I so agree that I wish they would have moved KK to the Roost. There's also a special message if you have good fortune with health when you use the toilet. Nintendo really focused on your digestion there.
With all due respect, it makes a lot more sense to have him in the Plaza. That's how the game 'ended' and that's meant to be symbolic of him being at the place that is the 'heart' of the island. It makes more sense in the limited narrative

If the weather on your island is rainy, snowy, or cloudy then go on a Kapp'n tour if the island that Kapp'n takes you on has different weather or a different time of day, you can actually see the sky transitioning while Kapp'n is singing and it do this when you're going back to your island.
I've gotten the shooting star island, and it transitioned gradually from day to night during the boat ride. It looked especially cool with it transitioning through morning.

I figured out that if you go to Harvey's island after 12pm, all of the villagers working there will be asleep except for Harvey, Harriet, and Redd for some reason, Also if you go to The Roost during the new year celebration, Brewster will also say "Have a Happy New Year"
If you do stretches before 12 noon on Sunday, you can get Daisy Mae involved! And she doesn't drop a single turnip! After 12 Noon, she relaxes in the Roost, and you can get a bit of new dialog. She doesn't wear her turnip hat, and she is SO cute!
I noticed the thing with Kappn refusing if you haven't redeemed your free NMT. One of my side-characters I don't play often hasn't been on a Mystery Tour ever. Despite her being over 1 year old lol
The Kapp’n thing happened to my secondary character - she’d never used her ticket because I had found out that only the Resident Representative can do villager hunts. This has now been remedied! Brewster wished me a Happy New Year this morning. Happy birthday to Bob!
strange because i have two profiles as well, when i started the game back in August (i'm main profile)my sister went on a nook miles island and found Gladys and invited her over.This was in the time where we had just 2 villagers on the island and other 3 had to move over
There would typically be all sorts of very rare dialogue that you'd never see unless the only way you'd encounter the situation was through some sort of glitch exploit or hacking. They'd have it to prevent the game from crashing outright. It's called Developer's Foresight.
The Happy Home Paradise profile customization I believe is always there. But I think you unlock the patterns the more houses you visit. I have the colors unlocked but I haven't visited any homes so I don't have the "Dots" option unlocked. Either that, or the colors are unlocked when you upload photos of your own houses/facilities, because I have mine full. And maybe you unlock the colors along with the patterns when you reach the house visit milestones, even if you haven't uploaded any of your own photos.
Idk if it’s from the 2.0 or not, but on January 1, the ABD in resident services will give you 500 NM as an apology for not being able to use it on December 31 and then the counter will start from +7 days, even if you didn’t have a streak at all

Even if you have used your nook miles ticket if you have a second profile on the same switch that has not done their nook miles ticket you'll get the dialog from Kappn about needing to use that ticket first before that additional profile can use Kappn's Island tour.

Big fan here! I found out for the first time a couple days ago that your character reacts along with villagers when they are having a conversation with one another and you chat with them! So so cool
It's brilliant isn't it? I've had some really comical conversations with that. It's one of the reasons it's good to spend time just playing the game and wandering around your island. If you rush you miss this sort of thing.
The other day I was buying stuff on the archipelago and didn't have enough poki to purchase an item and Wardell was just like 'yeah you can have it now just pay me back later' which isnt something I've seen anyone talk about??? Very cool though

Occasionally, an NPC will sit on one of the stools in the Roost and talk about their work on the island if you talk to them. So far, I've encountered Daisy Mae (on Sundays after 12 noon), Sable (after the Able sisters shop closes), Sonny Resetti and Don Resetti. I'm told that you can also find Celeste there if you go to the Roost before 7pm on days when she visits the island, but haven't run into her there myself.
I got the villager with the toilets and I was just like wot- Then ofc I made him his toilet paradise with 7 toilets, including, the wonderful golden toilet.

I wish Harvey had a varied set of items that you could purchase that are only obtainable from him just as the previous game new leaf. I also think it would have been fun if Harriet began to sell wigs as well as giving out new hairstyles from time to time. Just small small details that would make the npcs even more relevant. 👀

You can also clap along with KK now by pressing the A button just like with Kappn. At least, I'm fairly sure you couldn't do that before the update.

Noticed since the last patch now on vine island the palm trees on the cliffs are now planted under sand patches instead of the grass
But while decorating on Paradise you can still place them on the grass. I just add sand for the sake of consistency.
