We 6 months left until F40s 900-919 , coaches 3800-3865, and cabcars 4000-4026 are going to retire but you don't know if Caltrain can need them again ifor the San Jose to Gilroy run because The EMUs will only run from SF to Taimen but they will keep locomotives 920-928 and its Bombardier sets and it may need more to not cause confusion and delay from San Jose to gilroy
@@Caltrain-922 hmm that's strange. Petaluma doesn't have a Smart yard but ik Santa Rosa does, unless you mean Schellville or something. Cause I wanna make sure I see the Gallery equipment hopefully next week or weekend
Hey, we met at College Park yesterday, and you asked me about which video camera you should buy. I talked with my friend who knows more about good video cameras, and he said he uses a Sony FX30, although for a beginner like yourself, he would recommend a Sony AX43 or 53, whichever is cheaper. Do not buy anything that does not have 4K.
Wow, 2 locomotives and 19 passenger cars
Im gonna miss these gallery cars and f40s. I grew up being a huge fan of them and I'm gonna miss their reliability skills
Same here

That could be the case but we don’t know yet
Impeccable skills!
Thanks!!
Wow that's cool@@Caltrain-922
@@LuisUrbieta thank you!!!
I was living in Burlingame back when these replaced the Espee's old Pullman gallery cars. I'm a bit embarrassed to realize I've gotten this old! 😂😂❤
I wish I saw the old gallery cars in action. Especially the k5la horns too.
The last car might be 3819.
Still a great video
Thank you!!
Marvelous!
Thank you!!

Marvelous!!!! What a long Caltrain Nippon Sharyo cars!!! Is time to say Good-bye?
Thanks and maybe it’s time to say good bye
You're welcome!!
Wow it is so sad that people would graffiti these wonderful carts the interior is very nice to have you been on a Caltrain 2:47
Yeah, it’s sad
Vandalism these days are too powerful
increible.
Thank you!!
I’m extremely sad to see these go let’s just hope they get sold instead of being scrapped
It is sad and hopefully they get sold.
I recently heard that Via Rail is planning on rebuilding their F40s again because they couldn’t find any replacement long distance locomotives
@@christiandambrosio8363 I never heard that before, that’s pretty cool
@@Caltrain-922Caltrain could sell some of their F40’s to VIA rail or they could refurbish a few of these to the F40s that have been renovated
Wonder what they'll do with em
I am pretty sure they are going to put them near the smart’s yard in Petaluma, CA for storage till they sell them or scrap them. That’s what I heard.

@@Caltrain-922yo do you know when the move is?
I am not sure about that part
That’s what I heard from a Caltrain worker.
901 will be the first loco to leave Caltrain ownership?
Rip
Caltrain is retiring all their Nippon Cars?
They might keep some for the Tamien-Gilroy section. Otherwise yes, they will be sold or scraped.
I was told by Caltrain on Facebook that they don’t own the rails for the Tamien-Gilroy section. Union Pacific does so that makes a lot of sense.
@@kirkzevola5004 yeah, UP owns that section and didn’t want the rails to be electrified so Caltrain has to keep some diesels and cars.
Can’t say I blame them for not wanting to electrify that portion as it costs a lot to install and maintain.
@@kirkzevola5004 yeah, plus it will take a few years just to install the electrical systems too.

Oh okay, I’ll check those cameras out and thanks for the recommendations
@@Caltrain-922No problem, and nice video.
@@peninsula_sub Thank you!!
@@peninsula_sub I saw this camera when I was looking at the other ones. The Sony ax100 or the ax700. What’s your opinion on those types of cameras.
I think this is from the 919 crash in 2022
Maybe some of the cars are from the 919 crash.
Hard to see Caltrain and funeral train in the same sentence
Yeah, the real funeral train is when they have all the f40’s in a consist
Oops little late to the party I see :)
