About Totem:
Something strange has appeared on earth - multiple gigantic beings with unique languages... and you're the only one who can deter them. You are the translator
A unique experience in which you are tasked with translating and conversing with unidentified entities. Your goal is to make them leave, while using their unique languages.

it is because sometimes a kirby needs a hug because he has a little anxiety and fear of aliens. But kirbys take care of each other

Because even if you hand him a step by step guide, he'll look at it in confusion and say the game makes no sense. The amount of time it took him to figure you wanted a happy confused Wreckingball was... insane.
"How do I reduce rage?" It literally says you can fire rods and tranqs. There's other buttons on the console he just stares at.... tf??

DUDE PLAY THIS THROUGH, holy crap this concept is amazing! Talk about a creative and competent developer!
So the wreckingball just heard "love is death" and "we are you" and just went NOPE IMMA END MYSELF.
When he opens the translation menu at the top left you can see his goals. Love is death made the emotional side feel empathetic. We are you confused the logical side. Thus, he just accidentally did the best possible answers without even knowing his goals.

Igp: drives an alien to suicide, "that was the cooles thing ive ever done in a videogame."
"Threat" means not him being threatening, but him being threatened
You have to make him perceive yourself as hostile, while not enraging him or making him think you're easy to kill. Once he's threatened enough, you just spook him away.
To be fair, I didn't really get that from the Instructions. It kind of sounded like that was how threatened WE were of IT.

I hope the developers add animations for the aliens to do whilst your tryin to communicate with them like gettin close to you, switchin lights randomly to add to the tension, or changin noises at random times, especially for the hostile aliens.

7 minutes in and I can tell that IGP can never be allowed to speak for the human race...
Me too...the Creaker bit actually was causing me physical pain to watch, I love him to bits...but god damn!
I'm pretty sure the threat level was how much of a perceived threat you pose to the Creaker; you are trying to scare it away whilst ensuring it doesn't get too angry at you. It seems you thought the goal was to appease the Creaker or make it feel like it poses a large threat to you, when in fact you are trying to do the opposite.
It's not really written in a way to make it seem like you're trying to make yourself a threat, because I thought the same as igp till I read this, and it seems you're probably right.
That was honestly very obvious from the get go.

This game would be absolutely INCREDIBLE in VR. Holding the translation in your off hand and selection options with your main hand. I would buy that without hesitation.

Can imagine the player character being a member of the Men in Black tasked with communicating with and convincing aliens to leave the Earth peacefully. As K once said, as long as the people never find out about aliens being on this planet.
This game is so unique and so well made, I really hope they plan on adding more creatures to it. From the look of it, there are 2 more? Cow and classified, unless classified is implying there's more to come. I instantly fell in love with this game, it's so damn awesome.

Right before the first alien left it said, "you and me are happy, I love you"
Thought this was signal simulator by the title
For the bipedal one, "Threat" wasn't showing how much of a threat the creature was, but how much of a threat it perceived You.
The whole thing you had to do was intimidate it, make it kneel to you since it was a combative species.
By saying God's Essence is Greater, you were basically saying you were stronger, while that enraged it, it started to see you as a threat.
This is so cool and I really like the creature's designs. Kinda reminds me of NGE with the spears and all.
I'd like to see more!

My theory for what WreckingBall is that it’s a ship of some kind. That would explain why it looks so mechanical, and has a display on its face. If this is true, then the two ‘states’ might actually be two alien crew members onboard the WreckingBall.
