The progress is not linear. Sometimes you feel like you're stuck, but you need to push through. 3 hours a day is A LOT. Best if you do as much as you're comfortable with, and aim to do it every day rather than cram the whole weekend. It must be fun and sustainable, otherwise you will quit before you will get good. Most important part is to look at your drawings the next day and look for mistakes, then try to fix them. No corrections means no growth.

I've been drawing analog my whole life until just 2 weeks ago. I surprisingly didn't have any hard time using drawing tablet, or putting on a training arc. I simply used it for an hour and I am already used to it. While my knowledge of how to do digital art like layering and stuff, I still suck at colouring and perhaps that's what my next goal is. My whole skill is meh, but at least for now I want to focus on having fun 80% and studying 20% Thanks for the video, Senpai.
I am on the basics. I am learning anatomy in university with a studio art minor. I have taken drawing I, and am taking anatomy drawing studies as well as 2D animation. The 2D animation course is god awful though as it's a "watching class". Paying $900 for something I can do at home (Will leave a very negative review for my teacher and course content). But yeah this video was super helpful
I started right with hand-eyes coordination exercises, aiming to skip years and years of random copying references. I've trained to draw perfect lines, circles, and cubes every day 4 hours, and 2 days a week for 16 hours! No joke. After 1 month I found I'm going nowhere with this. Still good at drawing that, but no actual anime. Now past 2 years I didn't draw at all, so bad it was! Still want to draw anime, but wonder where to start with.
Sorry to hear 🙁Focusing on exercises is a sure way to hate it and quit. Just draw what you like, enjoy, and are passionate about. Don't care if others say you should draw something else. Keep it fun and pick up all the other stuff (fundamentals, whatever) as you go and as they contribute to your main subject you're drawing. I mean, your drawing will still look good with shaky lines, and as you practice more, the lines will improve. Copying references is still a great way to go, just copy what you are really passionate about.
Currently I am not that skilled of a artist, i so both digital art with around 6 years of experience on it and I have developed quite refined knowledge of drawing anime characters, but im a person who is quite selfish, so I will keep improving and becoming better 😂😂
The real art advice is to *just start and have fun* you'll quickly see your first drawings will be very very bad, but you're going to draw a couple hundred bad ones before a good one comes out anyways :D - once the thirst for something better is there, then start looking into fundamentals

Well I would say if you spend 1hour of quailty study vs 2-3 hours of just quantity studies, you would definitely make it further with my quailty
