I noticed Nintendo "fixed" the 4th tier mountain glitch. On the day of the update, the box at "free" box at Island Services had the radar dish and skulls I had glitched atop the highest mountain.
One thing I'm desperately hoping for is that the plaza on Harv's island becomes more like the shopping plazas in City Folk and New Leaf where all those little trailers get upgraded into big, proper stores with enough money and attention! And I'd really like to see Gracie come back.
I don't see any of that happening. Nintendo would've shown bigger stuff like this in direct if it was a thing. Although I would love if Gracie was a secret character that appeared here and they just didn't show us her, but I doubt that either.
yeah I would love that! City folks was my favourite game. Also in new leaf I liked the camping theme with Harvey and I don’t like that they recycle this from Poket camp and nl again :(
I think there's actually a good chance that we WILL be able to find villagers cooking and have them teach us recipes, given that each villager has a cooking animation and ... a cooking "bench"? (cooking set? kitchen?)... they each have their own place to cook, as seen in the Turkey Day event. If it's already in the game, why not use it for recipe distribution? Edit: Thanks so much for all the likes! It turns out this behavior actually happens in 2.0!!
@@polyhex Yep. Stitches doesnt have a permanent bench on his house but still gets out one when he craftes a DIY, which doesnt happen very often since hes too lazy lol
@@Orion_TheyThem Exactly; they each had the chance to be cooking on Turkey Day and were assigned a special furniture piece to use in the event that they were the one chosen to cook, no matter if their houses already had the furniture or not.
Btw they showed celeste sitting at the counter in the conclusion footage after they wrapped up the direct! Which means they *should* sometimes be found sitting at the roost counter like us and not just the table area!
my guess is that random villagers or NPCs will spawn at the bar, but if you call them to the roost via the amiibo function they will probably sit at the table instead.
The sign that Leif has in front of his stand with the vegetables on it says “やさい” that means vegetables in Japanese! This update is sooo exciting! And yeah! It does translate to “yasai”
@@Redfoxpeonix yeah, ninji datamined squash and plumeria bushes a while ago, so since they said "and more" (I think) so maybe there is bell peppers and squash
This update has absolutely reinvested my interest in ACNH so I've been playing again in preparation! I even hung out with my mom and dad in their room yesterday evening so we could all play together since my mom was experiencing a meteor shower on her island. Its been forever since we've done that! I nearly restarted my island ages ago but since my kids begged me not to I just hadn't been playing at all. I'm pretty glad I listened to them now cause I would've been kicking myself!
I've been playing Animal Crossing with my mum since the Wild World days - even though I'm an adult now, we still play together! We've just spent a couple of days since the Direct helping each other prep our towns by picking flowers and such. It's been really nice, and really reminded me of the hours we spent together when I was a child, playing together ♥
I really hope villagers can go in the water on our regular islands i would love to see them swimming around especially since my island is resort themed 😫
Oh oh oh!! Remember how our sisterly villagers are always saying that they’ll make us all sorts of food? I think they’ll finally be able to do that and teach us the recipe☺️ How nice!
Awww this reminds me of having Cherry as my starter and all the way til I reset my island 😂 She would always say "I made xyz, you should try it sometime, hey what's that face for!"
One Easter egg I've barely seen anyone talk about (probably because we're so hyped for the updates) is the photos at the Roost that are callbacks to previous games. The first one shows KK Slider performing at the Roost like in Wild World and City Folk, the second one shows the Roost building from New Leaf, and the third one is a cute photo of Brewster and Blathers referencing their friendship from past games.
"I was just watching Maglevs in Love when Maglev Mike learned to cook this dish in an effort to get their relationship back in track and I was inspired to recreate it!"
Is anyone else excited for polishing?? I think people misunderstand that the items get effects when you polish them! We see this in Aurora’s plant shop and Hopkins house in the HHP. If you notice, the plant fridge in Aurora’s house gives a “cold steam” effect, or the stuffed bunny in Hopkins has hearts and the lava lamp has lighting effects! If you can polish items on your island, especially outdoors, think of all the cool effects of interacting with your items!!!
My only fear is how would one un-polish an item? Just by picking it up and putting it down again? Does un-polishing even exist? What if I polish the wrong items? Why am I so stressed about this? 😭😭
i can't believe how much nintendo is listening to their fans, first they put Sora in Smash, and now they're bustin' out a fantastic AC update, this is the biggest dub we could possibly get right now
Cept' they're not listening to our wallets, $50 Nintendo?!?! I'm still gonna get the nso expansion though. Edit: scratch that, I'm not supporting the company that are being so greedy.
We complained of nothing to do for months now I’m scared I’ll miss even the littlest feature from this update because there’s just so freaking many😭👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏽😅
I hope our villagers can interact with items like they could in pocket camp. Its a shame they cant right now. I hope the robo and, astro sets come back
I’m so, so happy we’ll eventually get to change up not just our own homes via the DLC but our neighbors’ as well! Especially with our two starting villagers and their very plain homes 😭
I thought that it was just the vacation homes, and that we can’t change the neighbours’ houses inside? 😭 I know this is the final big update basically, Nintendo has stated it.
I think you have to finish quite a few vacation homes in Happy Home Paradise in order to gain the ability to decorate villager homes, but the direct did show that the player will eventually be able to do that.
I had a quick question because I feel like no one is talking about this. The first house in the Happy home paradise trailer had like a deck or patio. Does this mean that we’ll be able to get a deck for our own house because that would be amazing
The green item on Lief’s vegetable sign is most definitely a green pumpkin. The common pumpkin that is used in cooking in Japan is kabocha which is a green exterior, orange interior pumpkin.
I hope they just add it to fish bait because that’s the only item that is supposed to be used multiple times. But I think they won’t do it to keep it slow
@@user-sg5tr6jt3y more manilla clams spawn during rain. When the game has the task of doing 3 diys, I do the bait then, unless for some reason the spawn rate is exceptionally bad. They count as shells too and you'll get nook miles if you dig up enough of them. As convenient as having 3 bait when the game wants you to catch fish, hold onto the bait and save it for high-bell catches you want to go after. The game asks for diys to be crafted fairly often and if you do bait every time, that's going to add up.
It would be so neat if specific dishes could increase your relationship with villagers, maybe based on their personality type and species OR their favorite "flavor" ; sweet, sour, bitter, etc... I'm imagining something similar to poffins from pokemon diamond/pearl. Or each villager having one or a few specific favorite dishes in general would be a great touch and would provoke different reactions when given to them to eat; similar to the roost coffee shop in new leaf when you'd have to make their coffee a certain way.
they said that there are other additions not mentioned in the direct. maybe we may get quality of life improvement too. and maybe a surprise vendor in harv's island.
I love that there is different faces for the different coffee taste. Plumeria is one of my favorite flowers irl so I’m so excited and the vines will be perfect for climbing as I think it will look so much better on some islands than a ladder. Maybe you have to use the wheat to make the flour and the cane to make the sugar before you can cook. I didn’t realize they had pizza. I’m so happy for once that I have a ton of nook miles. This update is going to be amazing. Can’t hardly wait till the 5th. BobsGang
I wish we could ask the owl about who has checked in the museum so we know if a friend has spawned there at all. Bonus points if he tells us the section they are in. Or maybe just add a guest book we can peek at so we don't bother his nap.
@@lyndsay369 His name is different in every localization. I don't know his name in English. Too lazy to search it just for a single comment. But to be honest I don't remember many of their names in neither language.
in past games he used to store them so i thought that might be why its there but tbh youre probably right since unlike past games we have way more storage so we dont need him
What I’m hoping is that Nooks cranny gets an update, even if they didn’t show it. It could be one of those things were they don’t show but we find out on our own.
I actually did notice the new weed type increased food power given by the pizza. The other stuff I didn't notice. The green thing is probably a green pumpkin, yes. I like that they added the bouncing to music animation that we see when villagers vibe to K. K. Slider's music as an actual reaction. Thank you for the video. I love the new End screen.
Seeing as the Plaza is constantly being used by NPCs and random furniture and what not appear from time to time, I HIGHLY doubt those items will be placed on the plaza itself.
Just watched another "details you missed" that was just a straight up recap of what was said in the direct… THIS is what I was looking for !! Thank you!! I hope your plaza items theory is right - the plazas are such a bald eye sore 🤣
The Nook Shop needs a three story shopping mall upgrade with Gracie running the top floor. And mini games like hide and seek, balloon popping, Bingo, ect. needs to make a return. The Post Office Pelican love triangle needs a conclusion. Dr. Shrunk and his comedy/dance club needs to make a return. Mr. Resetti needs a role other than just a voice on the phone. And Chip & Nat need to make an appearance at least a few times a year to host their versions of the tournaments. And the residents need to have more interactive personalities, they all seem muted and generically bland compared to previous iterations. I remember when villagers would call you rude names or give relevant advice and opinions.
@@NarumiNazura sometimes Cherry (my sisterly villager) comments on being at a post office in letter ever since the LAST update but there's none, which is weird
In City Folk, Brewster acted as a personal storage system for the Gyroids, so the appearance of Gyroids in the Roost suggests that Brewster may also be storing Gyroids for you in New Horizons v2.0 as well.
Omg I didn't know that brewster did that in Citi folk! I have had every game. I remember just being so overwhelmed by all the gyroids even though I loved having them!
With this new 2.0 update can I grow Gyroids in the ground and then dig them up whenever theres steam rising from the brown star thing and put them in my house like in Animal Crossing for Nintendo Gamecube and Animal Crossing New Leaf for Nintendo 3DS
I love the idea of the plaza furniture - but it DID make me wonder - they call the area at Harv's island a plaza too - so if we can't use it on our island's plaza, might that area be where they mean?
I can see your line of thinking, but it wouldn't make sense to have a few items that could only be used on Harvs Island, where no villagers are to interact with it.
I’ve seen it pointed out that non of the palm trees in the dlc trailer have fruit on them. Could we be getting bananas? I mean this game literally takes place on a tropical island so it only makes sense to have the tropical fruits back. Also maybe it’s just me, but the palm tree in new poster in the airport looks like it has bananas.
Maybe only the palm trees in HHP we could shake, so we cannot get hold on the fruits (they're supposed to be gathered via Mystery Islands after all!) I doubt there are any resources we can collect at HHP, yet alone have access to our inventory!
There was a part of the direct, when you call a villager via amiibo, with art of fortune cookies, durians, and bananas in the background. I think there's a chance!
Only just yesterday, my villagers were making a barbecue in the plaza. I don't remember that happening at all before the announcement, I took a screenshot of it.
One of my favourite new features from this update is can you customise nearly everything, from the direct it showed you could choose from the piano and soft serve lamp as well as the lighthouse and only thing Cyrus can't do was log bench which we can customise so this will make cataloging so much easier removing the need to trade for every piece. I feel this has been overlooked as in the trailer it showcases the lighthouse being customized and briefly shows the other items in the pockets. I also love the fact the Happy home paradise is DLC and not a stand alone game at full price which is cool, i think the only things i still wanted from the update was gracie gracie and she might still come to the harv's island plaza and i would have loved to see the Zelda and splatoon, Monster Hunter characters and items return.
Yea I still want Gracie to return, though it will hurt less if the Rococo set can be customized to match the old princess set. I still want Zelda items though. Every installment has had the Master Sword in it, except this one.
I'm still very very certain that the third tab you've shown of the cooking menu besides savory and sweet is NOT cooking tools but instead the cooking-version of the tab that shows you which recipes you can cook from what you have in your pocket right now. In the crafting menu, this is symbolized by a hammer so why would they now change it up like that? People would get really puzzled because that is located in the exact same spot where the ready-to-craft tab of the crafting are.
You’re the real mvp with these breakdown update videos! Thanks to your content I found my interest in the game again and like the rest, I am excited! One thing I will add is, I hope we can swim in the rivers and ponds I know that’s super random
That’s actually a good idea, I was thinking there is absolutely no reason to use that giant machine unless you have a pretty specific theme, but that might be why
8:00 It annoys me how many people think this. It does not mean new cooking tools. The whisk is there because now you can cook stuff. That's the craftable section.
The “cooking tools” tab (one with the whisk and hammer) is just the “craftable” tab, I’ve seen a lot of people theorize that this is going to be tools for cooking or display but it’s just the craftable tab it’s literally in the same space as the regular one
What I hope they sneakily did is increase the number of villagers you can have on your island! It wasn't announced and I know it's kind of a big thing, but I secretly hope for it! Not even a big add-on, just like one or two villagers more! My desire to have Shino on my island is currently contrasting with the fact I love all my villagers 😅
a good point! Honestly I kind of wished I could cap it at 8 to have one villager of each personality type. that way the dialogue wouldn’t be quite as repetitive. but these new villagers are so charming, I don’t think I’d mind the same dialogue too much! but I guess another solution would be to just patch in more dialogue haha
Bobsgang Here's another missed detail that I noticed: In the DLC you can polish furniture, but depending on the type of furniture your polishing, it'll have it's own little feature. For example, if you go back to when they were decorating Aurora's house, they polished a vase of flowers, but after it was polished, butterflies came out of it which weren't there before being polished. I actually didn't notice it at first, so I thought it would be nice to mention it.
this is so exciting! i'm almost as excited as i was for the game's launch. i can't wait to see if they're bringing back more furniture sets than we saw in the direct, and if so what those look like.
The returning furniture (at the moment) are the sleek series, the sloppy series, the rococo series, the patchwork series and the ranch series. AND FROGGY CHAIR🐸 Edit: I've been investigating a little more🤓 and I found in the direct and promotional photos new furniture that looks like it could be returning from other games, but grab it with a pinch of salt🤧: the minimalist series, like a mix with the Gracie' series and the Alphine series and the sweets series😁
11:34 I believe you can have multiple villagers per archipelago, you can see that there are 1-4 dots on each one which I would assume is where villager houses can be placed. There’s also a clip from the direct that shows them scrolling through the scrapbook of previous houses they’ve decorated and you can scroll down quite a bit so my guess is you’ll be able do decorate about 20+ homes
the direct also showed a clip of the player asking 2 villagers to share a home on an archipelago, so might get to double up on villagers for each building
The thing I'm wondering about now are the mysterious palm trees on the cliffs on one of the mysterious islands. I think they are mysterious because we all know for a fact palm trees can only be put on sand at the beach or on a sand path. Here they're on cliffs with no sand at all, maybe it has to do with the terrain? I noticed the terrain is not the brown kind back at our islands and here on the mysterious island it's white which can also be seen at one of the islands at the resort. That makes me wonder about the Pro Construction Design app you get from the Nook miles machine, so far we know the pro construction license lets you increase the numbers of inclines and bridges from 8 to 10, but part of me thinks there is a bit more than that since it's weird they would only show so far increasing the count from 8 to 10 for 3,000 Nook miles.
I think the shops on Harv's Island are supposed be permanent versions of the rotating shops so they will probably have all the same items Also the Archipelagos seem to be limited as we can see that some spots are taken up and them being taken is probably how you can make villagers share a house
@@EmmaxoOCE based on Redd's it could be less because he was show to have the raffle and 2 pieces of art but that might just be him, it will probably be the same as their plaza shops
@@justadude450 that would be disappointing. In new leaf I’m pretty sure when you upgraded liefs store he sold more things per day. In NH this is an upgrade so it should have the same principle.
Hmm I think the updated icon with hammer thing is just the “craftable/ready to craft” section Because now that there’s a new layer to diy recipes they updated the diy app to include the new mechanics
@@Orion_TheyThem yes exactly That’s what I mean But they added the whisk now because of the new cooking mechanics since it’s still in the diy recipe app
I am super excited about the new 'ruin with vines' items we can see at the end of the 'free update' segment. They look so cool and I know already where they will fit on my island!
They revealed the music box item is returning It’s got me curious if some can be bought or if all will require crafting The one they revealed was a nice wooden one which is new because previously it was only the shell one available. I hope there’s going to be several different ones! That brings me back to original musicbox, in New Leaf we could get them by bringing a song and giant clam shell to cyrus Now we craft things ourselves; and so I was wondering about the “og musicbox” and I spotted it twice in rewatches so I can confirm the the shell musicbox will return, I feel like it has to be a new craftable item because we can craft other shell items and we can definitely collect the giant clam shells again! So why *wouldn’t* it be?
@@ShannonHarper no idea But the shell one was from new leaf and a cyrus crafted item so it would make sense to have a new recipe for that Sometimes Nintendo gifts are found in the special “daily selection” tab of nook shopping So it’s possible that you can buy it there too Or it will be a regular shop item or otherwise craftable
Oh I saw the shell music box in one of the HHP rooms, can’t remember which character but the room was full of mermaid furniture. It was one of my favourite items I’m so excited for its return!
one issue I have with Leif sign being a pumpkin instead of a bell pepper is why use the green variantion when the orange one would be more distinct and recognizable? It would make no sense to me
Exactly. Why not just go with the well known orange pumpkin if it's a dang pumpkin. Also you can do obviously tell it's a bell pepper just by its shape.
im guessing its just to make the colors pop more, the sign and the other vegetables are all warm tones, do adding another orange thing might not look too great what bugs me is the shape, the pumpkins are do round in the game, i don't know why they wouldn't also make it round on the sign if it was actually a pumpkin
In the direct all the coconut trees are empty? Could it be that we get an other short of fruit....banana? In the direct with the new deer villager you can see a different color fence but you cant see it well because the snow covers the color.
I have to disagree with one point as I 100% think that the green picture on Leif's board is a pepper as there is a new stuffed pepper recipe which is in the direct. Check it out.
8:33 wait... CROSSWALK SIGNALS?? I totally missed them in the trailer... Yooo I'm soooo freaking hyped to see how they will look like in the game!! I always wanted something like this and they will fit perfectly to my city island!! Ahhhh omg
Man, i really loved the update and all, but the Kapp'n island is really underwhelming tho, specially for the people who were waiting for something to do on multiplayer, since it's a pretty shallow experience. We went from dozens of fun mini-games, things to buy and rare bugs and fishes to just vines and weed...
I'm crossing my fingers that we'll see even more new plants than what was shown. There's just so much potential to add new and exotic flora that can't be found anywhere else in the game. Like maybe we could find new fruit trees as well?
@@Whatever6479 Yes and I'm also thinking new insects and fish endemic to the islands, that would explain the differents times of day / season thing, and add new stuff to the museum
I know with the DLC, once you get to a certain point, you have the chance to redesign your villagers home exteriors (I believe) as well as the different design options for your own home, but will we be able to do the same with the plaza design? That would be amazing. My island has a traditional japanese theme to it, but my plaza just doesn't fit the design. I hope everyone has a great Day/Night!
I imagine that the veggies will be able to be purchased on the shop island, as it seems like the island will be permanent spots for these characters once you've unlocked their shops.
Bob's Gang! You're like the first RUclipsr who I've seen who actually mentioned some hidden stuff and not just actual features mentioned in the Direct that they just missed during their excitement. Very excited for everything and I'm excited for you to have new content to talk about. I was scared you weren't going to have much to do until you set up your gaming channel, even though it's clear you really love ACNH
This update was nearly everything I could've possibly asked for, aside from some quality of life stuff and the observatory where you can create constellations with Celeste 🥺 but regardless I'm stoked, absolutely gonna start flattening my island in preparation.
Bob's gang. I am really glad you pointed out the plaza title on some of the stuff. I was wondering the same thing. I noticed that there was a plaza teacup ride. We already have a teacup ride so I wonder if it's different or if they are specifically things that go only in the plaza area. If so will the villagers maybe ride on the rides or play the games that you put there? Or are they gearing up to allow us to move the residence center and have a separate plaza area? I feel like moving the residence center is the only thing that the community really wanted but didn't get...and being able to lay rugs outside. Or is that just me?
In the direct, didnt they call the expansion at harv's, a plaza? I dont think we will be able to decorate our plaza, but it makes me think that maybe there is an upgrade from the traveling vans and they are talking about a plaza over there.
Here’s a question: it’s really cool that Brewster is back but what is the point of going to him? Like you have a coffee, a character might come…. Then what? Like so you get a new item or bells? Just curious 🤨
Yeah this is something I've been wondering about as well. I was hoping to be able to work for him and get some exclusive Brewster furniture or diys. Right now I feel like I'll just visit a few times and that's it. It's ironically ended up being one of the pieces of content I'm the least excited about in this update.
To be honest, whilst I do believe this could be true, it's important to remember that Nintendo has said things like this before and then gone back on it. If this DLC sells incredibly well (which it will) we may see more later on down the line. Don't forget we got the Welcome Amiibo Update so late into the lifespan of New Leaf!
@@Hyper_Kong I think money wise they won’t just drop small changes because as we can see this DLC will bring in a lot of money so don’t lose hope 🥺 but if it does end up being small updates I hope it’s quality of life updates and like books cranny and ables expanding
Also early on in the direct at 4:57 there is an item you can redeem called “pro construction license” My hope is that this gives us the HHD outdoor design tools. So hopefully no more picking things out of our pockets and shoving them around, and we’ll finally be able to use the grid
I doubt it, unfortunately. Rendering it would be too much, unless they did it in sections, akin to how the first game rendered small areas instead of smooth scrolling.
@@TheEmraldz tbh that’s how I’d imagine it would work, I men’s white foo still have defined acres that could be divided into sections. Maybe we’d get to pick the acre we want to work in?
I don't think the tab in the crafting table is the tools tab, I'm pretty sure it's the "craftable" tab :) so I don't think we'll get any new cooking tools
I just realized one of the new KK songs is literally Hatsune KK. It's got a katakana title on the album art that reads reads "KK-loid" and he even has blue hair lmao
I wonder whether we will get the new furniture in nooks or we have to purchase the DLC for it! But overall Im soooo Excited, Im seriously grateful to Nintendo for this new update!!
Sorry for nitpicking but Archipelago is a GROUPING of islands that makes up a place. So you wouldn't be sailing to "the different archipelagos" or designing a home "PER archipelago" you would be sailing to islands in the archipelago. I've seen multiple people make this mistake. It's kinda grating on me.

If you notice, the plant fridge in Aurora’s house gives a “cold steam” effect, or the stuffed bunny in Hopkins has hearts and the lava lamp has lighting effects! If you can polish items on your island, especially outdoors, think of all the cool effects of interacting with your items!!!
I love the butterflies and I'm interested to see what all the effects are like 😄

As convenient as having 3 bait when the game wants you to catch fish, hold onto the bait and save it for high-bell catches you want to go after.
I mean, they have the 'flavours' so its pretty doable

In City Folk, Brewster acted as a personal storage system for the Gyroids, so the appearance of Gyroids in the Roost suggests that Brewster may also be storing Gyroids for you in New Horizons v2.0 as well.
thats what i thought too, idk if they will since we have a lot of storage space compared to the past games but it would be still nice
No, there were some with coconuts. Especially on the archipelago.
The end of the direct showed Celeste sitting down at the counter so I hope Isabelle can sit and not just have to get take away
Probably with the amiibo
Only just yesterday, my villagers were making a barbecue in the plaza. I don't remember that happening at all before the announcement, I took a screenshot of it.
It doesn’t happen very often but that’s been in the game for a while
One of my favourite new features from this update is can you customise nearly everything, from the direct it showed you could choose from the piano and soft serve lamp as well as the lighthouse and only thing Cyrus can't do was log bench which we can customise so this will make cataloging so much easier removing the need to trade for every piece.
Oh my, this comment! Everything I think, too! :D Especially the Zelda-part * sigh *

That is a great thought & I bet you’re right.
Yeah this makes sense. Can you imagine having to craft like, a whisk that eventually breaks 😫 I really hope that’s not what happens lol

When you talk about the customization on the DLC archipelago, there are little dots on the map that tell you how many spots you can put houses in
I strongly believe they spent some extra time on that amazing machine for a reason. Bulk crafting anyone?
Oooohhh I didn't even think of that!!!
That’s actually a good idea, I was thinking there is absolutely no reason to use that giant machine unless you have a pretty specific theme, but that might be why
@@squishybear8286 The amazing machine was included in new leaf, so i believe they're just readding old furniture
My biggest pet peeve in NH is not being able to bulk craft. I really hope it’s a feature coming to the new update
8:00 It annoys me how many people think this. It does not mean new cooking tools. The whisk is there because now you can cook stuff. That's the craftable section.
But it’d be interesting if you did have cooking tools.

Here's another missed detail that I noticed:
In the DLC you can polish furniture, but depending on the type of furniture your polishing, it'll have it's own little feature. For example, if you go back to when they were decorating Aurora's house, they polished a vase of flowers, but after it was polished, butterflies came out of it which weren't there before being polished. I actually didn't notice it at first, so I thought it would be nice to mention it.
By the looks of it you'll be able to decorate homes on each of the shaded dots (e.g. 4 on the desert type one)
this is so exciting! i'm almost as excited as i was for the game's launch. i can't wait to see if they're bringing back more furniture sets than we saw in the direct, and if so what those look like.
I bet it's going to be furniture from happy home designer. There was a lot tho
1:30 is Brewster gonna store our Gyriods like in past Animal Crossing games?
The returning furniture (at the moment) are the sleek series, the sloppy series, the rococo series, the patchwork series and the ranch series. AND FROGGY CHAIR🐸
Edit: I've been investigating a little more🤓 and I found in the direct and promotional photos new furniture that looks like it could be returning from other games, but grab it with a pinch of salt🤧: the minimalist series, like a mix with the Gracie' series and the Alphine series and the sweets series😁
Wow really?! I didn't notice any of the sloppy furniture! :O
so excited abt the sloppy furniture!! it was one of my faves, besides gracie's sweets set
The Plaza items may also be for the Plaza of shops on Harv’s island. Maybe it makes it have kind of a county fair/carnival vibe :)
I'm honestly just glad to see Tortimer is still alive
11:34 I believe you can have multiple villagers per archipelago, you can see that there are 1-4 dots on each one which I would assume is where villager houses can be placed. There’s also a clip from the direct that shows them scrolling through the scrapbook of previous houses they’ve decorated and you can scroll down quite a bit so my guess is you’ll be able do decorate about 20+ homes
the direct also showed a clip of the player asking 2 villagers to share a home on an archipelago, so might get to double up on villagers for each building
I was waiting for this video. A little over 2 weeks! This reminds me a lot of the month before acnh launch
11:38 if you look there are dark dots on each archipelago that I assume represent the villager slots, so bigger ones have 4, some have 2 etc..
Yeah true! Thats way too high if a price for just minimal uogrades
I think the shops on Harv's Island are supposed be permanent versions of the rotating shops so they will probably have all the same items
Also the Archipelagos seem to be limited as we can see that some spots are taken up and them being taken is probably how you can make villagers share a house
Hopefully now they sell a wider range of items daily. Their little pop up stores at the plaza didn’t always have a wide range of items.
Since they're all in RVs they might rotate out and visit your island
Hmm I think the updated icon with hammer thing is just the “craftable/ready to craft” section
Because now that there’s a new layer to diy recipes they updated the diy app to include the new mechanics
That's always been there when you go to craft items. It shows what you can craft based on what's in your pockets.
@@Orion_TheyThem yes exactly

that would kinda just make it super easy for people to get rich though, not very fun imo

They revealed the music box item is returning
It’s got me curious if some can be bought or if all will require crafting
The one they revealed was a nice wooden one which is new because previously it was only the shell one available. I hope there’s going to be several different ones!
That brings me back to original musicbox, in New Leaf we could get them by bringing a song and giant clam shell to cyrus
Now we craft things ourselves; and so I was wondering about the “og musicbox” and I spotted it twice in rewatches so I can confirm the the shell musicbox will return, I feel like it has to be a new craftable item because we can craft other shell items and we can definitely collect the giant clam shells again! So why *wouldn’t* it be?
I just wonder if it’ll be the update Nintendo thank you gift
@@ShannonHarper no idea
But the shell one was from new leaf and a cyrus crafted item so it would make sense to have a new recipe for that

one issue I have with Leif sign being a pumpkin instead of a bell pepper is why use the green variantion when the orange one would be more distinct and recognizable? It would make no sense to me
Exactly. Why not just go with the well known orange pumpkin if it's a dang pumpkin. Also you can do obviously tell it's a bell pepper just by its shape.
im guessing its just to make the colors pop more, the sign and the other vegetables are all warm tones, do adding another orange thing might not look too great

We already have a teacup ride so I wonder if it's different or if they are specifically things that go only in the plaza area. If so will the villagers maybe ride on the rides or play the games that you put there? Or are they gearing up to allow us to move the residence center and have a separate plaza area? Here’s a question: it’s really cool that Brewster is back but what is the point of going to him? Like you have a coffee, a character might come…. Then what? Like so you get a new item or bells? Just curious 🤨
Yeah this is something I've been wondering about as well. I was hoping to be able to work for him and get some exclusive Brewster furniture or diys. Right now I feel like I'll just visit a few times and that's it. It's ironically ended up being one of the pieces of content I'm the least excited about in this update.
Really hoping Nintendo didn't add him to the game only because fans demanded it, and didn't put any actual effort into making The Roost good. lol
@@PinkKirlia281 the roost’s unfinished data was in the files since launch so it definitely wasn’t just bc of fans
the diy set in nooks is probably the diy for the cooking tools rather than actual food cooking recipes
November 5th is the last ever update for the game. Nintendo confirmed to IGN that after November, the game will only receive small changes. 💔😔
They confirmed it was the last “free” update so I’m guessing it will be paid updates from now on?
@@cecelove2821 They said it will only receive small changes after November 5th. Paid DLC is not classified as small changes.
Also early on in the direct at 4:57 there is an item you can redeem called “pro construction license”
My hope is that this gives us the HHD outdoor design tools.
It's got a katakana title on the album art that reads reads "KK-loid" and he even has blue hair lmao
now THIS is a video of things I didn't catch in the direct. thanks for the video mate :)
However, there won't be cooking tools. The only new tool showed off is that ladder, and thats the craftable section, not the tools
Not gonna lie, that ranch sink looks better than the ironwood sink. It might just be me, though.
The ranch sink looks better than all of the sinks we had in the game. I never liked any of them. lol
