LOVE IT!!!!! I never heard of Edgar Wright or Ansel Elgor but after watching Baby Driver (over and over!!) I am a huge fan! Baby Driver is a brilliant piece of movie making!
Hot Fuzz is my favorite movie of all time and was also directed by Wright. Scott Pilgrim, Shaun of the Dead, all good! He also wrote most of the original Ant-Man script (the scene where Peña is describing connections but everyone uses his voice especially)
This movie is great. Edgar’s three best movies are Scott Pilgrim vs the World Shaun of the Dead Hot Fuzz. The Worlds End is a great movie too but the weakest of Edgar’s Cornetto Trilogy.
Noel's too old to be a kid with momma issues being exploited for his driving skills. But I kinda agree, having the mighty boosh, Nick Frost, and Michael Smiley would've made for a helluva film.
Yeah, according to something I read he was really unhappy with the idea of copying his own work, but he also thought that just the music video was incomplete and that he could have done more if he had the budget.
Yeah, he said he'd wanted to make a film about a kid doing getaway driving for criminals so with some polishing he made this already great scene and put it into the movie as a callback to his past self.
Ansel Elgort blew this entire scene. Noel Fielding really captures that energy a movie like this so desperately needed. One feels like a dude so comfortable in his own skin, other is a frat meathead.
I was dieing of laughter when they did this in Baby Driver at the theater that after the show almost got in a fight with a guy over laughing, show him the original with Noel Fielding and we both laughed it off. Add a new friend that day.
