Lived with my parents, had only my baby emergency fund, all my money went into my loans. Then the Pandemic hit and my student loans were in forebearance. I did move out and worked less hours but continued to have a high saving rate. Once I hit that balance amount, I just coasted until the repayments started. • @aboutwhat1930
      @aboutwhat1930 Год назад

      @@hunterbarry5754 On many facets, yes, something DOES need to change. Healthcare can be done far far better and far far cheaper.
      1) Change insurance from the individual provider to the facility the patient visits. No more out-of-network doctors in an in-network hospital. No more mystery consults etc adding to bills and making the billing process a nightmare for the patients to navigate. Much more would also need to be done there.
      2) Limit the margin percentages a hospital or other facility can make on pretty much everything. Cap not-for-profit executive pay to a multiple of their employees' & contractors' median pay. Some will argue about the importance of the position, but I'd argue that the hospitals that need executives paid many millions each year are oversized. That's a result of consolidation, with regional hospitals basically becoming monopolistic chains that own multiple hospitals, out-patient facilities, clinics, and most individual offices.
      3) All medical R&D partially paid for by government grant should be owned by and licensed from the government. Any and all domestic pharma companies can then produce the drug by paying a fixed licensing fee (say $10K) and agreeing to pay the royalty (a fixed percentage of their sales revenue from that drug, at least stateside). Allow for a race-to-efficiency by opening up many more generic options. I'd also say that the grant-receiver/inventors should receive a limited cut of the royalties or exclusive rights to sell/license the drug overseas during their patent period.
      4) Biden's drug negotiation plan is very important. No way insulin costs 10x today what it did 10 years ago. The cost shouldn't have done more than followed inflation and in fact should be less (inflation-adjusted) that ever before. Far more should be done on that front with the drugs etc that have already been invented.

It was a historically unprecedented opportunity that so many failed to use to their advantage. Dave he is not under paid right out of college. Employers don’t give a damn about college degrees for entry level prospective employees with NO EXPERIENCE! He doesn’t have a medical license (ex: RN ect) and don’t deserve 80k right out of college Dave! You are uneducated about the workforce. Most of these cheap corporations don’t even want to pay experienced employees with a degree what they deserve. Bachelors degrees is not the automated ticket for getting high salaries right out of college 🙃
    The guy who compared his father with more than 2 decades of experience & I’m sure a Master’s degree (professor) is delusional to compare this rookie college graduate with. Like comparing apples & oranges. I don’t understand why this guy called in the first place, his expensive car cost more than what he owes on his college loan. And I’m sure he & fiancé will have an expensive wedding with outstanding college debt, make this make sense! Smh 🤦🏽‍♀️

His family was living on $4.5k per month which included mortgages and living expenses, so by buying that car he was on deficit by $900 ...
