We Americans call this "Railfanning". But we mostly have freights here in Tennessee. Many of them are 3 miles long now. Amtrak is our passenger service, but does not stop in many states.
Americans: "I wish we had efficient, frequent passenger trains like the Europeans do." Europeans: "I wish our trains could move as much freight as they do in America."

Wonderful, thank-you as always! But at 2:30, I assume the train would not have originated from Great Malvern, but Hereford surely? Looking forward to Guildford, lots of really interesting stuff going on there, and I am certain we will all have fun watching it!
@@Tornado922 Not doubting you of course, it just doesn't make much intuitive sense. Hereford is so close to Great Malvern, wouldn't it be easier to start the service there? (Guess not!). Btw, Great Malvern is an interesting station to explore , the Worms are pretty cool, but I cannot imagine that there would enough activity to warrant a video visit. Thanks as always.
I believe the rollout of the 387s may be related to the rollout of 345s in the Heathrow tunnels as they, like the 345s, will be using ETCS which from what I remember the existing 360s and 332s don't have, instead using ATP. The ETCS systems in the Heathrow tunnels haven't yet been authorised for use alongside the existing ATP (which is required for the 360s and 332s) so until that happens neither the 387s nor the 345s will be allowed to Heathrow
@@josephharrison8354 thankfully I live in the west county so I'm in the area the 'castle' hst sets are operating, I've always liked the hst & those castle sets with only 4 mk3's have some nice acceleration.
I love that acceleration on the 800s
and 802s
They are outstanding
@@Tornado922 yeah. Great video
Same
When you can travel again I would love to see London Liverpool St., Clapham junction would be another good one and Willesdon junction
Anyone else think the traction motor sound on the 800 sounds cool? Or is that just me?
They do sound good!
Reading is a great station! Great traffic and the 800s look cool as well! Really enjoyed!
It's a great station to come to at any time of the day

Thanks very much, from what I can remember that service did indeed originate from Great Malvern

Well maybe one day they will get replaced with something more modern
Is there any chance you can do Grove park and Bromley South

Maybe one day
No I hate freight
go to reading west train station if you want freight trains
I'll look into it
I love trains with a flat wheel
I think most people do, although on a passenger train it's not such a good thing
But what is a train with a flat wheel
Great video it's a long video it's not a rush out film is it
Thanks very much, no this isn't a rush hour film. I made this one slightly longer as this was the only station I was doing that day
@@Tornado922 well it's a great vid none the less
Hey just wanted to know it u wanted to meet at taunton station and film at some point
How do you know where these trains are coming from and where they are going? you are super quick to know!
I imagine he checks the timetables and/or noticeboards beforehand, and he probably stands fairly near a noticeboard just in case.
Real time trains
I use a site called RealTimeTrains for all of my information
All kicking off today wasnt it 😂 great video 👍🏻

Can you publish a trainspotting video on my birthday
It is on 11th October
I can't make any promises
