agreed, tho lots of comments keep mentioning how pretty she is (which is true, she's absolutely gorgeous), however, that shouldn't excuse her for her rude mannerism. The concept was not being able to speak korean, not do your best impression of an American. The "jelly worm" thing also bothered me too! Like we have those in America lol
Lots of people saying this isn't normal in general probably were pretty introverted. People are loud and playful like this all the time in the US. Getting offended because some1 doesn't like a food just because they are a foreigner is silly. Lots of people go from Asian countries to America and say this or that about 'American' food too. So do other Americans about other states and regions foods. Its no big deal. Honestly felt that this guy was too boring for this video.
She's sharp. You can tell she's very smart. She has a very pointed sense of humor. She would intimidate a lot of young guys in English or Korean really.

@@Strawberry-zb9mz young edgy teen rudeness that is somehow acceptable for Americans. For much of the rest of the world this would be considered rude even for 18 year olds
@@KLucero22 Really? You gonna call this rude? I mean it kinda was but in the end at least she isn't like most Americans cussing and being fake. I admit I would have been stunned by her at first but sometimes you gotta see where people are coming from and match their energy if you can't do a simple thing like this you are not gonna get far in life. It is not like she was overly rude because it could've been genuine rudeness in which in this case it was not. But that's just me I can get along with everybody because I stick with people and see who they are. Whether they are shy, outgoing, funny, sarcastic, sweet, I can match their energy and get along just fine with them.
@@daniellaNicole0 “sometimes you gotta see where people are coming from and match their energy” You can easily flip this around and ask why she didn’t do the same? She’s in Korea, not the US. So why didn’t she see where he was coming from and match his energy? For clarification, I’m a naturalized US citizen. I wasn’t born in the US, but I went through the K-12 and undergraduate university in the US. I have met plenty of Americans that act like her, and it wouldn’t bother me. But I grew up in a multicultural household. And I have lived and traveled to many other countries. And often, when visiting other countries Americans are often perceived as being rude, self-centered, and self important. Is this true of all Americans? No, of course not. But the stereotype persists because enough Americans are completely tone deaf to cultural norms outside of the US. What Americans consider acceptable behavior does NOT always fly outside of America. She is not in America, and so yes, her behavior would be considered rude by the standards of many Asian countries.
Some people mad at her for seeming rude but he did say he likes someone with a strong impact and fierce personality but also humourous. He got exactly what he wanted lmao
Everyone is saying she is rude she just seems very energetic, playful, and maybe lacking in discretion. She treated him like a friend though and seems like she is fun to hangout with.
She acts like someone who hasn’t been in Korea long lol, her actions can be perceived as rude bc of cultural differences. Luckily I think the guy understood that she wasn’t being rude intentionally But as a fellow American I felt she was rude 🤷♀️ idk how I would’ve reacted When he asked her age and said 20 he could have meant 18. Since 20 in Korea is 18 internationally I like her style though. She’s pretty
i can see how it can be perceived as rude but idk, i don’t really see it. i mean, i live in america and all but i’m asian myself (a native too at that). to americans, i feel like she would come off as outgoing, while the asians might see her as charismatic (at least that’s what my grandma always said)
Remember this context isn't general public and there are goals(blind date) at play that will change social dynamics. The most rude thing she did was what she was told to do, lie about speaking Korean. I could see the bait-and-switch playfulness as offensive as the mental lead on can trip you up, but I feel nothing in it. The most he reacts is in the case where she asks if he wants to eat just to say she doesn't. (Seems he's more jarred into confusion rather than offense.) Her energetic personality really makes her dominate the situation and she's very expressive. I can see that making a Korean uncomfortable, but rude? I have seen plenty of playful asian teenage girls though, it's not like that has to cross social boundaries. In this context, it's even entirely plausible to read it as flirtatious, and that's acceptable...It's a date after all.The other thing is I don't live in Korea and am not a Korean. IMO not only did he understand she wasn't being intentionally rude (context/goals play towards this strongly), the lack of suppression cues present in body posturing implies he in general didn't feel as if she was being rude. The only cases being the few times where he actually moves back or forward, in the "Lets go eat" case, it seems to be more shocking than rude to him. I don't disagree entirely, I'd assume she'd be jarring for most cultures like this. Her not being exactly helpful on correcting his mistakes was a mutual joke, you could see them both reacting to the situation. I think if he presented more upsetness, she could have adjusted, but she was interacting with him, not the generic idealism in public and adjusted to his responses. Again playing towards your side, he could be reacting better simply because his focus is on his english skills/video, his mutual part in the joking of his confusion could have been an uncomfortable play off. I expect the goal in Asian culture is to not upset or offend anyone. In that case, I agree with you. I still think she's entirely capable of reading the room and probably acts differently when walking down the street or with no-association strangers. I still think he wasn't just holding back, but in general wasn't as offended as this case is being made out to seem. (Notice his baseline posture/expression and compare his reactions to her forceful nature.) I could be completely wrong, but I don't think it's right to judge her at all with the information we have as Americans with a cut up video. Unless you do live in Korea, but still, I don't think there was anything significant to make legitimate criticism. We should adapt when it's called out by the offended party, not get offended for them. I have half-the-mind that many cultured westerners are hyper-sensitive to rudeness, such that we read it into anything we can, like a paranoia, also a sort of racial guilt virtue signalling thing. Again, I can see how some of that can be interpreted as rudeness, but context, and most of all their actual dynamics just make it seem impossible to ascertain. After all humans have to go situation by situation, you can't just know everything about someone from one event. Meh, after reasoning through it all, I do agree with you. I'm likely really downplaying how much her behaviour would stand out, because to me it's nothing strange. But I think it would be a lot more constructive if a Korean made your comment with his perception so we could then adapt properly instead of wonder about it.
@@GRAYgauss I'm Australian, she was plain freaking rude, loud and obnoxious. No "paranoia" or "a sort of racial guilt virtue signalling thing" going on at all. I guess you weren't raised right.

hi! I would like to share something: we were all born into sin, separated from God. we have all broken at least one of the 10 commandments (you shall not steal, you shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, honour your father and mother etc.). and because of our sin, the consequences are death here on earth and eternal punishment in hell. we will all be judged by God after we die, and if we die in our sins without Christ, we will feel all His wrath (and eternal punishment in hell as mentioned before). but because of God's love for us, He became a Man in the person of Jesus, the Son. He lived perfectly, took all our sins upon Himself and died on the cross, having all of God's wrath poured out on Him, the wrath that we deserve. then after 3 days of being buried, Jesus rose to life again! meaning that His sacrifice on the cross was the perfect sacrifice and enough to pay for our sins. now if you repent (which means to be truly sorry for your sins and to turn away from them), and put your faith (complete trust) in Jesus, you can be saved and have everlasting life!

he was so kind and respectful. why is she acting like that
"It was a little hard to act since i lived in korea for a long time and he was really nervous so i tried to make it a little fun i warned him before and he said thats okay wasn't trying to be rude at all ㅠㅠㅠ" Literally written by her after someone searched her Instagram just to tell her she acted rude.
People need to chill a little and think before commenting without knowing anything, remember this is a video that takes a long time to do and edit. You don't know what happens before, during and after filming. Stop acting like yall know everything
Thank you! I feel like people are trying to really drag her down cause it's easier but she was likely just playing around for the show
Yk... jelly..😅🥲 that's why there's stupids scolding on her now

common sense like maybe don’t hate on other cultures food or be sarcastic to someone who obviously doesn’t know english?? she’s very pretty but this definitely rubbed me the wrong way. like the jelly worm thing?? that is literally in america too and she was acting like it was fucking alien shit or something. anyway, cool concept but I wish the girl wasn’t trying so hard to be this rude, loud, sarcastic character.
agreed, tho lots of comments keep mentioning how pretty she is (which is true, she's absolutely gorgeous), however, that shouldn't excuse her for her rude mannerism. The concept was not being able to speak korean, not do your best impression of an American. The "jelly worm" thing also bothered me too! Like we have those in America lol
@@jordandaye3593 yes!! you are absolutely right.
Exactly
Fr…she probably wanted that funny sarcastic character for the vid and it came off a lil rude 😭😭
The fear in his eyes is valid
She's sharp. You can tell she's very smart. She has a very pointed sense of humor. She would intimidate a lot of young guys in English or Korean really.

She was acting like an uneducated child the entire time, being extremely over the top and cringe and obnoxious and jarringly loud. When she screams 그거 건셉 이죠?!
@@daniellaNicole0 “sometimes you gotta see where people are coming from and match their energy”
You can easily flip this around and ask why she didn’t do the same? She is not in America, and so yes, her behavior would be considered rude by the standards of many Asian countries.
he looks so scared😭
Some people mad at her for seeming rude but he did say he likes someone with a strong impact and fierce personality but also humourous. He got exactly what he wanted lmao

You can be fierce, strong and sassy while also being nice. She was none of those.
@@zkart8038 hope you understood the sarcasm there
Everyone is saying she is rude she just seems very energetic, playful, and maybe lacking in discretion. She treated him like a friend though and seems like she is fun to hangout with.
Aint no way this many of you would actually start CRYING while having a simple interaction with this woman. Lmao WHAT 😂
She acts like someone who hasn’t been in Korea long lol, her actions can be perceived as rude bc of cultural differences. Luckily I think the guy understood that she wasn’t being rude intentionally
But as a fellow American I felt she was rude 🤷♀️ idk how I would’ve reacted
When he asked her age and said 20 he could have meant 18. Since 20 in Korea is 18 internationally
I like her style though. She’s pretty
I don't think she was rude tbh. I think she was just trying to be herself or at least be nice and out going
i can see how it can be perceived as rude but idk, i don’t really see it. i mean, i live in america and all but i’m asian myself (a native too at that). to americans, i feel like she would come off as outgoing, while the asians might see her as charismatic (at least that’s what my grandma always said)
Remember this context isn't general public and there are goals(blind date) at play that will change social dynamics.
(Notice his baseline posture/expression and compare his reactions to her forceful nature.)
I could be completely wrong, but I don't think it's right to judge her at all with the information we have as Americans with a cut up video.
I guess you weren't raised right.

hi! I would like to share something:
we were all born into sin, separated from God. we have all broken at least one of the 10 commandments (you shall not steal, you shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, honour your father and mother etc.). and because of our sin, the consequences are death here on earth and eternal punishment in hell. we will all be judged by God after we die, and if we die in our sins without Christ, we will feel all His wrath (and eternal punishment in hell as mentioned before).
but because of God's love for us, He became a Man in the person of Jesus, the Son.
She doesn't' deserve that guy.. pure gentleman. i'm crying 😢😢
