I genuinely love the in-game explanation for a Nuzlocke. Gives a dark and edgy feel to the world without pulling the cult nonsense that so many ROM hacks try. I love your channel, and the roleplay aspects you incorporate into your battles. Keep on keeping on, dude.
The dark tone for this is super nice, it gives an explanation for the Nuzlocke and I never know what’s gonna happen next. Gary being a Pokemon Serial Killer funded by his grandfather, a Pokémon slave trader? What?
Never realized that nuzlockes are basically post-apocalyptic worlds. Great intro! Edit: Great video, not just intro. "There is no more cut PP in Kanto" lol!
Kept checking the time left in the vid thinking "there's no way he's gonna manage this one" and lo and behold that's the way it ended up. Loved it, though, the pain of Gyarados commiting suicide when you'd put so much into grinding it!
To be fair I’m pretty surprised you made it as far as you did, Metronome being the random fun that is it. A great video that I’m sure took quite a while to make 😄
This is actually probably the best incarnation of a nuzlocke i've seen in a while, particularly because of the way you played it. Most nuzlockes wind up with endless grinding for overleveled pokemon, but grinding is too dangerous in this version, so you were continually underleveled instead. You also played recklessly -- switch training during gym battles in a nuzlocke??? but it makes sense because so many metronome attacks are wasted and you've got a good chance of a free switch. I liked this video. actually makes me want to try a nuzlocke again lol
"Even though Florp has learned it, there is no cut PP in Kanto anymore. ...that was not a circumcision joke" All jokes aside, this was an amazing adventure, I loved the lore you built around it and the DP haunted mansion theme really added to it
Given how much modding must've been done, I'm curious to see if, and when, metronome becomes explosion or self destruct. And then I see that it's definitely still in the move pool, minutes later. Oh boy.
I really dig the sinister tones of this episode. Great delivery on the narration! Really really unfortunate what happened in that Giovanni fight. I'd love to give this a try sometime. Maybe 2022 will be a little more forgiving. 😬
highkey one of your best videos so far. Loved the story, the premise (especially knowing how much you love metronome), and how it was done. The PMD music at the end was just the icing on the cake for such an unsettlingly creepy yet goofy video.
This was so insanely good storytelling. I hope it continues the story further in other attempts. Love your dry humor and style. I think you would have won if you used the 'thunder armor' technique though from your other series mimicking Ash.
Also, can we talk about how the background music is JUST a lavender town remix? I love it. So much. The music and the story that explains this nuzlocke and everything. It’s so cool and adds originality to an already fun concept.
I love the spooky "worldbuilding" that explains why Metronome is the only move and why the Nuzlocke is necessary. That plus the background music... so chilling, and so good!
Oof... I didn't really expect success, but it was still brutally fun to watch. I don't know if I'll be able to catch your streams, but I look forward to them and whatever other projects you have. I started streaming myself this year with my own FireRed Normal-type pseudo-Nuzlocke so with regards to your endeavors, I wish you luck.
As always, the single most creative pokemon creator out there gives us a BANGER. That explanation of the nuzlocke rules in-universer is amazing. As always, ETU never fails to entertain.
That was truly and amazingly done video, as always I was rooting for your success. But even though you lost in the end, you made it work out really well with the story you were telling! I really hope to see more like this, story telling wise, I can only imagine how painfully long those battles were.
12:39 RIP Florp you were our hard carry for so long I'm a bit surprised the mod wasn't coded to allow multiple move slots to be metronome. A great run! Stretching it out was a nice idea the extra in-game changes on the ending were really nice
Just watched the intro, haven't gotten to the rest of the video yet, RIP Florp even though I've never met them. I just wanted to say I love the clever idea for why the Pokémon world is forcing a nuzlocke run! It's so clever!
Fun Fact about block: If you defeat the pokemon that used block, you can switch out again. That doesnt work when said pokemon was switched out, but in this case, you couldve been able to save Florp.
Hi F.J.! I just wanted to say great video of course, twist at the end is brilliant haha but truly can't wait for you to get into the live-streaming, timezones be damned, I hit the bell on Twitch and I'm hoping to be there especially if you're nuzlocking!
I love your in-game lore reasons for the setup. You’ve got a great voice for storytelling. Though I will have to ding you using struggle on misty. That’s not metronome.

I'm currently attempting a Metronome only playthrough of Crystal Clear and 3/4 of my moves are self-destruct or explosion.
@@ltntwafflz9043 I already can't bring myself to do a nuzlocke, but damned if I could do it with metronome, given its track record.
Oof that opening made Nuzlockes sound terrifying
Cause they are!🤣
Your story telling makes these videos unique compared to the usual, very entertaining!
I really dig the sinister tones of this episode. Great delivery on the narration! Really really unfortunate what happened in that Giovanni fight. I'd love to give this a try sometime. Maybe 2022 will be a little more forgiving. 😬

R.I.P Florp, you will be missed
Love the storytelling details man, I was fully invested till the end, the effort you put in was apparent and well appreciated:D
Very clever take on the rules of a Nuzlocke! Fantastic video as always FJ!
Me at the begining : wtf?
Me at the end : More of this, please!
Really like the added narrative! The dark narrative really adds to the video
rip florp 😢

Frankly, this was great. Really enjoyed the story and all the silliness.
I love the story your telling, and I love how you do things differently from everyone else on youube doing nuzlockes 😁😁
I love the spooky "worldbuilding" that explains why Metronome is the only move and why the Nuzlocke is necessary. That plus the background music... so chilling, and so good!
this is one of the bast pokemon challenges i have ever seen only for the story it is really Creative and the choice of music ohhh so good

Rip florp the beedrill. The true mvp of this run
I love the plot you gave to this video lol
Only about 6 minutes in but I loved the dark twist on the nuzlocke rule narration, and in general the storytelling for this is on point.
Loved the video! That end sound you used from mystery dungeon brought back so many memories. Shame Florp had to go so soon he had so much potential.
Loved this. I would definitely watch more episodes of narrated Nuzlockes.

I love everything about this video! While part of me wishes the outcome was different, I do like how you spun the ending.
Loving your creativity dude! Great nuzlocke too 😄
Can you do the next episode of: What if ash woke up on time? Pls

That ending was fantastic. Do more insane randomness in your playthroughs!
wow your storytelling is gripping! this is my favourite video from you so far for sure
This is probably the coolest way to do a metronome nuzlocke
Nicely done. Seriously, this is exactly why I don’t use metronome, even if I never do nuzlocke
Move away the hunger games. This is the new post-apocalypse world.

Fun Fact about block: If you defeat the pokemon that used block, you can switch out again. That doesnt work when said pokemon was switched out, but in this case, you couldve been able to save Florp.

Excellent job turning the nuzlocke rules into a story. I thought that was really clever
"I don't think I hit a single ohko move this entire playthrough" Florp hit Gary's Wartortle with sheer cold on the S.S anne
