Read reviews and purchased one. Not that I ever had a problem making binding. Well, maybe this would work a bit better with a light iron as I had to pull a bit harder than I think I should. Feel it stretches the fabric a bit. Probably will not use again. Also, thought since it's silicone it would not require the work on the left side. My vote on this is a 3 out of 10.
Thank you for telling us about this tool. I just ordered one, I've been on the fence about it since I first heard about it. You convinced (enabled) me to take the plunge! 😄
I had seen this product in an online shop, but I am from Canada and ordering it would have been exorbitant - could not find it here, but I "went with the idea" and used 2 large safety pins on my ironing board and made it would work, it was a little fussy at first and I was mindful of taking up my iron a few times, but it did save a lot of time versus doing it all "by hand". I enjoyed your review, and appreciate all your content, thank you.
What a great idea! Thank you so much for sharing! This is a great work-around for anyone who can't get this product. Also, thank you for your kind words about my video. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Now that's interesting. I haven't seen this one. Now that the craft shows are starting up again I'll have to look out for it and check it out. I never know what's out there these days and it's always fun to see what is available. Thanks for this interesting review Kris.
Hi Kris. This is a neat tool. I use my steam press as I find it pretty quick but this might be worth looking into at some point as it would save me dragging it out of storage. I love seeing notion reviews as there are so many great products out there that we don't know about.
Pretty cool little notion. I might think about getting this. I just finished pressing a binding yesterday and I was thinking about what a pain that process is.
Right? It is a pain and before this, I would get edged that weren't quite even in some spots. This helped a lot. Thanks for watching! Let me know what you think if you get one.
@@SewtheDistance Based on your video, I decided to order this. After having used it a couple of times, I can say that I love it! It makes the process of preparing the binding so much easier and more accurate. This tool is not inexpensive, but definitely worth it for me. From time to time, I like to add specialty tools to my sewing room, and this one is a winner.
This is wonderful; but, I will have to make something myself to do this with. I wonder how long it will take a quilt shop in my area of the country to get these in stock? I'm still waiting for someone to stock Add a Quarter rulers, bicycle clips, French Curve rulers, and fork pins. Thank you for this information and video.
Oh no! I think it has been out for a few years (not 100% sure), so maybe they can get it sooner than normal. My local quilt shop has them and the owner said you can buy them from her. Her shop is called "Our Generations' Quilt Shop" and it is in Montoursville, PA.
Pretty much, except it doesn't get twisted and you don't have to feed it through the weird curved opening. Also, it is one tool for all sizes! LOL! It's Bias Maker 2.0. 😀
@leonardsfriend Sure! It is a Beaunatural iron. I decided a few years ago that I wasn't buying any more expensive irons. They always either died or didn't work right. Now I buy cheap irons. LOL! I got it from Amazon. I love it! I think it was $20 when I bought it.
Great question! The iron is used in this video is one like this one: amzn.to/4648Xxn I don't think the make the exact model anymore, but this company makes great inexpensive irons. I hope this helps!
I do! A few years ago, I stopped buying expensive irons because they just didn't work. I found this one on Amazon for something like $20 and scooped it up. I love it! That said, I do have my eye on the Panasonic Cordless iron. Still, this is a great iron and has served me well.
I had to investigate this one! LOL! I had an Amazon link on here, but it looks like they aren't associated with Amazon anymore! Here's a link from MSQC. www.missouriquiltco.com/products/binding-eaze
I have an Oliso, too! I don't like it though. I know--I am weird. It "spits" on my projects this black gunk, even though I followed all the instruction with water and cleaning. t has ruined a few projects. I contacted the company and they did replace it, but I haven't even opened the new one yet. Not worth the risk. Can't you disable it with a switch on the back? I think it is pretty easy to go between using the feet and not using the feet, or at least it used to be.
@@SewtheDistance I LOVE my Oliso--sorry you have had issues. I started to also after a couple of years, then watched Karen on "Just Get It Done Quilts" episode on Spitting Irons. Now I use filtered water from my Brita pitcher & ALWAYS empty it at the end of the day. YES--you have to disable the feet with the switch on the back. Thanks for your review--I saw this product & wondered how it worked.
I did see Karen's video and I have tried it after cleaning it, but nothing seemed to work. I do have.say that the company was wonderful and after a lot of trouble-shooting, sent me.a new iron, but i am so nervous to try it! LOL! I have given up on expensive irons and now I just buy cheap ones from Amazon. Maybe I should give it another try though. You have inspired me! Thank you!
What a great review Kris!!!🎉
They should sponsor you!

Lol! I was just using mine yesterday! It really is an amazing tool! Happy to enable you! 😂
OMG!!!!!!! I must have this. Unlike you I do not like the binding part of quilting. :-). Thank you so much for sharing this awesome notion,
April
This is a must-have gadget! I am so gad I took a chance on it! Thank you for watching!
Omg. I love it. Thank you for sharing just bought one.
You are so welcome! Glad you like it!
Thank you for reviewing this. I just saw it for the first time, being used by Natalia Bonner in a short, and had to look it up! 🌷
My pleasure! Glad it was helpful! It is a great product!

I hope you like it as much as I do! It makes a tricky job easy in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
Hi Kris, I saw someone on RUclips uses that. Think it was Tiffany. Seems like a great tool…I love different notions. 🥰🇦🇺
I didn't see that video! I will have to check it out. Thanks for the tip!
Yes, very nice video! I just found this and am thrilled with the positive review.🥰🖤🖤🖤

I love mine great investment. Even when not in use I love resting my iron on it as added protection for my plastic table
That's a great idea! I may do that when I am at my sewing machine! Thank you for the tip!
Now that's cool!
Isn't it? It is my new favorite gadget!
I love mine.
It's a great notion! ❤️
Awesome, something like a giant bias tape maker.
Pretty much, except it doesn't get twisted and you don't have to feed it through the weird curved opening. Also, it is one tool for all sizes! LOL! It's Bias Maker 2.0. 😀
It looks like an easy way to make binding! How much did it cost?
It bought it for $29.99, so it is a little pricey, but definitely worth it! I use it all the time.
That's pretty awsome! By the way,I bought that iron also, I love ❤️ it!
Yay! So happy you love the iron! Thanks for watching! Miss you!

I understand! It is a bit pricey.

Thanks for watching! I don’t have a site. Please purchase from your local quilt shop. We need to keep them in business. Have an amazing day! ❤️
Where can I buy this in the UK?
I have no idea. Maybe ask at your local quilt shop? I know a few people from Canada who have them. What about Amazon?
Sadly won't work with an Oliso unless you disengage the auto feet function.
