I tipped a Volvo off road truck. It’s not uncommon for Doubles (lead or pup) to tip over Michigan. Mostly it the lead and takes the truck (cab) with it. Cat the excavator or to the scene of the crime. Dig dirt out of box, tip back over on to wheels. Replace mirror on truck, change of pants, go back to work.
Thankfully nobody was hurt! 🙏 I’m willing to bet that truck is back to work within a few days, to a week! Big band-aid and baling wire, and back on the job! Hopefully you guys will get some rain, soon? Then you’ll have to worry about mudslides, with all of the vegetation so dried up! Thanks for sharing the incident, Greg 👍
Guess this was not OSHIA approved 😊, and the Environmental Protection Agency wasn’t there too😊. Glad everyone was okay. I can’t imagine the frame and suspension are as good as it was! Thanks for sharing your excitement in the mountain in Dauin. It could have been much worse.😊
Wow that was wild! I'm glad everyone was safe. Question, was this truck delivering to the new construction next door to you, or the other house in the background? I missed that part of the story.
I think those guys did a great job! Try not be so negative Greg, nobody likes a crowd watching and commenting and sniggering when they’re struggling with a very real and dangerous situation.
@@buildingthephilippinesmaybe have an objective listen to yourself Greg. And you might detect a bit of negativity. I wouldn’t say it for no reason. I just felt those guys were doing a great job and felt that you thought you knew better but they wouldn’t listen to you. Anyway it’s all good, keep up the content I do enjoy watching you guys.
About those rains , just left GenSan and Tupi in Mindanao, it has sprinkled a couple of times there, on my way home to fly to Canada to the Gen San Airport , i saw devastation caused by grass fires next and nearby to airport, hectares of burned fields , yes it has been a dry summer, blame El Nino!
there is a phrase that is on the tip of my tongue and i just cant remember it ....something with a monkey and a football...hmmm nice to see sandy supervising the operation . glad nobody got hurt
G&W, good look at life in the Philippines. Is that road part of your subdivision? Will it be concreted any time? I thought you were on a paved road, or that it was one of your requirements to be on one. And does it get worse during the rainy season?
We are concrete to our subdivision. All the truck traffic has really torn up the road. Dust dirt everywhere as its about 4 inches thick. Hopefully heavy rain will wash it away to evpose the gravel again. No plans for concrete.
Yeah, it’s the norm here. It’s a poor country with lots of working age men. If one gets injured, there’s 2 more to take his place. It’s kind of sad, I’ve seen it with my own in-laws.
Completely normal here! Others have attempted to pass out free boots, helmets, ear plugs, vests and so forth, but the Filipinos do things their way! That's just life here...
You should have gone and told him that it looks like you're going to tip instead of trying to video someone seriously hurting himself, possibly even killing himself. Would have been sad if he couldn't have gone home to his family
Always trying to find a negative in the story. From seeing him back in and the actual flip was maybe one minute. I'm 40 meters away behind a concrete wall. What am I going to do wave him down from under a kubo. Wouldn't the driver be looking in his side view mirror?
Things can happen faster than you think it will, and often does, always nice to be a Quarteback , yes hindsight is always 20/20, some people claim to be able to foretell the future, like Apollo Quiboloy, does he know where the NBI will look next?
Some Filipino workers don’t follow directions when they’re working for other Filipinos. Even if Greg had time to get over to them (he didn’t) and tell them that the truck was going to tip, what are the chances that they were going to listen to him? My girlfriend’s father, who is Filipino, has fired numerous workers for not following directions and/or working in an unsafe manor. Just imagine Greg, a foreigner in shorts and flip flops, running over to tell these guys how to do their jobs. If they’re polite they’re just going to ignore him. Heck they were ignoring him when he was asking about the driver, fuel, and battery. I’m pretty sure that most of them understood what he was asking.
I don’t think the truck driver would’ve understood Greg’s warning they wouldn’t even respond to his questions.
Of course not, wave at him at 40 meters away, under a kubo, when driver should be looking at his side mirrors.

That's exactly what they did.
On the scene with Greg… Philippines Action News(PAN TV😊) 👍🏻👍🏻 Never a slow news day.
Always something going on. Thanks for watching.

You bet Jerry, you forget the duck tape. Lol.

Put some duck tape on the mirror and get back to work.
No Injuries!!! ANd it looked like there could have been some during the recovery. Quite a sight
Another world over here.
Just another day in the Philippines LOL
This is true, thanks for watching.

Hi Kevin, they were delivering to the build right next to us. Load of backfill. Hope all is well.
I think those guys did a great job! Try not be so negative Greg, nobody likes a crowd watching and commenting and sniggering when they’re struggling with a very real and dangerous situation.
Who was listening to me, not negative at all. How mamy times did I say on video they did a good job, maybe you fast forwarded through those parts.

@shanecahill2618 thanks for setting me straight.
Sorry man I didn’t mean it that way.
Appreciate you Greg and all your content
@shanecahill2618 all good Shane, be well.
"Don't mention this to the boss". maybe he won't notice. 😂😂😂
Shhhhhh.

Yes, much drier this year as compared to the past two, I have experienced. Much hotter as well.
19 Filipino + one foreigner+ Sandy, not sure there is a translation of roadworthy 😂
there is a phrase that is on the tip of my tongue and i just cant remember it ....something with a monkey and a football...hmmm nice to see sandy supervising the operation . glad nobody got hurt
Sandy was protecting me. Glad no injuries.
Looks like the highway department in the US. Group standing around and 1 or 2 working.
Global issue, I'm sure. Do as little as possible and get as much money for it as possible.
I injoy watching your show ❤😊. From California. We are going to dumaguete this june
Very nice, travel safe.
I was going to ask about Sandy and lo and behold about half way through there she is? How is she doing? Do you guys still feed and take care of her?
We feed her every day. She hangs out in front of the property and barks if any stranger comes near our gate.
Probably not their first rodeo
Unfortunately that is probably true.
LOL 19 union guys. 😆
20 if you count me. Thanks for watching.
I don’t think this is the first time they had to do this. They have it under control.
100%, they had it upright in about 20 minutes.

@@buildingthephilippines ahh, it’s a gravel road. Makes sense. Praying for rain!
It's a mess right now. Hard to drive on it. Thanks for watching.
Flip flops and sandals on a construction site….blows my mind!
Usually barefoot. Different world over here.

"Down and to the left" down and to the left
Lol
WHATS THE WATER SITUATION..?
No change, many barangays only have water a few hours a day. We need rain.
Nice shirt, Wilma. That's a nice sized rock in front of the turned over dump truck. Plenty of excitement in Dauin ...lol
We had a few shirts made up for fun. Definitely a bit of action in otherwise sleepy Dauin.
Workplace health and safety and EPA would be having a nightmare about this in Australia.
Lol, not here. Rules/laws seldom followed. I heard 80% of vehicles have no insurance or even registered.
Oh boy, good thing everybody was ok and the truck didn’t take out a wall either.
Driver error for sure.
thanks for the great opening music, gets my pulse thumping
We aim to help whenever we can. Thanks for commenting.
Very exciting video glad no one was hurt
A little excitement in our day. No injuries, so that's good.

You can NEVER tell a Filipino how to drive (even if your correct) and WE Expats know that 😮😅

I'm a CDL driver and have lost some friends at work. So when I see something like this, it hits home

Very exciting video full of suspense 😅 I was gettin nervous and praying 😅 thank God everyone and trucks were ok 🙏
All good, just an unfortunate accident.
