it's actually the drummer danny carey who summons deamons before writing. He is considererd one of the best drummers ever
Hey Omar! Just discovered your channel yesterday. I have a thing for Tool reactions....I don't know why but I'm kinda addicted to watching other people discover this amazing band in real time...a band I've adored for ages. I'm 35 and the very first concert I ever went to was in 2002 to see Tool during their Lateralus tour. It changed my life...genuinely.
But quick question....are you a musician yourself? You seem to pick up on things most non-musicians wouldn't. Just curious. Thanks man!
And also do some Maynard music from his band A Perfect Circle. Start with Orestes, Judith, or 3 Libras
Tool- third eye
Tool- the grudge
Hell yes, this guy knows what's good :D
lateralus, the patient, right in two, forty 6 and 2, pushit, the grudge
Great reaction! Tool is just magical. Please do Tool - Schism, too, my favorite song.
Amaazing song, used to think lowly of it because it's one of their big hits and "gotta stay hipster xD" but I've reeeallly learned to appreciate it, definitely one of their strongest pieces and it's no surprise that is struck a chord with the mainstream :)
If you want some more deep lyrics about the human condition similar to Vicarious, you need to react to Right in Two. Great reaction by the way.
LEO Mike Both great songs and my favorite Tool album
Check out Lateralus for some complex music writing.
Sober is old school Tool. A fun part of exploring Tool is seeing how they've evolved from the more raw sound of the Opiate/Undertow era and then comparing that sound to their later albums. While the "Tool sound" is present throughout, you can see how it has grown and evolved
Tool is well known to use polyrhythms and I've heard that in some songs every instrument is in a different time/measure, their first album is great and as you said they became more complex with the years , you must know that their videos are made by Adam Jones (Guitarrist) . Great reaction!!! please react to Lateralus
You should see the live video of this, i forget what show but Maynard is wearing a pink onesie. His stage performance is so dark yet mesmerizing
This is the first song I’d ever heard from TOOL. I was 10 years old. I went to my local mall, and bought a fucking TOOL shirt! LOL!!!!
Now, you guessed it! I’m pulling out my Faith No More flag!!! Awe fuck yeah!!!!
1. The Real Thing
2. Cone Of Shame
3. Last To Know
please react to "the grudge" from Tool
#1 greatest song in my opinion.
Watch the live pro shot version of this. Maynard's singing is even better live.
Tool - Right in Two
Subbed you a little while ago. You are one of the few people on here that have Personality , do research (not too much and not too little) and very intelligent besides being real on here. Thank you!
Tool had an EP called Opiate with 6 songs before Undertow. There's 2 live songs on there and it's great to hear them as they were just starting out. The song Opiate on that album is fantastic and you should listen to that one! Enjoy the ride!
Craig Daily my favorite is Hush "fuuuuuuuck you!"
Touched by VAST. Omg
Tool - Right in Two, please
When I started to get into tool I thought of Halloween when I heard sober it had that theme the guitar was haunting it started to give me goosebumps once I started listening to the guitar riff continue to develop with volume it felt as if somebody was following me and i know most of lyrics to sober I related to the fact we all have those moments in life where we feel possessed by a dark presence around us usually happens when falling apart and the presence then all suddenly takes over the control of our inner selves those lyrics go to show you if your living through a serious depressed phase in your life that your not alone I think Maynard James Keenan is a lyric prodigy and needs to make more music with tool ever since they were on hiatus fans were pissed cause tool said they were making a new album then admitted that the album tool was putting together wasn’t ready to be released good news is they’re in the process of making a new album and on their Instagram tool was showing them playing a preview of new music you should check out half of Maynard James Keenan’s other projects like a perfect circle and puscifer if you plan to you should react to counting bodies like sheep to the rhythm of war drums by a perfect circle that gets more unorthodox as you get deeper into that song and if your curious what genre tool is they’re progressive metal/rock the genre got more popular in the metal culture when tool first became famous It takes time for me as well to figure out the words to a tool song its like a poem made into a metal song it’s funny you were saying Maynard was genius cause I think he’s got like 2 phds from Kendall college of art and design for studying art and archaeology it’s cool knowing this shit about your favorite bands Maynard proves how smart he is by writing the lyrics for a tool song If tool get back together I Listed down to go see em live on my bucket list to one of their concerts you get such a crazy experience you see Maynard James Keenan in jet black contacts with facepaint dressed all demonic and tool has props from their music videos to bring on stage and you’ll feel the music vibrating on your skin for how extremely heavy tool is when performing live I’m not really sure you take requests coming from the comments but it’d mean a lot if you could record a new video reacting to loud (fuck it) by motionless in white if you like Marilyn manson and Nu metal this is just for you just so you know I hope you become very known on RUclips your videos are fun to watch Ik some people get bored of reactions but when it involves music I like idc how long it takes to watch the video it’s still fun checking out
Do Tool - Sober (live pro shot) It is insane performance!
This is their second album. First full length; one EP before this one.
46 & 2 should be next
Your ready to start moving torward some of their more complex songs
Then Lateralus
i know linking other channels videos is frowned upon sometimes. but this is a very interesting video of tool performing this song in 1992. he doesnt blink the entire concert and stares in the same place the entire time. it is truly worth a watch though. ruclips.net/video/uZT7U097PvY/видео.html
listen to the the humble river by puscifer when you have time.
I love that song.
There are a bunch of live concerts on here of them performing in the early 90s. Some real intense shows. Maynard was less reclusive in the early days and looks hungry as fuck
Man I'm sure by now you've heard they're all gold. They are absolute masters of the craft. Been a fan for over 20 years and just had the honor of meeting Adam, Danny and Justin in May. I'm subscribing because I always love seeing others being so emphatic and joyful with them. If you want or need any info, feel free to hit me up. Got a wealth of knowledge and passion for these guys and love to share.
Simile is when there is a comparison. The use of “like” makes it a simile.
DREAM THEATER - METROPOLIS PART 1 THE MIRACLE AND THE SLEEPER
think of Tool as like a Fair or a Carnival , every song is a different ride
what he says is , "murder now the past we must weave"
Tool - Pushit (Salival - Live)
One nice thing about Tool is every album sounds different from another. And, at the same time, all masterpieces.
Genius sometimes gets the lyrics a little wrong, though you can usually click on the verses to get interpretations of their meaning. I'm pretty sure the line you're wondering about is actually "Murder now the pattern must we." The pattern being the persons alcoholism.
The bassist is actually Paul D'Amour. He left the band after the album "undertow". Not a smart financial move.
If you want to see a live video. This is a song that was on their pre album EP as well as their demo but never made it on any of their albums. "TOOL- Jerk-Off 10.10.1999" this has the best live scream IMO from Maynard.
Do more from this album. It’s a great starting point. Do Undertow, Bottom, Intolerance, Prison Sex.....All of them!!
Booyah! 1 week of Tool!
Tool - Third eye!
MUDVAYNE - Scarlett Letters
SEPULTURA - Border Wars / Straighthate
KORN - Falling Away From Me
MACHINE HEAD - Imperium
SLIPKNOT - Iowa
MUSHROOMHEAD - Solitaire Unraveling
SOULFLY - Back To The Primitive
LAMB OF GOD - The Number Six
ILL NINO - Cleansing
AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE - Pledge Allegiance
...
and thank me later :)
TOOL - THIRD EYE!!!! :D
I am a huge fan of TOOL and since a few days of your reaction videos.
Keep it up. 🤘💪👏
Hi Omar, i see you need to discover "46&2" and "Parabol/Parabola"
I can’t wait to see this guys face melt he listens to Lateralus
Jambi, right in two and third eye....lyrical mastery at its best.....cerebral songs......great wok Omar n keep Tool coming pls.....
If you wanna hear a sad side of Maynard listen to tool- 10000 days.
In the picture Adam Jones looks like he's on his way to Hogwarts or something
They changed bass players after this album and became more progressive and experimental over there next 3 albums.
You have to do Tool forty six and 2. The drummer is amazing. Lyrics are very deep and thought provoking
Also those drums you were hearing where it sounds like he’s doing his own thing is called polyrhythms
Tool - Jerk Off (Live). My Favourite song from their Salival album.
Simon Gransden isn't jerk off live from opiate?
Yes, but I believe that the live version is on Salival and it's probably played differently
Jakob maybe part of me?
This was my favorite song from theirs as a kid [granted, more for the spoopiness atmosphere of the music]! The video is creepy, too! Defs recommend checking that out.
'Murder now the path of "must we"' is like... stop taking the course of action that comes from the question "must we" or some shit. Change your ways from what's been past and done, I guess?
Parabola and Schism are good songs from them as well~!
Tool - No Quarter
david howard YES!! That song take me to a place I really like 🌈✌️
Hey dude if you like wall of sound check out "repine" by pianos become the teeth
Muse - Citizen Erased
Schism next please.
Deftones - My Own Summer or anything by Rage Against the Machine
Wow your language 😲
check out stone temple pilots - wicked garden
@OmarOmarOmar please do not say that Maynard or TOOL calls upon demons or Illuminati entities. The band is the most anti illuminati, anti establishment, anti NWO groups out there. Maynard would look at your comparison as an insult.
I love Tool tuned to 432hz :) it resonates with me better.
Tool - Wings for Marie part 1 and 2
Funny you say that about Maynard summoning demons because I’m pretty sure Danny the drummer does a certain practice to summon demons to help him come up with his drum patterns. Don’t know the details but it’s something like that. If anyone know exactly correct me please
lol, good classic story but I'm pretty sure that's just part of their mysterious dark lore that got perpetuated and rumored around in the earlier years. those days seem to be over now but their mark has undoubtedly been made.
Digging your reactions. Check out right in two, another great tool song.
It's about religion like half of Tools songs ha ha. Sober = clear thinking = no religion.
Parabola clip. Do deaftones, passenger. Pusifer, humbling river.
Do all TOOL. :-)
listen to "Hush" by Tool
you like tribal try Right in Two
I think you missed the point of the song. The entire song is about the battle between good and evil. Satan is saying follow me, I’ll take you down with me. At the same time he is screaming for Jesus and Mother Mary to “Whistle” just so he can tell they exist and he he followed that path his whole life and now he is being tempted by evil. But that’s what I think.
"The pot" only means weed when it's coming out of the mouth of an 80 year old.
Tool is a drug, and it seems that you are now addicted to it. Which, trust me, it's not a bad thing at all. Anyways, looking forward to your other reactions this week from Tool, and there's one band I do want to recommend to you. They are very popular, but not as popular as they should be. And they are tesseract. Fucking amazing band. If you were to react to one of their songs I would start with either king or dystopia.
listen to "Sweat" by Tool
TOOL 46 and 2
please react to angra - the temple of hate
brazilian power metal
I would like to see you form you own opinion of what the lyrics mean i think it would show your basic comprehension of the lyrics
get some real headphones bro, cool vid and check out the live version if no ones told you already would be surprising
Tool is great. Its time to do some Alice in Chains and Soundgarden
If you want tool info go to toolshed.down.net
React to Pushit, then react to Pushit live.
I was gonna subscribe to your girlfriend. But then I saw that she only reacts to either lil peep, $uisideboy$, or rap. So I was like. "Nahhhhhhh I'm good*
hahaha, she's actually been pretty busy with college and work atm so she hasn't had much time to upload anything at all but she's gonna be reacting to some metal stuff very soon dude! Prob get her to start with some tool stuff!
@@OmarOmarOmar ohhh hell yeah bro. Can't go wrong with TooL. Imma subscribe to her homie, cus I like your work
@@TheFalco197666 Ma man! i''ll make sure i let her know ;)
