Honestly anyone that knows anything abt cars will know this is one of the greatest collections you’ll ever see in your life, imagine having two 917s. Had a smile on my face the whole video
I second that my dream would be to live in that garage , such a beautiful place with top work going on What I would do to be part of that garage and work there doing anything Sales mech 12v electrical body fiberglass .Porsche heaven
Bruce is outdone by Jay's sheer volume of awesome cars, but Bruce's focus on racing is superb. Their passion is about the same! And I understand the museum is free. That's unheard of. Nice job, Bruce. Congratulations on your success.
He describes in detail a wide variety of makes and models of streetcars and racing types. I appreciate the fact that Mr. Canepa doesn't talk about the cost of any of the vehicles even though he could have easily gone on and on about the millions and millions of dollars on display. A true car guy.
He said the average time spent on each restoration is 4,000 hours. Let's say his rate is 250$/hour. That gives us... 1 cool million$ ! 😱 And I thought sending him my 35 y.o. 2.8 Fiero GT engine for an upgrade... 🤪
Bruce Canepa is a class act. In 2003 I had a 944 and drove with a group of other 944 owners down to his shop/museum. He showed us around as if we were high rollers. Great guy and a great facility.
My daughter attended college near the Canepa facility, and whenever I went down there I always stopped in to check out the museum. It is awesome how the inventory is always rotated, so every time I went I saw something different. I also hugely respect that the museum is free, so those of us who could not possibly afford to buy anything from Canepa can still get a lot of enjoyment from the cars on display.
Could listen to your storys for days on and on. Amazing. Still have goosebumps. If I ever get back to CA from germany for sure I‘ll visit your unbelieveable museum. It‘s #1 in my personal bucket list Greetings from Porsche-country.
How can I ever say thank you enough to Bruce Canapa for the best video ever on You Tube. Wow worth every minute of my time. I too am a Porsche lover. Hope some day to get out your way and see your shop. Greg
WOW! What a video. Bruce could have taken twice as much time telling me about his operation and vehicles and I wouldn't have minded a bit. I noticed I've seen several of these at the Monterey Historic Races. Thank you to Bruce, his team and the owners for spending their time and money so those who never went to a CANAM, or LeMans, or GTP race can see these machines do what they were designed to do.
I’m overdue to visit Scott’s Valley to stay at our friend’s house up the street from your shop. We look forward to visiting your showroom and museum! Great video tour thank you!
I have been watching classic cars videos for years and let me tell you that's the best! What a nice and rumble guy! I definitely will go visit! Thank you Mr. Canepa, you made my day! From a Brazilian car race fan
How can one man know so much, speak of each car's specification and history with such detail and ease?! Unbelievable. If there is one man living his ultimate passion, this is he.
Mind boggling, you can feel the knowledge and compassion streaming from Mr. Canepa’s soul. Best car tour ever. Attention to detail must be his middle name, everything is SPOTLESS. If you have a special collector car you want this gentleman to be involved in restoring it.
What an incredible shop tour !!! He’s an amazing guy too and very lucky to do what he does. There’s not many people I could listen to for 50+ minutes but every word on every car kept my interest. Fantastic !!! The only thing that made me sad was that I’ll never get anywhere near this level of automotive perfection let alone drive and sadly never come even close to owning one of these beautiful cars.
Love what i see and hear, just to bad I am young with no money. Getting ready to work my ass of. Got a dream to have some of these pieces. God bless you all, stay safe
Incredible cars and amazing shop. Never seen this until now, very glad I did. Thanks for taking the time to show and explain the history behind the cars. “Keep gettin them checks. keep givin the people what they want.” 👏🏾🙌🏾🖖🏾
The shop and the showroom are epic, but the museum is a whole other level!! I think I saw 3 or 4 real versions of the slot cars I had in the early 80's!
The Car. I love them, in fact, most things Automotive. Beautiful. If a heart got a place for a Porsche, sure something is beautiful in the soul. Commenting from the back of my VW Caddy van. Sleeping here tonight. 😁🌻👍🏻👋🏻
Probably the best video I've ever stumbled across in RUclips existence. My 3 all time favorite cars, Gulf 917, 959 and 3.6 turbo, though he didn't talk about it. I wonder how much he charges to restore a 959?
The #11 Porsche 934.5 was originally the #30 Dyer Motor Racing turbo which won the Daytona Paul Revere 250 overall. Sold to Canepa in 1978 after finishing the '77 IMSA season 3rd overall. Season included a 2nd at the Daytona 24hr and an overall win at the Sebring 12hr. The Canepa shop should be on every enthusiast's list of go to places.
The 31 people that disliked this are environmentalists and dislike cars. Great video just stumbled across your channel you have great knowledge of all types of cars. Do you have group B rally cars like Lancia 037 ,Ford RS200s etc? 959s are my favourite Porsche cars. They set the trend of what cars would be like today
We hope that you are enjoying the content! if you are interested in reading more about one of the Group B homologation cars, head over to our website to read more on the RS200! canepa.com/photo-gallery/1986-ford-rs2006197/
so much motoring history in one place, great video thank you for sharing motoring history and preserving motor history.im new here and im subscribing to your channel.
Great video, nicely done and a lot of fun to watch- thanks for making it. I've stopped in a few times- always a treat. Heard a few times the story goes over the years a few, let's say "not street legal", made their way onto the streets of Scotts Valley/Santa Cruz to Laguna or Sears- I want to hear (read) those stories!
When I was a boy in SoCal, Jr. High through college, many of these cars were daily drivers !! 300 sl, 4-cam Spyders. C and D jags, etc. - plus dry lakes racers, oval track racers (Carrell speedway ) , Riverside ! !What a time !!!
Noticed your, I believe, Greeves Challanger 360 by the Fiat 600. I loved my 1970 Greeves 380 Griffon Scrambler, and aquired a '71. Looking forward to get back in the dirt. Just had a converson with Mert Lawill. He rode a Challanger, his, in the film On Any Sunday. He was sponsored by Harley so stuck a Harley sticker on the tank. He said, "It was just the best scrambler at the time."
Honestly anyone that knows anything abt cars will know this is one of the greatest collections you’ll ever see in your life, imagine having two 917s. Had a smile on my face the whole video
I second that

I was brought tears of happiness of how much beauty was under one roof
What an amazing encyclopedic knowledge of all of the cars
Oh my ! This is the most extensive and passionate shop tour I’ve ever been on. Please let me say: thank you.

The money part is just obseane. The people he does business with have more money than most people will make in a lifetime.
Wow 😮 That was a great tour of your facility. Thank you

Wow!!! What a treasure to have this museum in our country!
If I have access to food and water I think I could live inside that shop for the rest of my life.
Thanks man 🍺
This is incredible it doesn't get any better than this.
This man is pure automotive passion..
959 is an amazing car. One of my favourite. The technology, the appeal... Pinnacle Porsche. Never seen so many of them in one shop
Agreed!
Bruce you are a genius.
Mind blown! 🤯

What an absolutely fantastic video! The collective knowledge and expertise of his team for how they perform their work is incredible.

best, most informed and interesting host of any automotive channel
Mind boggling, you can feel the knowledge and compassion streaming from Mr. Canepa’s soul. Best car tour ever. Attention to detail must be his middle name, everything is SPOTLESS. If you have a special collector car you want this gentleman to be involved in restoring it.
That was a great tour of your facility. We visited the museum once. Thank you 😊
Beautiful cars! I really enjoy the stories behind the vehicles in Bruce's Canepa collection. Thank you for posting this video for everyone.
Hey Bruce! I have a ball cap just like yours! Got to love that. Thanks for all your enthusiasm and perfection.
Amazing assortment of stunning cars Thankyou for this video.A thoroughly enjoyable 52 minutes.
Absolute class and humility! Thank you Bruce!!!
I like the fact that you can explain things and take Pride in your shop’s work but no sign of Bragging. Refreshing.
This is an incredible shop. As a mechanic and restorer I can only compare this shop to Paul Russell & Company here on the east coast.
Wow Bruce , that was incredible . Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Alladdin's Cave on Steroids , Haaaaaaa , brilliant !
This place is heaven.
wow, what an awsome collection of cars, respect for keeping them
Thank you Bruce. That was a really cool showcase. As a Porsche fan myself, you have me drooling.
Thank you Bruce I really really enjoyed your Tour , Definitely a bucket list now hope to make it up there Someday thank you take care 🙂
The man has good taste in racing cars that’s for sure.
What an incredible shop tour !!! He’s an amazing guy too and very lucky to do what he does. There’s not many people I could listen to for 50+ minutes but every word on every car kept my interest. Fantastic !!!

Wow… road trip to Santa Cruz… love to see the museum! Bruce’s (KB) knowledge base worth more than all the rolling stock, IMO.
Wow ! That was a great trip thru the awsome cars i have seen in a long long time ! Thanks for showing your treasures ....
Thank you Bruce, enjoyed a chance to see amazing cars.
This just showed up in my feed and I don't regret one second watching it. Thank you so much for this shop tour.
Incredible. This building must house the largest number of 959s anywhere.
What a literally stunning collection.
I'm blown away.
Deep respect.
Greetings from Holland.
That is quite literally my dream garage lol. All of my favorite cars of all time are in there, it’s making me jealous lol.
Great video. What an amazing place. Hope to visit someday, preferably when I win the lottery!
That 964 RS is.... Wow.
I'm not a big fan of black on vehicles but that thing is absolutely beautiful
What an awesome collection! I love all the appreciation of the early years of Southern California racing/hot rodding.
Man what a toy box you have Bruce! I've got a hot wheels collection, you've got the real thing! Well done sir!
Love what i see and hear, just to bad I am young with no money. Getting ready to work my ass of. Got a dream to have some of these pieces. God bless you all, stay safe
Better than being old with no money. 🤡
Wow, great to see the M1. Was one of my favorites when it came out.
Stupenda collezione. Anche potendo ammirare il video, si sente il profumo della Storia e la Passione, del proprietario.
Fantastica la BMW M 1.
Incredible cars and amazing shop. Never seen this until now, very glad I did. Thanks for taking the time to show and explain the history behind the cars. “Keep gettin them checks. keep givin the people what they want.” 👏🏾🙌🏾🖖🏾

Casually, "This is a 917, there are two of them here" what a collection, those old Porsche race cars are something special
And not just any two. The Daytona winner AND the CAN-AM car. 0-100mph 2.8s, 0-150mph 5.8s
@@alexmartinez280 Can-Am was one of the golden ages of racing
Was just thinking about the insurance value of that buildings contents. Boggles my mind.
Fascinating video . Thanks
Thankyou for the wonderful, and informative tour. All the best to you, from Australia.
The Car.
I love them, in fact, most things Automotive. Beautiful.

His custom "SC" versions I've heard go for a cool million plus, PLUS the car itself
Genuine guy .. incredible place
Thank you Bruce. I worked for you when you had your shop on Water Street in Santa Cruz. You have a beautiful shop here in Scotts Valley
Listened to every second, sublime. Thankyou.
My favorite was the sprint cars... big balls to race them back when that car was built ...
