I just bought the same pan from Ikea and did this process - it's the only place I've seen it. I was a little afraid the baking soda will be too abrasive but I'm glad I tried this, as it didn't leave any marks on the pan and it took that metal residue. Thank you for the tips, you have an informed community there!
the baking soda does nothing on the non stick property, if you worry about surface residue just heat it up to burn it off then wash, save u trouble to keep repeating the baking soda scrubbing. generally if you follow the correct step to use a stainless steel pan, it will always gives you good non stick effect. pre heat on medium untill water drops showing the mecury effect - lower the heat (very important) - oil - food
What if someone only wash it with soap and boiling water? I think most people do that but I’m not sure, Can you please explain more about the baking powder step
I'm not sure which method is better but I think it's your choice. If you clean them with oil and baking soda, it shows you all the dirts are cleaned. So I clean them like that.
actually doesn't matter, stainless steel cookware doesn't need any seasoning, its just habits passed down from the cast iron/ carbon steel pans. there r videos on youtube telling you not much difference with/without these steps. a lot of things is just habit passing down from the older generation, like you cannot use soap for cast iron. you can just wash ur stainless pan with soap and hot water after use. baking soda helps with black burnt spot. personally i like to use bar keeper's friend, powerful, quick and doesn't require me to srub that much compared with any other method.

I can smell the egg frying from your video. I love it too.
I have the big one on this! It's a very heavy pan, with a non stick base!!! I love this pan!!! It's my favourite!!!
When making eggs, you need to put moh oils, then, bring the oils to the top of the eggs, so it cooks evenly! hehe
Non stick is shit.
not shit! the secret is, to warm it up!@@LiberatedMind1
Oh sorry I misread you, I thought you said yours had a non stick coating 😅

You forgot the salt and pepper
아 저는 베이킹 소다 넣고 끓이기도 하고 보통 사용하고 뭔가 눌러 붙은거 같은면 물에 오래 불렸다가 식기세척기에 넣어서 그런지 관리가 그럭저럭 되고 있어요 ^^;;;;
is it the 24cm IKEA 365+ stainless steel pan?
No, it is the Ikea Sensuell pan.
@@AngelusBrady yes, thank you. meanwhile ive figured that out. this line is not avail in my country
You don't need to clean it like this.
It's made to be a bit dirty so the grease enter the pores...
Will you turn off fire if frying steak or fish ?
Are we seasoning stainless steel now? LOL

@@pink_chives 맞아요.
I wanted to buy this today but i didmt because of its weight i cannot even hold it with one hand
When you are healthy and not a senior it is something to worry that you can't hold a pan. I am 55 and can easily lift it.
heart attack egg, pool of oil
Cholesterol🥺😖😆😆🤣🤣
Are you talking about LDL or HDL
Is this non stick pan?
Is this heavy bottom pan?
