your review on the Polestar 2 LRSM RWD 😁 I do have a 2024 Model 3 RWD on order however, I feel on paper the Polestar seems like a compelling offer too.

      Funny enough...we have a 2023 Polestar 2 Long Range Single Motor FWD in the greater family unit that I've spent time with and am planning to make a series of videos on! Now might be a good time to consider the Polestar 2, as Polestar just made the Long range Dual motor version available for the same price as a Long range Single motor ($7,500 off the dual motor and $2,100 off the single motor), especially since the Model 3 no longer-as of now-qualifies for federal tax credit. Have you test drove a Polestar 2 yet?

    How do u like tthe new steering wheel without the stalks for turn signals and gear selector? Great review!

    • @drive2five
      @drive2five  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for watching! :D I'd prefer a turn signal stalk over the steering wheel buttons, but I do like using the screen as the gear selector...feels "magical", haha! In the brief time we owned a new Model X, I quickly got used to that no-stalk life!
