    Love my Cold Water reels, been running one of them for 7 seasons now (the first two were in a kayak where they were constantly wet but the last 5 in my boat); they're the best reel for the money IMO. How do you guys like those Chamberlain releases?

    • @PineStateHunter
      @PineStateHunter  5 месяцев назад

      Out of the four I bought I've only got one that I need to send back due to free spool lever breaking, something inside doesn't allow it to lock in to retrieve. The Chamberlain releases are tricky to set up at first if you don't know what you're doing, but they do the job well.

    You might want to consider a Mack's Double D Dodger when you stack lines, you can set them so they act like planer boards. There's several you tube videos about them. I'm thinking you run them on the deep rods and run the top rods straight back. Let me know your thoughts. I'm running thru your Playlist videos today

      We will have to look into that. Thanks for watching.

      They say if you let out 100 ft of line it planes 18 ft to the side them drop the top line back 50-60 ft and the bottom line should clear the top and drop straight back, but that's just my theory

    How deep would you run dodger/sewn bait for landlocked salmon?

    • @PineStateHunter
      @PineStateHunter  2 года назад +1

      Generally we fish less than 20 feet down. Some times you can catch them 50' to 80' behind the boat (just under the surface). We have also had days when we caught them deep, 40' to 60' down. Thanks for watching.

      @@PineStateHunter that’s even in mid-summer? thanks for replying to all your comments!

    • @PineStateHunter
      @PineStateHunter  2 года назад

      @@ryansilver7633 We don't mess with salmon during the summer but they are probably deeper. Find the bait and the salmon should be there.
