Several things here have been missed. No mention of Lisa Dunn, the owner of the airline after sold by TEM. Lisa Dunn sold the airline to Airsale. There was also an operation based in Saipan, with flights to China. Andrew Levy was also previously the CFO of United Airlines.
Thanks Richard, I've got a script in progress on them though it kinda stalled due to what was happening over there and not wanting to get too political. I might have to dust it off and carry on with it :)
Good catch! It's a bit of an odd one, C-GGWV had been with Xtra from 2015 until 2020 however Nolinor changed their livery to the similar scheme in early 2004 while Xtra didn't change theirs until late 2008, it's probably just one of those coincidences where to airlines end up with similar schemes.
Wow. What an incestuous tangled spider web of international interconnectedness. If you’re ever bored, you should Make a super cut of all the related stories
Thanks for the suggestion Gordon, I think that might finish me off having to look at XL again ;) Still, I do have to cover their French and German airlines ;)

I’ve been fortunate to fly on Direct Air when they were in business. If I recall correctly, Xtra Airways operated at least one time
Cool, yes Xtra operated a few routes for them before cancelling the contract. Vision Airlines were the other primary carrier for Direct Air.
Never heard of that airline Phil, but what a great story and video. Thanks!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

By any chance, did one of the -400s go to Nolinor at any point? Or is it just a coincidence that the blue and gold looks very similar to their livery?
