A squeamish cop, a caffeine addicted zombie, what more could ya want out of a zombie flick. It cracks me up that this flick is so hated. Think it's cuz it mocks the zombie genre, and zombie fanboys have no sense of humor. Oh, and Driver, this huge dude, driving up in the tiny car. Crackup city.

@@Consequator Every actor has their "It" role. Like how you can't look at Liam Neeson and not think Taken. Or Simon Pegg and not think of Shaun of the Dead. Adam Driver..... Hard to see him as anything but Kylo Ren.
Or.... if you want the opposite of that.... watch Swiss Army Man, and you'll never see Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter again. 🤣

@@timfarney5165 That's why it's brilliant! My brother said he'd be the coffee zombie, and I said I'd be the cheap chardonnay zombie! Almost every other female tourist who comes here would be fashion zombie. I love this movie!

thank you to whoever uploaded this scene. i died the first time i saw this from laughter ... then i came back to life...
The toned down, almost dead pan performances of everyone made the little raise in Bill Murray's voice when he said "Zombies" so effective lol, felt like he was yelling.
People complaining about the acting completely missed the point of this scene and the entire movie.....the acting is this way intentionally.
It is weird when people don't realize that not all movies are made to entertain one just person. And other people enjoy different things.
Zombies have invaded this vid, and they're fully capable of smashing all the coffee pots!
Right, I think Glover, Murray and Driver knocked this out of the park.
I was thinking at first the acting was a little rigid but I figured it was intentional between the caliber of actors I was seeing in 1 shot. I’m guessing a lot of other folks complaining about it must be a little wet behind the ears.

I like how the bystanders on the other side of the parking lot keep getting closer each time they're shown in the background.
I just love that Danny Glover does nothing but films like this now. He has always been great but he's at his best now, in my opinion.
At least he's dropped that Godawful lisp that he affected for a few movies? Or was that real, some sort of an affliction?

@SanDiegoHarry1 I met him briefly in late 2000s Orlando.gov . As a teen I thought he was 6'2" 6'04". Big guy. Danny is around 5'11, 6'00.

Just cracks me up that a director who doesn't dig zombie flicks at all makes this crack up of a movie. Think that's why it's so hated by zombie fanboys. They take their zombies oh so seriously. Have you ever talked to an oh so serious fan of the Walking Dead. Tedious is the word that comes to mind.
If you find this funny then you need help, this is just ridiculously slow and boring.

"OH YUCK" Brings back so many memories. As a rookie Paramedic everything made me squirm. After 5 years with my partner that changed. If no family, or friends, were present, we would call out a number between one and ten rating the scene. After we cleared the case and were alone in our rig we would argue, friendly, about low ratings. Like how can you rate it a 4, when they used a meat tenderize hammer. That's definitly a 6. Whatever it took to stay sane in the chaos. 😏
That takes me back, I had a co-worker who also worked for our small city's ambulance service and was the person that would be called to assist the police and coroner.
He would wait till we were having lunch and tell us stuff that had happened lately.
I've got a very fast gag reflex for some things and it was a struggle at times 😂.
It's a hard job and I'm glad there are people that can handle it.

Aside from the comedy, this makes me wonder what it would be like to be the first person to realize there are zombies around and having to convince people you aren't off your rocker.

This is why we keep losing diners. It's a shame. They were a cultural part of our country.
As a lover of diners, having lived in New Jersey for 19 years, I was always dismayed by diners closing down. I theorized it was a combination of Covid and inflation. Gosh, you are so right, it is Zombies!!

One cop pulls up in a convertible smart car, the next one in a Prius. Brilliant. 😂
What I love is the immediate sense of urgency with law enforcement.
The whole movie has that lackadaisical speed to it.

I love how Jarmusch is using cinematography to highlight the performances, and each actors different reactions. The same four shots with each character when they walk into the diner. They walk in, we see body 1, body 2, and then back to the original shot to see there reaction. Really great use of filmmaking
Also love the fact that Adam Drivers character pulls up in a smart car, but at the motel is instantly able to recognize the make, model, and year of a vintage muscle car. Contradictory characters are often the most interesting. Reminds me of Taxi Driver when Travis Bickle monologues about working out and eliminating the “poison” from his life, but is seen pouring brandy into a bowl of sugary stuff (I don’t remember what) and eating it like it’s cereal.
I guess the repetitiveness is the joke - not only the same corpse shots, but the same reaction dialog, like a running gag where the sheer predictability gets to be sort of funny after a while. Could have really driven it into the ground by doing it a 4th time, though.

I've met Jim Jarmusch and he's a very nice guy. The whole time I was praying that he didn't ask what I though of any of hs films. When I watch them, they appear to made by someone who knows nothing about and has no real interest in Film, but wants to tell stories. He is also friends with a lot of famous actors who find his work , interesting.
It's twisted just the right amount. Even a tiny bit more and agent Dale Cooper would park his car next to Mindy's and start talking about trees.
Maybe you could help out with crowd control...😂😂😂😂 a Bill Murray movie I've never heard of? Say it ain't so!

I haven’t laughed as often during entire comedy movies as for this. Just too many things packed into a scene that are so good and played so deadpan.
When the 3rd car pulled in - I was laughing - love the satire - gotta watch this now!
A hilarious movie, as long as you are into dark humor. I love when Bill Murray called the director a d**k. This guy's movies are always interesting to say the least.

The slowest burn zombie movie ever, quite enjoyable.

Definitely helps if you’re a Jarmusch fan (I am). It can be stolid at times. Fun to see so many Jarmusch veterans in one film.
If the entire cast of Napoleon Dynamite showed up in this movie, it would have been perfect.
As a viewer called it, the "underperformance" here, imagine Buster Keaton standing with them.
