    1) That bell at the end scared me!
It definitely shouldn't be loud. 🙂 Keep your volume LOW -- 20-40% max.
    2) "I can't hear anything!"
    Headphones are REQUIRED!
    3) "Sounds weird."
DISABLE any filters on your device (Atmos, DTS, surround enhancers, bass boost, etc) as they will interfere with proper audio playback.

I definitely agree, I'm getting tired of the music during sleep and rest meditation, wake me up and startle me in the middle of the night. Or the water noises that have me up peeing every hour. Didn't know if I would like the buzz of the beats in Jody's creations, but by far the best sleep and easiest wake up I've ever had.

@@tacthom I listen every day and have actually learned to LOVE the "buzzing" noise. A little too much sometimes, because I find myself turning it up too loud and even though I haven't had any bad come from it being louder than it should, I know it is not meant to hypnotize with the sound. I am really glad that you and so many others have given it a try recently! Best wishes!

There's nothing 'BS' about these musical overlays. They're just sounds designed to mask the binaural beat. And to provide the brain something to focus on, without too much effort.
It doesn't work for all people, especially for those who have sound sensitivity, but that doesn't make it "BS".
I too, sometimes prefer to listen to with it without music depending on my mood, but I don't consider either to be "BS".

I have been personally and professionally (therapy, retreats, and workshops) using binaural beats for 25+ years. I have a couple of comments.
    1. I find it so refreshing how you promote without over-hyping. There are so many false and misleading claims regarding this method that it compromises its actual value and benefit.
    2. Personally, your nap recordings have an amazing refreshing and clearing effect on my mid afternoon slump. I have not yet found one that has such a wonderful benefit.
Thank you, and keep up your great offerings!

I live by these power nap videos, like I was very skeptical before but a year ago I tried binaural beats to increase my energy (I’m an insomniac so not very well rested) and I came across these videos and didn’t think it would actually put me to sleep since medicine hardly helps me but I figured I’d try it anyway and it actually put me to sleep with ease and immediately start to feel my body relax and heart rate slow down. I get such good sleep listening these as well! Also, I’m a college student who survives on these power naps because I actually feel rested when I wake up and don’t just press the snooze button. I don’t wanna sound like a commercial but yeah im so happy these exist!

I wake up early every morning with my fiancee while he heads off to work, but like to get atleast an hour more after, I have never been able to find a meditation, and I have tried almost EVERYONE out there, and definitely have used EVERY TYPE there is, that gets me out of bed and alert in an actual hour. I usually panic when a video ends, and turn it off, find another one to start and end up sleeping an extra 3 or 4 hours rather than the 1 I needed. Jody is 👍 great. Very smart

I'm amazed how well it worked. It took me few minutes to fall asleep and I woke up 5-10 seconds before chime. I'm now super energetic and well rested. It's weird. I'm usually super gloomy and my naps rarely give me such a power boost. Usually I nod of for around 2 hours and feel super confused when I get up. After I get earbuds with more life time or some wired ones I will try whole night one.

The "ding" at the end should be very gentle -- make sure you're keeping the volume LOW! 20-40% max. Just enough to hear the pulsating, and no louder.

Jody Hatton's Videos , it's me again. Why does it have to be super low? I like white noise, it's not the same but it will do. Can you do both? Beats under white noise? Just throwing that out there.
Side note: my best friend just broke up with me and my kitten died in my arms earlier today, so it could just be the grief talking.

I took to long to get sleep the naps. So when finally I fall sleep the time is almost over!

That saved me!! I feel reaaaaally bad stressed since a while, because i live very close to the ttrain station and since a month they are working so loud every day and sometimes 8n the night too... So not a singel night i can sleep more than 6 houers because of the heavy traffic trains in the night and the whole day it's so noisy, i can't even take a rest. None of the "normal meditations" works, even if i put my headphones to very loud... This one worked, and i could sleep at least 20min in peace 🥰
Edit: Sorry for my bad englsih 😅

This morning, I woke up too early--after going to bed too late! Argh! Thankfully, I had just enough time before getting up for work to give this a try--and it was great! My mind meandered and, when I did check in with my body, it was a pleasant, slightly buzzed sensation. Rather than sleep, it feels more like deep meditation or trance; which works better for me, because instead of 'nap hangover' from waking at an awkward point in a sleep cycle, I simply felt relaxed and in a positive mood. Well done! This is going on my list of favourites. Thanks, Jody!

Could you make an hour power nap video
WITH the bell, taking a breath and stretch and taking over the world with the traffic jam music. Great way to be awakened. I love it! Very effective!

    • @enjoyordie
      @enjoyordie Год назад +1

1 hour is not a good idea because you are more likely to get awaken during deep sleep. As a result, you will feel groggy instead of refreshed. You could shoot for 90 min instead.

Wow! That was Amazing! Amazing enough for me to take the time to comment. I had too little sleep last night and needed a power nap. I usually do a different meditation for it, but used this one today. It worked as intended! I went right to sleep and then kind of started to wake up just a couple minutes before the bell, did the frequency change then? Then the bell went off and woke me, but didn't feel obnoxious as others commented. It was great for me. I also didn't mind your comment at the end. Thanks so much for sharing this. I will use it again and again!
