Snackerty Road

This is a very popular trail in Barnstead. known sometimes as the OSG trail. It is closed during mud season for good reason. march to the end of may this road can get bottomless in the mud holes. Town closes it for good reason those months. Its about 2 miles across an can be traveled either direction. use caution at 2 particular points. the bridge. The bridge is very narrow and its not secure. its logs fashioned into stringers and cross members. If you hit that bridge doing 25 you'll kick out the beams and create holes in the bridge for others to potentially fall into while crossing. the other is that drop into the water just after you start (or as youre about to finish) the rock ledge will catch on lower clearance trucks. my step side caught it just a bit on my way down. but overall a nice clean easy road i do suggest higher clearance trucks for this one for the few holes and rocks you will encounter.
