    I love the peach highlight but Raeleen looks great with the blond highlight too ?!
    I'm Japanese but I had never heard of the word "momofuku" so I had to look it up. haha
    I'm still not sure but it seems like Momofuku (百福 or 桃福) used to be a name for boys long time ago. But the word that exists in dictionaries is actually 百福 (hyakufuku), which means, as written (百 hyaku=100 & 福 fuku=fortune in Japanese), a lot of happiness. But the kanji 百 here could be read as "momo". Momo (桃) means peach in Japanese. So if you writes the kanji like 桃福 and sees it literally, it'll be "lucky peach". It was prized as a fruit of longevity that brings longevity.
    ...if anyone cares. 😂

    in principle, I do not like short stories at all, but one collection that I really loved was the secret lives of church ladies. I think it has super strong stories throughout the entire book and has left me feeling so gripped and emotionally moved, which I didn’t think would be possible with a short story. The stories were short, but satisfying! maybe this can help those out of a short story rut, who have experienced mediocrity

    You have to try Mariana Enríquez's short stories. Personally I started with "things we lost in the fire"-these ones are faster and shorter, a great introduction to her writing and lore, then "the dangers of smoking in bed" is way slower and they tend to be longer stories. I recommend this collection if you already enjoyed her writing and you end up craving for more

    I gave up on short stories because I think I started finding them exhausting. I was reading a lot of the L. M. Montgomery story collections. I liked some stories, others were meh, you know the deal. I must've read about 6 collections, not back to back, but within a year maybe, then I needed a break. A couple years later I tried to read another L. M. Montgomery short story collection and after just a few stories I realized I just couldn't do it again. Getting introduced to so many different characters and settings and situations over and over and over again became exhausting. My own life feels like it's moving too fast a lot of the time so read these little snippets became unsatisfying. So I gave up on short stories and just read novels for my fiction now. Short novels, long novels, doesn't matter. I just want a fully fleshed out scenario where I really get to know characters and see them grow and can take my time with it. Less stories, more substance, you know?

    On colors. Peach is the exact middle of orange and pink. So then I'm wondering: what is coral? Because I've been on the hunt for the perfect coral lipstick for years and I'm afraid it doesn't exist. Everything I find is either too orange or too pink. Perhaps coral is also the exact middle of orange and pink? But whereas peach is a soft color, maybe coral is more vibrant? Maybe if an actual peach is a bit more orange, actual coral is a bit more pink? Is it? It's hard to tell colors underwater haha

    • @maryammahmoudigharaie

      In my head, peach was a color between pink and orange with more of pink undertone and coral the opposite.

    • @Elle_Riley
      @Elle_Riley 6 месяцев назад +2

      yeah in my mind and googling, both can really cover the spectrum of pink to orange but peach is definitely more of a pastel shade!
      when it comes to lipstick, i'm sure it's also tricky bc every colour will look different against each person's skin tone 😩 what I'd suggest is finding a cream lip palette where you can mix shades together to find your perfect one, while trying out many different tones without having to buy a new one every time only to be disappointed! also if you find the exact colour you want, you can then save a little container of it to bring and swatch next to new lipsticks that you're hopeful about :):)
      a quick search pointed me towards the NYX pro lip cream palette (shade: the pinks) as one that could get you to coral, or, on the other side of the price spectrum, the Make Up For Ever 'Flash Color Palette Multi-use Cream Color Palette' which has a bright coral shade already, fuschia, primary colours, black/white, etc etc and thus i'm pretty sure you could achieve just about any colour you wanted, *plus* it can be used all over your face not just your lips, for like wild halloween makeup or something if you wanted. However, it is over $100 sooooooo... much less practical hahaha. Good luck !

    • @ochoheido
      @ochoheido 5 месяцев назад

      @@Elle_Riley Interesting. I've never seen lip cream palettes before. Because yes I have bought so many tubes of lipstick to be disappointed and then I'm like what do I do with it now? That other one sounded good until you said $100 😰 Haha But while a palette sounds interesting, I love the simple glamour of a tube of the "perfect" lipstick
