  • In this video I continue the previous investigation to why my 190e is not starting, I have change the fuel filter and fuel pump, but while doing so also discovered there is no fuel running down the fuel hose that feeds the pump.
I also bought a new strainer for the fuel tank from ebay.
So in this video I will remove the fuel tank and its strainer which is a massive 46mm socket size.
I also did a partial rebuilt of the KE Jetronics with the new bits I got from ebay, which were sent from Germany.
The next video will cover the refitting of the fuel tank and Jetronics and we can then measure the fuel pressure again and hopefully get this car running.

Could that green filter be changed without a removing the tank

I think so but could be very tight space and it was really tight because it’s also painted over. And is not green but is just that the erosion corrosion turned that colour heheh.

@@aureliomartinez2633 yes that's a problem, you will have to work on them yourself, but there is a lot of information online to find ways to fix them, they are very nice old cars, but that's the problem too, that they are old.

Hi, I dont have the specific part number, I bought it from ebay, as far as i remember, but you need to check the number on the side of the fuel distributor in order to get the correct part. Also the problem I had wasnt the fuel distributor, it turned out to be the valve steam seals, so make sure you check the fuel pressure before dismantling the ke jetronics distributor. this is the one I bought 0438101002 MERCEDES-BENZ190E 200E Ce Te 230GE fuel distributor Seal Ke-Jetronik
