- Опубликовано: 5 июл 2020
- One of the true classic trout flies and without doubt the best known from the Wulff series, first tied by Lee Wulff in the early 1930's. This version is a little unusual as its tied with a parachute hackle.

This fly is so amazing. I think I'll go away and come back after I practice for the next 50 years. Well done Barry; you are a true master.
Thank you SF, practice makes perfect.
So very nicely done. I do believe that Lee and Joan would enjoy this video as much as I.
Thank you for a very nice compliment!
Very nice and precise! Tight lines🪲🦗🦟!!!!
Thank you.
Ok... this is a must try tie for me. Thanks for the amazing videos.
Best regards,
From West Virginia, USA.
Thanks GG, best wishes from Norway!
Definitely well done! Thanks!! Greetings from Finland. It’s a little bit chilly, windy and rainy but can’t help... our traditional summer weather.
Same traditional summer weather here in Norway too!
Very impressive! Love the way you turned it to attach hackle.
Glad you like it Tony!
Thanks Barry magical absolutely
Thank you Mervyn.
That's a great looking tie, Barry. Thanks for sharing.
No problem James, Thanks.
Nice work Barry! I seldom use a Royal Coachman myself but I love tying them. Ever since you showed the method and position of your fly when you get ready to wrap the hackle parachutes have been a bit easier! Always appreciate your knowledge sharing, I had a tough night, going to sleep as I write this, back to bed for a bit!
Thanks Kerry, sweet dreams.
Nice variant there Barry. Thank you for another one dude.
Thanks Dude.
One of my favorite, most used dry fly . The old standards still work the best
Thank Leonard, they sure do...
Great fly and magnificent tie. Thanks for refining one of my favorite flies and kindest thoughts from down-under in NZ.
Thanks John, god luck with it.
Very nicely done. The Royal Wulff used to be my “ go to” pattern on Michigan’s AuSable River back in the day. Thanks.
Thanks Ed.
Beautifully done. I think a lot of people would appreciate a 30sec comment on how, why and when you fish different patterns. Not to be be prescriptive at all but it might be engaging to see what different people think.
Thanks Andrew, Noted!
Very neat pattern, almost unreachebly accurate performance. As always. Respect, thanks!
Thanks SB.
Nicely done. I tied these up when I first started tying but have moved on to flies that are impressionistic and easy to tie. Nearly 20 minutes to tie a fly and a mere 15 seconds for me to get it lost in the bushes🙃
Thanks G, yeah impressionistic is goooood!
Nice one tanks Barry👍
Barry, excelente trabajo con su permiso lo voy a repetir, muchas gracias.
Gracias Daniel.
Nice pattern Bender, thanks.
Thanks Paul.
Many thanks for sharing sir, I make so many research in my begening (not a long time :)) in all traditional fly, i was a bit creasy for the original. Lee & Joan Wulff fly are one of my go to fly also. Never try parachute in any fly, you get me. I will try. have a good one (excuse my english again)
Merci Hugo!
La classica della Pesca a Moscha 👍
Grazie Alessandro.
simply beautiful.
Thank you Robert.
"Tink" love that. Lol.
brilliant!
Thanks John.
excellent
Merci Franck.
Nice one Barry....I can ask you a question..? Have you ever use the J:sonSweden method for the wings ? There are very realistic but I’m wondering if the fly will spin during the cast.
Hi Luca, thanks. No I have never used any J-Son products but I do find that wings of this manner tend to be for show and not really fishing.
The feather bender thank for the answer. I tough that too, by the way I just tightened you extended body for the mayfly for the first time. Fabulous....👍❤️
Very nice fly.
Where do you get your ideas for fly patterns?
Thanks Jason, just about everywhere really but mostly from other tyers and patterns that I think, that would work well...
@@Thefeatherbender OK thank you, when I start leaning how to tie fly I will for sure try to make this one cheers
🔥🔥🔥👏👏Muhteşem
Thank you Osman.
Me encantan tus atados, pero creo que usas demasiada seda de montaje para atarlos....
Gracias Luis.
