Awesome fry pattern Barry. I've seen those sparkling shoals of pin minnows following the rip rap in the warm water lake I fish. That's a great imitation with key trigger points. Thanks! PS those eyes are absolute killers!
Thanks Joe, When fishing this in concrete bowls (reservoirs in the UK) the larger trout attack the shoals so hard that some of them end up on the concrete bank, flap around and make their way back into the water, amazing to see!
I tied Mchaffies Storm fry 40 tears ago and the body was a strip of clear plastic bag. Robert will have caught thousands of sea trout with this pattern over the years,,,,,,nice video thanks
Excellent, as always. These will look great in my fly box. A question, please... Would it be possible for you to tie a few flies using ostrich herls? I happened to acquire some and not quite sure what to tie with them. Thank you.
Thanks Louis, I have many videos and patterns that I use ostrich herl heres a couple: ruclips.net/video/eYE0dvqvUG8/видео.html ruclips.net/video/54nOc62CNA8/видео.html
no - anything that eats small minnows (which is most all fish over 10 inches long). I catch a lot of bass and crappies on a very similar pattern. Cheers!
Very nice Barry. As always, tied and described well so we understand how-to. Thank you for another one dude.
Thanks Dude.
That's a great fry pattern. Never tried those in stillwaters...We'll have to give it a try. Thanks again, Barry.
Thanks James, yes fish it in the shallows around weed beds and any other structure, they work a treat.
Well tied Barry. A great fry pattern.
Thanks Michael.
Look like to be build for life time fishing, very nice job sir. Thanks again
Thanks Hugo, yes a very robust fly.

Thanks Peter.
A very good fly! Thank you, Mr Clark!
Thank you.
Steady hands! Well done!
Going to try this for sea trout, perhaps a wee bit bigger. Yellow. Mallard wing w gold/ yellow body for a sand eel imitation.
Let me know how you get on with it!
I'd fish that. Thanks Bender!
Thanks Paul.

That will catch fish very nicely tied.
Thanks Daniel.
Very nice.
Thanks Randy.
Elegant look to it. Sort of like a racing Greyhound in form, IMO.
Thanks, yes a very streamline pattern, both aero and aqua dynamic.
Nice! Because we can fish more than one fly at a time I may fish this three flies to a cast and see if it works as well!!
Thanks Kerry, yes why not! Let me know how you get on if you try that.
@@Thefeatherbender I will for sure Barry!
That's more of what I thought these look like. Most have all kind of shite attached. I'll give these a go.
Thats what it should look like Rick, good luck with it.
This is the first I’ve seen this pattern. Why no tail? Does it imitate a specific species?
It's a pin fry, no tail and it imitates all types of newly hatched bait fish.
I’m running out of time on a Montana trip. I’m going to try to give it a go.
Pretty! only for trout?

Hi Sebastien, merci, No anything that eats small bait fish...
Hi Barry. This is great. Can I ask which glow in the dark resin and black resin you use. Thanks.
