Range Road (Franklin)

So many Range Roads so few time! This isnt much of a road, more like a weed eating expedition. Logging was recently done and the fresh new sunlight hitting the bushes has caused the ReGen to take over wildly. This road is sure to be lost soon to nature as the road is nearly impossible to even find when youre sitting on it. Luck on our side today as I was able to document this one before it becomes a Lost Road for good.

damn dont look like much of a road. is it really open? be nice to have a group run through it once in a while.

@orionoutdoorsandworkshop5617 everything I found online shows that this is indeed a Class 6 Road, and an email received from the town Department also confirms that it is still class 6 road way. There was a logging operation done in there a few years ago and they did a complete clear-cut period in some places they caught on both sides of the road. This allowed the regency and undergrowth to grow pretty wildly and full. A lot of it looks like it bent over into the road, probably with heavy snowfall last winter. There is a gate at the East end but it's not locked. It's two wood poles with a piece of PVC pipe slid through the middle it definitely meets all the requirements of a gate or bar that is allowed on a Class 6 road.
