    I’m sending this to every person who tells me horse riding isn’t a sport

    This video is absolutely true. I have been made fun of because I ride horse and I have time off school for training or I’m in hospital because of an injury. I can’t stand people that make fun of everyone that’s different.

    I learned to appreciate working with / ridding horses after having one and living next to a riding stable. I got to observe what can happen when someone got on a horse for the first time. Oh the stories I could tell.

    this is amazing, this is the first one were it includes bother western and English riding with different ways to ride, thanks for making this. I have watched so many others that just have English riders, i believe that an equestrian doesn't just have to be an English rider.

      I ride English, and I feel I see so much western riding! I suppose it depends how you look at it. On one hand, English is generally used in a lot of stuff (you wouldn’t find too many western saddles in dressage I think-) but western is generally how people think of it when they think of horseriding. Both are great and I support everyone’s opinions in this!

    This is why i want to be an equestrian. My parents always say “you just sit there” “ the horse does everything” I was very shocked when i heard that. They don’t nt know what happens they only see whats on tv.

  • @ThisisRiding_Official

    For all the people who say we just sit there. How do u think we get the horse to move? I will tell you right now when I halt, and don’t kick for the horse to get a walk, trot, canter etc they will just sit there. I can promise you that. You don’t know all the hard work and training we have to do for this sport. How about you try it.

    My friend quit horseback bc she wants to be “challenged”. I’m like, no just no the only reason it’s not challenging enough is because what? You don’t understand what it’s like to have a real bond with your horse. All my friends think it’s so easy and they could win a jumper show with no practice. They say things like “oh well *sarcastically* guess we can’t hang out, cuz ya gotta go to the barn. Dang it. Don’t you have a show later? Gosh horses are taking over your life”. No, I’m just doing what I love, horses weigh like half a ton so I’d like to see you have the gut for it

    this is absoulutly true and amazing except for one thing. big lick. that does not count as a sport that counts as cruekty and abuse.

    • @Skittles4life
      @Skittles4life 2 года назад

      It didn't have the big lick. It's called saddle seat. The horses they have naturally pick their feet up high. There is no abuse in saddle seat :D I do see how you thought it was big lick, tho.

    • @equestrathena

      @@Skittles4life there is LOTS of abuse in the saddle seat community…. lol

      @@equestrathena some people force horses in saddle seat to pick their feet up higher, but most of the time they use the horses natural gait
