    I’m a groomer and it makes me so happy to see people like you taking such great care of your lucky sweet dog, and then sharing how with everybody. You explain and demonstrate so beautifully! Thank you so much❤️

    Watching your video as I prepare to groom my Havanese for the very first time. She's 5 years old and sadly, I haven't kept up with her like I should. Her hair has grown long and I've been scared as I didn't even know where to begin. Thank you for your video. It's given me some much needed confidence that I can do this. Love my girl immensely. She is my emotional support animal and was prescribed to me after I lost my only Son in a car accident. She saved my life. She is my life. Thank you again.

      +Lisa Gordon you are very welcome. Hugs! You can do this! As you practice it will get easier too! So touching to hear your Havanese helped you! 💜💜💜 you are loved!

      @@WittleHavanese You're such a kind and compassionate person. It is reflected in your videos and seen in the love and care you give to your Havanese. It is further demonstrated in your comment to me. I admit, you got the tears flowing but it's wonderful to feel again.
      Thanks to you, I completed my first groom today. It is a lot of work but so rewarding and enriching. She came out pretty good and I think I did well for my first time. I only made one mistake, I trimmed far too much of her tail off and it's not very pretty but She doesn't seem to mind. She's snuggled up by my side as I write this, her head is resting on my leg. Other than the tail, she looks great. I don't love her for her beauty anyway. I love her for being the greatest dog I've ever known and for bringing so much love and support into my life. It's the most unconditional love I've ever known and by far the best decision I've ever made.
      Hugs!

      Lisa Gordon thank you so much for your comments. Great job! I’m so glad you are happy with the results. And I’m touched I could help by making this video. I’m glad your Havi brings you joy and love! You deserve to feel joy and love! 💜 I am proud of you. Thank you for sharing! Hugs! 💜💜🐾

      @@WittleHavanese You're amazing! So genuine. Just a truly beautiful soul. Nice to know there's still people like you out there in a world so often fueled with hate and discord. Empathy and love for one another is so very important.. yet it's rare to find nowadays. I should have known it would be connected to my Havanese. Girl, I think you might have just restored my faith in humanity. Something I was beginning to think was not possible. Thank you. My heart and soul truly truly thank you.

    This video was invaluable to me. My Havanese is petrified of going to the groomer. My groomer is great, and my dog behaves well, but every single trip is a poop fest! Your instructions are clear and easy to follow. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

    Your instructions are so helpful to me because I have just started grooming my Havanese myself. I feel like I now can do this with confidence. However, if I mess up, her hair will always grow back and I can watch you grooming videos again and start over. Thank you for sharing your know how with us.

    I've honestly searched though so many videos looking for a straight forward explanation from someone who isnt a professional groomer. I was hesitant to buying grooming supplies due to my lack of knowledge, but after watching you i have a little more courage haha

    Thanks for the grooming tips! You suggested not going too short at first with the shaver. What setting did you have it on when you groomed your dog? It seems like a nice length.

    Great channel. We needed this channel and you are doing great. Question: I have a Havanese..she is 15 months old. I finally started grooming her and I trim her feet, pads, sanitary and belly. I also take a little off the length to keep her lines. I tried using a thinning sheer and it seems great for thinning out the thickness. Didn’t use it a lot yet. I would love to keep her long and thin her out since her hair is so thick. What do you recommend? Also, id love to trim her face but I’m unsure how to proceed. I really want to keep the long hair and clean it up. Thanks for the advice.

    • @WittleHavanese
      @WittleHavanese  5 лет назад

      Eunice Franco thanks so much! I’m planning to do a video for exactly that on willow. Hope to have it up soon. Thinning shears are a great idea but honestly it’s probably not necessary to thin it.

      Are you saying you want to hear that more in my video or to tell your dog that? You can certainly tell yours more. Remember my videos are edited and I cut a lot of the redundant video to make the videos easier to watch. 🐾

    I love your videos. I do have a question you mentioned you used a # 5 , but my clippers have 12,9,6&3 mm? Also my clipper has a ring with the numbers 0.8,1.4 and 2.0.. might you know what that all means ?
