@@default78643 I think Terry may have been right with her speaking five languages: Italian, French, German, Spain (Spanish mother apparently), English (with Sandra being the first person to give the Swiss points in English, in 1994).
Very easy to tell who was paying attention to how to pronounce Italian words decently and who wasn't (Portugal gets a thumbs-up, but man does Ireland not).
I do love the whole concept behind this, I'm surprised it hasn't been done again.
Amazing, the introductions for the songs alone took 40 minutes. Eurovision 1991 was a trainwreck of the most magical kind.
setheurovision94 And very short!
Still better than 1983 😂
At least it's entertaining though!
Yeah! It's always a trainwreck of the most magical kind if it's hosted in Italy.
no wonder it overran , plus the drama involving France and Sweden

Love how WatchMojo thought this was actually Carola's entry xD
This just screams 1991 graphic design
I’ve been to Italy recently. Some of their design standards *really* haven’t changed.
I love how Terry says the Swiss song was sung in French, when it is in fact in Italian.
Adding to the insult, he "translates" the song from the Italian title to French.
And the singer speaks German
And despite making fun of Toto Cutugno all night, Terry pronounces the Turkish bloke as "Kan", whereas Toto pronounces it correctly as "Jan".

Given how Terry destroys Anders Frandsen (RIP both), he does an OK job on Nessun Dorma I thought!
There's all the artists performing big Italian songs
Then there's shameless self promotion from Peppino di Capri
27:40 a Finnish girl singing in Neapolitan! Dear Kaija, you are definetely the worst nightmare of Lega Nord!

It was also cool of Israel to go completely a cappella. Their pronunciation isn't so bad, either!
Sophia Vossou was the best together Dulce, Elena Patroclou and Sandra Simò
Emanuele Fabbri Well, Sandra Simó *does* speak Italian...
Best one was Amina. She gets the facial expression correct too.
1991
Can someone write the name of every song in the postcards? Thank you.

Thank you
Did any of the artists record their Italian snippets as a full song?
I believe Sergio Dalma did.
Peppino di Capri did record it
Carole recorded a Swedish cover of her song, "Non voglio mica la luna" in 1984, calling it "Amore."
@@jams4859, but in spanish
These two were great Italian winners, Gigliola Cinquetti and Toto Cutugno. The 'winning song' of 2021 was utter rubbish.
