I enjoy train journeys from Coleraine to Belfast even though I either look out the window for the scenery or count how many level crossings the train passes
@@TranslinkNI Do one belfast to newry like to see whats left of Gorrowood my grandfather worked there many years ago and a branch line ran right into newry town sadly lifted that line .
Hi William, we have a virtual train journey as far as Portadown - here on our RUclips channel bit.ly/3myzX59 We will be working on a Newry/Dublin video soon ^JC
This railway line used to be double track the whole way from York Road to ballymena then after ballymena it then went into single track but a lot of this line was relayed single track when it was reopened in the year 2000.

I noticed that the line passing Templepatrick is pretty fast at 90 mph. If more of the line was made for 90mph it would cut journey time.

Thanks for the ride
Interesting to compare the older infrastructure with some of the more recent additions!
Why so many depots in NI I know there's one in Adelaide Yorkgate and I just seen one in Ballymena
NIR only has one depot, York road, it has traincare facilities in Adelaide and North Belfast and sidings in Poyntzpass, Ballymena, Derry and Bangor
When was this filmed?
Hi. This was filmed in Nov 2012.
